Service is quick and friendly, with some coughing, a good, well-priced environment, and comfortable I enjoyed my black coffee, which is my preference. If coffee needs sugar, it doesn't deserve it; on the other hand, my friend loved the iced mocha.

Staff was very friendly, the store is cool and clean. Double tap shaken espresso was decent but their black coffee was not good. If you want a good drink it has to be masked with the sugar. Definitely wouldn't say it's the best quality coffee but the concept of this place is cool

During my birthday week, my husband and I came in to this side of town to try some different barbecue places, and what else do I love as much as barbecue? Fun drinks, that's what. He found a place to go to which is different from the norm, which happened to be this coffee place. Did I feel weird walking in here wearing a hijab in all my non-whiteness? Kind of! Did I also walk in with a giant rainbow umbrella and a toddler to a coffee shop? Definitely! Was it raining outside? Yep, but no one asked so I didn't tell. (See what I did there?) I loved the military theme because I grew up watching reruns of M*A*S*H. It wasn't Hawkeye who took our order, but a man who, by all other descriptions, could be intimidating to a normal person with his large tattoos and even larger muscles. I don't like to comment on people's physical appearance, but this is a compliment and more than that--he was totally on theme with this establishment. And if there's one thing I love, it's dedication to a theme. They have a little gift shop inside with clothes and coffee cups, and I had not seen prior to coming in that this place was not a single small local coffee place, but multiple locations. I think with they could be the buccees of coffee shops. I did not look up this place much before we went in, which is not the norm for me, but I didn't see that they had something with blackberry and I wanted to come in and get something with that. I told someone at the register that I saw something with blackberry online and want whatever it is. They said that they have a blackberry syrup and the woman said that she would be able to put black berry syrup in lemonade for me, which was fantastic. She used Simply Lemonade, which, is great, and something I buy often, but I was hoping they would have their own fresh made Lemonade. If they don't have fresh lemons, and don't want to start making fresh lemonade, I would suggest to also have the option of diet simply lemonade just to have that sugar free option. Just a bit of constructive criticism. Muscle man brought us out a warmed chocolate chip cookie that we ordered for our toddler, and gave it on the house which was very kind of them. I tried my girls cookie and it was literally the most perfect cookie. Beautiful, picturesque, warm, with crunchy edges and a chewy middle. I wanted to buy a dozen cookies on the spot, but controlled myself, and vowed to come back in the future-- for the cookies, and to try their coffees when I'm not already caffeinated up. I love that they have their own coffee bags available to purchase. I will be back, BRCC, I will be back.

On the hunt for a good cup of Jo, have our sights set on Black Rifle. (Ok, that's it for the gun-related puns. ) On the corner of two busy streets, there's no line inside on a brisk Saturday afternoon and we placed our order: Looking for a small decaf flat white with heavy cream. First set came out relatively quickly- I always double check with the barista "Decaf and heavy cream?" Nope. "Decaf and whole milk. My bad, let me remake it." First sip feelings totally hit the mark. (Ok, THAT was the last pun) It's a very coffee forward and caramel flavored cup. Hubs says "their coffee really stands up to the cream; that I like." And I agree. Good cup, quick service. This place is really high caliber. (Ok, NOW I'm done!)

The customer service is good here. This location is clean and well maintained. A great spot for business meetings and gatherings.

Not your topical coffee shop. More of a chill place to enjoy your coffee. The food is good and service is perfect.

Oh my, I'm still in the parking lot, and I can tell you now how much I love their mocha coffee. Not to mention how soft and chewy the chocolate chip cookie is. There's a lot of deliciousness and gooey chips going on in this cookie. I can't leave Lulu's review out; she adored her bon appétit pupcup, and she especially enjoyed the lovely lady at the window taking our order. The next time we come, we will sit on the patio; it's really nice and has a great view of people coming and going.

Finally tried Black Rifle coffee! I did enjoy my salted caramel latte - very strong coffee but the drink was delicious! I enjoyed the flavor overall, however it got really salty towards the end when it cooled down and I was almost finished. I'll definitely be trying another drink from here though and maybe do a half calf next time ;)

Given that weve had to give up so much in the coffee drinking experience we try and get what we do consume to taste as fresh as possible so weve turned to getting our decaf beans roasted locally. Weve tried a couple of places in Houston and just recently came across District Coffee. Once we checked their website and made sure it was swiss water processed and not bathed in paint stripper chemicals we decided to give them a try... the head roaster Alex is a humble guy who has a family operated business near the 249/Cypress area. I drove out to the District headquarters to pick up a pound of decaf and Alex gave me a tour around the facility which was modest, but professional. Before i left, Alex asked about the reason for decaf and i explained that we mix it with regular to create a half caff blend and with that he walked over to a bin in the shop and pulled out an additional bag of whole bean half caff blend of their signature roast and said it was "on the house" since i had come all the way out from the Sugar Land area. Wow. Now that was unexpected and also very nice considering gas costs near four bucks these days. We just had a pour over cup of that this morning and it was very, very smooth. If the regular whole bean decaf is anywhere close to the smoothness of this signature half caff roast we will most likely add District coffee to our regular rotation of coffees for our morning routine. Thanks Alex. Good luck to you and your family and we'll spread the word about your brand. Take care.

When I stopped by on a weekday evening at 9pm it was packed. They had stations setup throughout the store to order different goods, which helped to alleviate the rush. Knafeh ($6) - They offered 2 types of knafeh, one with cheese and one with custard. I went with the one made with Nabulsi cheese and topped with shredded phyllo, and soaked in sugar syrup. It was warm, crispy and delicious! Karak tea ($5) - This milk tea drink was made with aromatic spices, primarily cardamom, cloves, ginger and cloves. I was happy to see they used whole milk instead of evaporated milk. The drink was incredibly rich and creamy and tasted great. Turkish delight ($18 / lb.) - This was extremely fresh, soft and chewy, made with cornstarch, sugar, nuts. Some of the varieties I tried had chocolate and/or fruits. The baklava here was fresh made with layers of phyllo dough, chopped nuts, and held together with some honey. The nut offerings here included, almonds, walnuts, peanuts and a few more. Overall I was impressed with everything they offered here with the exception of the nuts, which I thought were just ok. I'd definitely return if I was in the area.

For example, with the Turkish delights and ice cream selections, only a few items are labeled. For most of them, you have to guess the flavor or ingredients. When I asked questions, there was a language barrier, and the staff member behind the counter was unable to clearly explain what the items were in English. This can be especially frustrating for customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions. In the U.S., I would expect all flavors and ingredients to be clearly labeled so customers can make informed choices. Even if staff members are not fluent in English, having accurate labels for flavors and ingredients would greatly improve the customer experience. The desserts themselves are excellent, but better product labeling would make the experience much more enjoyable and accessible for everyone.

However, it is obvious that the person that started Barbarossa has a great vision, and we have been going since they were just about to open their second shop. The owner provides above average products yet sadly it is almost always ruined by the incompetence of the hired staff. So I will be sharing my experience today, as well as the pattern of the most baffling interactions I have had over the last year. Today, my partner ordered the breakfast bagel (this comes with avocado), I ordered a croissant with only eggs over hard (this doesn't come with avocado according to their menu). Also it is necessary to ask for eggs over hard otherwise the egg whites will be oozing off your croissant. And I mean this with full disrespect because while cooking is a skill that requires development. How. On. Earth. Do you serve someone a raw egg? It is clearly visible, you don't need a food thermometer, it might literally be the simplest thing to cook. You can practice at home for next to nothing! When you ask for eggs for hard here, they will be close to over medium if you're lucky. Today, since they put avocado on my partners bagel I guess they decided to just add it to mine because why not? Well why not is because it's not on the menu, and I did not ask for it and I'm paying for the item I asked for. Not your random remix. Additionally, every time I order, I make sure to specify I want my matcha UNSWEET. Every time they say "ma'am it doesn't come with sweetner" and I hold my tongue because I know well enough if I don't say that, they add SWEETNER. And since my husband ordered this morning and didn't say unsweet, my Matcha ended up sweet. Once? Fine. Twice? Everyone makes mistakes. It's a drink idc. But every single time unless the customer specifies? Are these people being trained? Do they have the capacity to be trained? And sure you might be thinking wow that's harsh. So I shall share a previous experience. I wanted to purchase a lanyard, we all know a lanyard is about 20 inches long right? Well I asked to buy a lanyard in the drive thru, I was told they didn't sell lanyards, not that they were out of stock. No according to this employee they don't sell them, never have. Mind you I had just seen it in the store a few days earlier. I'm not one to argue so I acted as if it were my mistake. A few days later I stopped inside to see if they had any left in store. They had several, I took it to the register and asked to purchase the lanyard. She said "you mean our dog leashes!" ........... I thought she was pulling a little joke. She wasn't. I'm sorry have you seen someone walk a dog? Have you ever seen a dog leash shorter than 2 feet? Have you ever seen a dog? She genuinely begins to argue with me because she can't find the button for dog leashes in the system. (DUH girl! Because the company you work at doesn't sell dog leashes. How do I know that and you don't?) The manager walked over and chose the LANYARD button to which this young lady says snarkily "oh I guess it is a lanyard". The manager looked bewildered at her and I thought surely he will now realize how lacking his staff is. However that wasn't the case. So I beg. Please train them. Fire them. Replace them with robots please. I don't care. I'm even happy to give them gentle instruction on how to do their job if you'll at least teach them not to talk back. Don't assume they know what a lanyard, or a croissant, or a cup is because it just might be to the failure of your company. Bonus: a lot of these kids seem to not know that the source of sugar is what they call "flavoring" :) If I don't want sugar, it feels like common sense that I don't want vanilla with sugar in it? Sincerely written as a person that supports smaller coffee shops in hopes that they succeed over chains.
