It took 30 minutes to get a bagel. This place is the absolute worst. Do not come here if you don't have to

I love cannoli's in general, but let's face it the worst part is the hard shell, well Sweet Ally's takes care of that for you, putting it inside a delicious donut! Reasonable pricing too! I may or may not be a little obsessed but they are so good! For weeks I keep meaning to take a picture, but I never remember before devouring them! They only make them on Sundays, but if it is a different day, stop by and enjoy their other selection of donuts, baked goods and candy. This time of year is the perfect time to visit, as right behind them Oakfield has a wonderful Christmas light up Wonderland, and across the street they have 100 decorated Christmas trees! Make it a day trip out to Sweet Ally's you won't be disappointed!

If you can get past the bad service, I'd recommend the apple fritters, they were good. Also the chocolate frosting with white cream was good and worth the calories. Just don't call it "Angel cream" or the owner will remind you that "only Paula's calls it that."

Puts a smile on everyone's face, I promise you! Paula's donuts are much larger than most places in town. So large, they look heavy. You don't even need to eat a whole one to reach your maximum sugar intake for the day but dang, they sure are deeeeelicious! I always pickup a honey glazed donut. If that was the only donut available in the world, I would be totally happy with that and never complain. It's perfection. Thick, fluffy, soft, sugary goodness. Go home, mic it for 10 secs and eat slowly with a tall glass of cold milk. Paula's has donut holes, a variety of donuts, the best Bavarian Crème donut, I've ever had in my life, they have some pastries, bagels, breakfast/lunch sandwiches (which I do very much enjoy) and coffee! They also have a HUGE donut that I've ordered for birthdays and the Super Bowl, you create it the way you want, put on a cute plate and serve (no one will miss the cake/cupcakes). This location has ample parking, a decent size seating/dining area, well lit with plenty of sunlight coming through the windows so you can sit and contemplate why you're eating so many donuts and how to lose weight. Oh, and the staff is great! They keep things moving efficiently here.

But I don't think there's anything especially unique about them. Maybe it's just me. I don't really have a huge sweet tooth, so it takes something really amazing to impress me when it comes to pastries and the like. The cafe itself though didn't really do it for me either - it felt incredibly dated, like I'd teleported back to the 1980's. Typically, I'd even think that was charming... but I didn't feel the charm in this cafe either. Tattered bar stools and a couple booths were available for seating. Besides my friend and I going together for my most recent visit, there was only a family of 4 ordering some donuts... but otherwise, the place was empty. Even then, service felt a bit disorganized. The two employees switched back and forth between who they were paying attention to, and even then the employee who ended up coming to the counter didn't remember what the order was she had just filled. Ultimately, I think Ridge Donut Cafe probably caters more to the folks who grew up in the area and have some nostalgia for it than anything else. As a newer customer, I've tried it a couple times and always walked away thinking it was just okay. Will I visit again? Probably not... I've done my due diligence in trying this cafe, and I just don't have those memories / that nostalgia for it that locals do.

I remember biting into a crispy on the outside but also fluffy Apple cider donut which really hit the spot. I stopped by at Duke's Donuts today at the NT Farmer's Market. For $10, you get 13 donuts which is a steal! The Apple Cider donuts were as amazing as I remembered them to be! Hands down, one of the best Apple Cider donuts I've had. They had a nice apple flavor to it and weren't overly sweet like other ones I've had. I also had the original sugared donuts. This was my first time having one of them. I really like how fluffy they were but they tasted a little boring and didn't have much flavor to them. Overall, I'm a huge fan of Duke's Donuts. It's a nice little comforting treat to have on a cold day!

They were that good and on our minds after our initial visit. Both times we visited the location was busy and we had to wait in a small line. Service is very efficient and they take care of you quickly once you're at the counter. All of the donuts we ordered were perfect. One of the kids got a limited edition burger donut with proceeds being donated to the local Ronald McDonald house. It was a very inventive donut with glazed donuts as the burger buns, half a chocolate glazed as the burger patty, and different creams making up the cheese and condiments. So unique and for a good cause! Indoor seating is available which we took advantage of, as we could not wait to enjoy our donuts. I wish we lived close by as we would be regulars. I feel the donuts are fairly priced for the quality. Expect to pay more than your local Dunkin or Tim Hortons, but you can also expect the quality is way better. Fresh homemade donuts can't be beat.

Paula's Donuts helped heal me after surgery - seriously. But first, a few words about the best…read moredonuts in the United States. I feel confident that statement is true. These are not featherweight, boring, drive thru chain donuts that never fail to disappoint. The box says they are "made with love" and while I certainly hope the bakers and makers are not oozing affection for the creations as they do their job (because that would get weird right?), the recipes and standards of ultra high quality that this unique WNY establishment has sure shows a respect and appreciation for their customers. The dough is light and never greasy tasting. The cream fillings are also fluffy and airy and melt in your mouth. Jellies are all top notch and let me be clear, the donuts are packed full with whatever is inside. Or on top. The headlights are incredible. Peanut butter offerings (several to choose from) are stellar. I'm not sure if the chocolate icing is a ganache but it seems much more like a ganache than the lousy, dried out icing you might find at places we need not mention. Staff are always courteous, polite and fast. I think each donut is going for about $2.30 but well worth it for the size and quality. A box of 3 is heavy to hold. You get a lot of donut for your buck. I've been on a Paula's kick for a couple months, stopping in when appropriate for my donut desires but trying to be mindful of my waistline. I like to sit down and really enjoy every bite. These are not ordinary donuts, they are an experience to savor. But how do Paula's donuts help one recover from surgery? It's about what you might do with them. My friend picked me up and brought me home after the hospital and slyly produced a bag of donuts for me, which I sat down and ate the minute I walked in the door. The unexpected gesture of something I've been enjoying a lot lately certainly took my mind off any discomfort. Nice friend, right? Part of recovery is having supportive friends and family and I'm glad I've got that. And I'm glad I also got a bag of donuts to make a "rough day" a lot better. So, Paula's people - I haven't tried them all yet so I guess I'm going to have to return. (Image is different donuts from a different day.)
