He spent 12 years in the casino Industry, then in 2014, started his first juice bar/acai bowl business Pure Raw Juice while living in Baltimore in 2014. He started two other restaurants in Delaware called Daily Veg before moving back top CNY and starting Whacko Gringo as a take out only restaurant serving out of a trailer. Whacko Gringo serves Mexican fair with a twist and acai bowls, and now has a full storefront which includes outdoor seating. Wife and I had passed by Whacko Gringo several times when they were in the trailer. We had always wanted to try it, the menu looked interesting and tasty, but it just didn't work out for one reason or another. They eventually got their storefront and we decided one day we were going to get out there and try them. We walked in pretty early on a Saturday, no one else in the restaurant. Just a couple small tables inside and a couple outside. I ordered the chimichurri beef tacos with rice and black beans, and my wife ordered a burrito bowl and a side of fresh pico and chips. Food seemed to take a while to be made, but it seemed like there were only 2 employees there. Employees were fine for the most part, but pretty indifferent to us being there. When we did get it, we were definitely disappointed. The meat in my tacos had good flavor, but other than that, everything was extremely bland, and my wife felt the same about hers. The pickled veggies, rice, beans, pico had no flavor, we mostly loaded them with hot sauce for some flavor. No salt on the chips, just a disappointing meal.
