We were all hungry and decided to stop in for some lunch. They were pretty busy and we had a wait time of 15 minutes. No worries. We were shown our table and our server was super sweet and patient with us. I ordered the lobster roll with French fries. It was good. I was a bit put off by the lettuce in the roll. Hubby ordered the poutine but was a bit disappointed the cheese was shredded mozzarella instead of cheese curds. He still liked it. My MIL ordered chowder. She loved it. My son ordered the chicken tenders with French fries. He liked it. Everything was good. Food was adequate but the service was wonderful. Also, they have many desserts and baked goods at the front. However, I behaved myself and opted against them. Great service. Good food. We'll be back!

First time checking this out for breakfast. We had a toddler visiting (with his parents) who woke us up very early so this worked. Kid friendly spot. The food was what I would label as usual diner food. Good prices and hits the spot. We all shared the MASSIVE cinnamon roll which was warm and soft. Diet doesn't exist this early so I got the banana bread French toast and that really takes the French toast game up a notch. We'd come back.

We've eaten here twice so far this trip. Really good food at a decent price. We had Lillian wait on us tonight. She was engaging and friendly. Really added to the experience tonight.

Governor's is your standard diner but YO...YO YO YO...their cakes are INSANE. I had an omelet and it was delicious and the vegetables were super fresh and it was filled with ham. Get their cinnamon bread on the side. Also...that blueberry lemon cake. I'm going to dream about it the rest of my life. It was bigger than my face. Funny, the waitress asked if we wanted one slice or two. One slice can feed a small country for a year. No joke.

I went here last night for Takeout of a Lobster Roll and two pieces of blueberry pie. The staff were all pleasant and very helpful. We liked it so much that we went back today on the way to the airport for some sweet treats. We ordered a giant cinnamon roll for grandma, a few pumpkin chocolate chip cookies for mom and I, and a pumpkin whoopie pie which I highly recommend! Again this visit the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Next trip I would love to dine in here. You could tell it was well loved and enjoyed by the locals!

If you love baked goods, this is the place for you! They have giant cinnamon rolls the size of dinner plates. Giant rice krispie treats, peanut butter cups, moon pies, eclairs and more! Portions to dine in are huge! We couldn't eat it all. We took half the cinnamon roll and an eclair home. I had the eggs Benedict with a generous portion of ham and a fruit cup (more like a bowl) overflowing. He had sausage, eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. This place is for people with big appetites for carbs and meat. The service was friendly and prompt. Plenty of scenic murals of natural Maine on the walls. Place is spacious and well lit. If you just want baked goods, the bakery is right at the entrance. Will return next time we have a craving for carbs.

A cream puff the size of a toddler's head.

Best Breakfast in town! Order the Eggs Benedict and sub bacon. Trust me. You'll enjoy it.

I and the Mrs ordered seafood at Governors and it was overcooked and tasted of old cooking oil. Total waste of 70 bucks.

Very friendly waitstaff. Not impressed with the food. Very simple order of grilled home fries and English muffin, both items tasted old.

I love to go off the beaten path when traveling and am comfortable, for the most part, exploring…read morenew foods and venues. Being in Maine, I had to find the best blueberry pie and yelpers brought me here! As we pulled into the parking lot, it was clear that this place is a stop for truck drivers and locals looking for a solid meal, a place to stock up on supplies and clean up. Our waiter was a young gal that was delightful. It's hard to decide what to eat so I landed in the chicken pot pie with veggies and a biscuit. The pie was okay. Not was flavorful or deep as I had hoped. The biscuit was nice and light which I enjoyed with butter and honey. I had pre ordered my blueberry pie to ensure it was available for the trip back to California. The family loved it! I wish that we were offered the breakfast menu which is served all day because the blueberry French toast would have made a fine dessert . Instead I had the apple pie with a delicious dollop of fresh, thick whipped cream. Wow! I doubt that I'll ever be back this way but if life brings me back to Maine, I'm stopping here!

Continuing the Stephen King self guided tour of Bangor, we stopped here for a late lunch. Wow…read more So.much.food. The portions were enormous and enough for leftovers for late dinner. Got the hot Thanksgiving sandwich w cranberry sauce. The boys got burgers and a buffalo chicken Mac and cheese. And because a heart attack wasn't quite ensured yet - we got an order of poutine to share. Waitress was on top of everything and friendly even though it was a holiday weekend. Everyone insisted that blueberry pie was a Maine delicacy so got that to go. The truck stop portion of it with the attached store sells the equally famous whoopie pie that we also got to go. The sales clerk was super nice - offered to go find some in the back when we didn't see any up front. Given the amount of food the bill was very reasonable.
