The atmosphere is exactly what you hope for in a local coffee shop--loved the aesthetic, the crowd was friendly, and having the lounge area next door is a fantastic touch. The drinks themselves? Delicious. The person at the register clearly knows how to pull a great shot and make a beautiful beverage. However, we had a really odd interaction while ordering. Without any prompting from us, the barista launched into a strange, unsolicited lecture about whether a Café Mocha is Italian or American, speaking to us as if we had never had coffee outside of the U.S. It was especially baffling given that we've visited Italy numerous times. We didn't ask for the history lesson, and being talked down to for no reason definitely left a sour note on an otherwise lovely visit.
