Earlier this year we purchased coffee beans for the 250th Navy birthday and they are more than happy to grind your beans for you. Yesterday I ordered my go to large half sweet Liberty Bell latte. I appreciate that they are able to make this accommodation to my drink of choice. While meeting my Saturday morning coffee group I was offered samples of their Irish Crème coffee as well as their red velvet cake. The staff is friendly and welcoming and normally stops by to check in on our group. The setting is warm and inviting. There are couches to sit at as well as tables. I was making a large order for my coworkers and needed an itemized receipt. When I asked for one, I was told they couldn't provide it due to the power outage. I then asked if they could pull up my order on the tablet so I could take a photo of it, and I was told "yes, one second." However, after my order was ready and I followed up, the staff member seemed irritated and repeated that they couldn't provide a receipt because of the power issue. I clarified that I only needed to take a picture of the order on the screen, which I thought we had already agreed on. I also didn't realize that every add-on they offer comes with an extra charge. For example, when asked what kind of milk I wanted, it wasn't mentioned that 2% milk (which is typically the default) had an upcharge. Additionally, when a soft top was offered for an iced drink, it wasn't disclosed that it was a $1.50 extra charge. This was frustrating, as these add-ons were suggested by staff without clarifying the additional cost. While the issue was eventually resolved, I left feeling unhappy with the overall experience.
