Slowslowslow on drive in window lately. Maybe you need to hire more people. Now 1052am and have moved two spots in ten minutes.

Paula's Donuts helped heal me after surgery - seriously. But first, a few words about the best…read moredonuts in the United States. I feel confident that statement is true. These are not featherweight, boring, drive thru chain donuts that never fail to disappoint. The box says they are "made with love" and while I certainly hope the bakers and makers are not oozing affection for the creations as they do their job (because that would get weird right?), the recipes and standards of ultra high quality that this unique WNY establishment has sure shows a respect and appreciation for their customers. The dough is light and never greasy tasting. The cream fillings are also fluffy and airy and melt in your mouth. Jellies are all top notch and let me be clear, the donuts are packed full with whatever is inside. Or on top. The headlights are incredible. Peanut butter offerings (several to choose from) are stellar. I'm not sure if the chocolate icing is a ganache but it seems much more like a ganache than the lousy, dried out icing you might find at places we need not mention. Staff are always courteous, polite and fast. I think each donut is going for about $2.30 but well worth it for the size and quality. A box of 3 is heavy to hold. You get a lot of donut for your buck. I've been on a Paula's kick for a couple months, stopping in when appropriate for my donut desires but trying to be mindful of my waistline. I like to sit down and really enjoy every bite. These are not ordinary donuts, they are an experience to savor. But how do Paula's donuts help one recover from surgery? It's about what you might do with them. My friend picked me up and brought me home after the hospital and slyly produced a bag of donuts for me, which I sat down and ate the minute I walked in the door. The unexpected gesture of something I've been enjoying a lot lately certainly took my mind off any discomfort. Nice friend, right? Part of recovery is having supportive friends and family and I'm glad I've got that. And I'm glad I also got a bag of donuts to make a "rough day" a lot better. So, Paula's people - I haven't tried them all yet so I guess I'm going to have to return. (Image is different donuts from a different day.)

My husband ordered us breakfast from here this morning, and it was great! I tried the cookies and…read morecream ice cappuccino, and it had the perfect balance of flavors. The breakfast sandwich I chose was the bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. It was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing! The only thing I managed to get a picture of was the cannoli donut, and holy cannoli was it delicious! We did an online order and he had to wait a bit to get everything because they were so busy, but it wasn't a bad wait at all!

If it is a Sunday, stop what you are doing, and stop by Sweet Ally's for one of their cannoli…read moredonuts!!! I love cannoli's in general, but let's face it the worst part is the hard shell, well Sweet Ally's takes care of that for you, putting it inside a delicious donut! Reasonable pricing too! I may or may not be a little obsessed but they are so good! For weeks I keep meaning to take a picture, but I never remember before devouring them! They only make them on Sundays, but if it is a different day, stop by and enjoy their other selection of donuts, baked goods and candy. This time of year is the perfect time to visit, as right behind them Oakfield has a wonderful Christmas light up Wonderland, and across the street they have 100 decorated Christmas trees! Make it a day trip out to Sweet Ally's you won't be disappointed!

If you can get past the bad service, I'd recommend the apple fritters, they were good. Also the chocolate frosting with white cream was good and worth the calories. Just don't call it "Angel cream" or the owner will remind you that "only Paula's calls it that."

They got started at the erie county fair and have expanded since and I am so excited they are! I ordered a dozen donuts a few months ago and they were outstanding. I wish I would have gotten them on peanut donut day, as they only do those every other time for nut allergies. Boston cream was my favorite. When you order from the food truck, it is pre order at most places and you choose a time. Make sure you show up on time. If you show up before, you will wait. The first time I ordered hot bbq chicken fingers and a cheese pizza. Outstanding. The fingers were like gluten riddled fingers. Delicious! And the breading didn't fall off. The cheese pizza is like a Detroit style. It is so so good. The second time I ordered i got fries, which are fresh cut wonderfully seasoned fries, and the cheese pizza. I cant wait to try more flavors of pizza. This is a great place!

They recently opened a store front to sell their donuts and will be expanding to sell more. Check them out on Facebook for announcements of where they will be with their food truck and when they have pre-orders. So far, my mom has had both their fried dough and donuts. Loved them! And the donuts aren't just plain frycakes. She's had a the peanut stick (my favorite), blueberry cake, vanilla cream, and jpowdered jelly. Since they are gf, they are a bit more dense; however, the flavor and resemblance to a Paula's donut is astounding. Can't wait to see more from the Silly Yak. What's up next? I hear Detroit style pizza, scratch-made chicken fingers, and giant chocolate chip cookies!
