Just the best! Don't…read morejust think about going here, go here! I've been in and out of here since 1996. Always wonderful smells and delicious donuts. Nikki is a fantastic donut maker, ask her, her story and you'll realize that she just took up this art in 2015 to keep the lights on and the family business going. Wonderful shop and proprietor. Funny thing. Though I've been going here since 1996. Both Nikki and I realized we didn't know each other's names until last week, when stopping in for some donuts and coffee I said "you know it's funny, I've been coming in here for over 28 years, as long as I've been married. You've watched my son grow up and given him donut holes for 20 years. We've talked about your son Dino, your husband and my wife but I just realized that we've never introduced ourselves to each other." She said "come on, we know each other". I said we do but we don't know each other's name. We looked at each other, she said "Really ? You're right, we don't, oh my gawd!!" We laughed, introduced ourselves for the first time. I picked up some wonderful artisan donuts (because they're more than just donuts) and said "See you soon" Great smells, great person, wonderful donuts. Make sure you go out of your way for these!

If you're a donut lover, Glazed and Confused is worth the stop…read more We had a great experience here. My fiancé and son were even gifted two donuts by the kind woman behind the counter after my son excitedly shared he'd been helping clean up downtown for Earth Day. Such a thoughtful gesture!!! They loved the cinnamon bun and cereal killer donuts. The shop was clean and very busy, but service was quick and efficient. There are a few seats if you want to eat there, although it's more of a grab and go spot. Parking is street parking and can be tricky at times. They do offer a few gluten-free options, but nothing dairy-free. Overall, great donuts and genuinely kind service--we'd definitely return!

I'm generally not an "over the top" donut and dessert person, but I do love to check out donut…read moreshops to see if all the hype and "extra" is worth it. Definitely is in this case! The staff was nice and even wrote a nice thank you note on my to go box. Inviting little nook of Syracuse, and happy to have a chance to order a couple of donuts that were all pretty tasty. Only "complaint" was that I seemed to receive the runts of the donuts, but we also did not need three humongous donuts for two people, and ordered very close to closing, so that's on us! And even being smaller donuts, they were not "small" or lacking in flavor, only small compared to some other donuts/flavors still available. Can't wait to come back and try more- surprisingly the buckeye was the favorite despite me not loving an abundance of toppings usually. Not crazy sweet and lots of flavor!

Always looking for a local coffee shop, this place stubbled upon my radar. I'm glad it did!…read more The moment I walked in, I knew this was the right place. They had just opened and already there were people from every walk of life laughing and talking to the staff with enthusiasm that is hard to find at that hour. The donuts were to die for, the breakfast sandwich was better than any fast food hands down, and the coffee was piping hot. All of this nestled in a somewhat awkward spot right off the main highway/ road is a true hidden gem.

I've been here a couple times now... and while the donuts are good, I'm hard-pressed to believe…read morethat they're the best donuts anyone's ever had. Like, they're donuts. They're fine. But I don't think there's anything especially unique about them. Maybe it's just me. I don't really have a huge sweet tooth, so it takes something really amazing to impress me when it comes to pastries and the like. The cafe itself though didn't really do it for me either - it felt incredibly dated, like I'd teleported back to the 1980's. Typically, I'd even think that was charming... but I didn't feel the charm in this cafe either. Tattered bar stools and a couple booths were available for seating. Besides my friend and I going together for my most recent visit, there was only a family of 4 ordering some donuts... but otherwise, the place was empty. Even then, service felt a bit disorganized. The two employees switched back and forth between who they were paying attention to, and even then the employee who ended up coming to the counter didn't remember what the order was she had just filled. Ultimately, I think Ridge Donut Cafe probably caters more to the folks who grew up in the area and have some nostalgia for it than anything else. As a newer customer, I've tried it a couple times and always walked away thinking it was just okay. Will I visit again? Probably not... I've done my due diligence in trying this cafe, and I just don't have those memories / that nostalgia for it that locals do.
