My wife and I stopped in to this location at 20 main st in Batavia ny , and although they were very nice and friendly, and my lunch was very good , I found the restaurant to be filthy. The tables looked like they had not been cleaned in a month, the windows and sills were really bad , there were doughnuts laying on the floor in front of the trays in the cabinet. Tim Hortons on Lewiston Road in Batavia never has any cream filled donuts. I asked if they had a raspberry jelly filled and the girl said "No we have strawberry - it's the same thing because there's jelly in it." It would have been a shorter conversation to just ask what donuts they actually had there. I had to repeat myself no less than six times when speaking to her and asking questions. It's Tim's, what more needs to be said? Best coffee in New York (heck, one of my favorites from anywhere.) The drive thru line was jammed, which made no sense to me at that time of day, but it was long enough to convince me to go inside. The help is behind polycarbonate shields, like most places these days. We ordered a coffee and chai latte. It took awhile to get the tea. Okay, the chai late wasn't what we expected it to be but then, this is a place that specializes in coffee. The coffee was fine and the tea was passible. This location used to be reliable and well worth the morning drive through breakfast visit on the way to work. Not so much any more. In a month they have yet to get my coffee order right, I've got served a chicken wrap with no chicken in it, Two breakfast sandwich English muffins served burned black with ice cold egg and meat, they are ALWAYS out of donuts and the drive through is touch and go service wise. I ordered a box of coffee and a dozen doughnuts for a road crew who have been working on water lines on my road for months. Today was cold and rainy but they were working. So I went to Tim Hortons. I think it may have been the manager who served me at the drive through, and he was extremely nice. A friend of mine who is an escort, asked me to see how long she took to get to Nova Scotia. In otherwords, I had to Time a Hor to NS. I happily obliged, as I often do to whatever she requests. Thankfully that has nothing to do with this little coffee shop in Batavia, which is the only city in NY named after a flying bat (bat aviation). I originally was going to give this Hortons a 1/5 for being exceptionally busy, insanely slow, and providing us with lukewarm coffee that wasn't milky enough. However on two subsequent trips it's been a little faster and a lot better in terms of hot, perfect 4 & 4 coffee, so I will cave in and give them a healthy three. As in one, two, three, everybody loves... uh. In seriousness though, it's great that Batavia has this Canadian influence, eh. Otherwise it'd just be Starbucks and 7-11 coffee, and who wants that. Good food, awful customer service. I used the drive thru this morning with my family to get a quick breakfast while on the road. Yes, the food was good but it's hard to mess up considering it's just heated in the oven and assembled how you like. The workers were not friendly or helpful whatsoever. I recently worked at a Tim Hortons in a different part of the state so I know that the drive thru time is important, however that does not excuse being rude to customers. They didn't even say "have a good day" or "you're all set" after handing us our order. I had to check the bag to see if we were waiting on something else or if we were given everything because the worker just walked away from the window. So I have to first say that it pains me to give Tim a 2-star rating cause, while I'm not a huge fan of chains, Tim Hortons is one of my favs. I walked in the front door with the anticipation of getting some ice cream. I hadn't been to one of the stores that partners with Cold Stone Creamery yet and was excited for my favorite concoction. I stood in front of the Ice Cream case, cause that's what you do when ordering Cold Stone. Just as I walked in one of the 3 Hortonites was walking to the back room but saw me as she passed by. I didn't feel though, as if I was being ignored because certainly one of the other two girls would soon be over to build me an ice cream experience I would never forget. Another customer walked in behind me and stepped up to the register and waited.....and waited......and waited. It seems that the conversation the remaining pair of hortonites was having was much more important than waiting on their customers. And while I did find out that one of them was the night manager, of the two, she never even bothered to look over and acknowledge the two customers on the other side of the counter. I guess somebody did something to someone and she felt the need to complain about it loud enough for everyone to feel a bit uncomfortable. Drama in Timmy-World. Finally the first girl returned from the back room and waited on the customer that was standing at the register; remember he came in behind me. OK.. so that pissed me off a little but I know what a process Cold Stone can be so I let it go hoping that the guy was only getting coffee... which he did. At the end of the day, I got a wonderful bowl of Creamy goodness but a poor experience. So Kim, The girls, Mr Ron and I stopped at Tim Horton's in Batavia the one between the post office and Wendy's...The girls are a little rambunctious so im following them back and forth from table to the line as Kim and Mr Ron waited and got the order for us....while in line the woman in front of them ordered and it was clear that English wasnt her first language but she did her best to say her order clearly..and this nasty miserable woman behind the counter named Amy had the nerve to say loud enough for not only the customer speaking to hear but everyone else in line "I really hope the next customers have learned to speak english" ...Naturally Kim spoke up calling Amy out on how rude the comment was and how unnecessary and offensive it was...did Tim Hortons Amy apologize ...Nope...instead tried to justify it with a "not my fault I couldnt understand what she was saying" in the same snotty and rude tone she made the initial comment...truly disgusting .....so Amy you wanted to be heard now all of Facebook has heard you... This Tim Horton's used to be clean. Recently I went through the drive through and an employee was throwing up behind the building. I went in the restaurant yesterday and upon parking there were 2 employees in the car next to me sleeping- nothing necessarily wrong with this but just weird. The outside of the restaurant is dirty. Upon entering there were several (6-7) employees behind the counter One was shouting orders, one was coughing while preparing food, and overall it just seemed like chaos. The restaurant was dirty with flies and garbage everywhere. I'm not sure if this location is under different management but I will not eat here read more
