The atmosphere is exactly what you hope for in a local coffee shop--loved the aesthetic, the crowd was friendly, and having the lounge area next door is a fantastic touch. The drinks themselves? Delicious. The person at the register clearly knows how to pull a great shot and make a beautiful beverage. However, we had a really odd interaction while ordering. Without any prompting from us, the barista launched into a strange, unsolicited lecture about whether a Café Mocha is Italian or American, speaking to us as if we had never had coffee outside of the U.S. It was especially baffling given that we've visited Italy numerous times. We didn't ask for the history lesson, and being talked down to for no reason definitely left a sour note on an otherwise lovely visit. The bottom line: Absolutely come here for the cozy space and the high-quality drinks. Just hope the person at the register decides to skip the coffee trivia and just make the amazing drinks they clearly know how to make.

I don't normally like to do this but it has to be said. Your Broadway location has a total nightmare ambiance. It is so hostile and unfriendly, especially if you are a man. Yes it's a man hating environment going on in that location. The Red headed "manager" is the leader of the pack. Both of my recent visits have proven that I won't ever step foot in there again. Again, the red head visibly showed aggression towards me because I ordered all of what they had left of their jelly filled tidbits. First she got beet red in the face, rolled her eyes, muddered something unpleasant, and then literally slammed the two boxes onto the countertop. She clearly was pissed off and wanted me to know. So rude and unprofessional. She has ZERO business being in customer service as she is a miserable person. The owner is supposedly a Christian, which is very questionable considering the strong lesbian scene going on with his employees in that store. I don't have issues with anyone who is gay or lesbian per say, but when they are supposed to provide quality customer service that is replaced again with a man hating attitude, it will make you speak up when treated this poorly! I hope that nasty woman loses her job to be honest. She should be doing factory work, where she can be what she wants and hates who she wants, as it won't effect the perception of the business, since she has no contact with the customers. read more

So, we have now learned our lesson with this place twice. Not sure what it is about the culture there that results in such bad service years apart and by different people. We won't be returning.
