Love this Tilly's!! I wanted to give it a try since it is close to the Del Amo location. The store was huge and had more styles of clothing than the other locations I have been to. The store manager was super sweet and attentive; she helped me with a fitting room. The cash register associates were super sweet and genuine. A young man helped us out and was very patient as we found a new bag. The prices were reasonable, and I will definitely remember this experience. read more

Tilly's in Torrance is a great shop for clothes. We visited today, 8/31/24 as we saw they were having an BOGO which is a really great deal. Tilly's is NOT cheap so when they have these kinds of deals, you better take advantage of it. Found shorts for my daughter which were awesome deals! They were on sale for $27.99 and you get one free? Who wouldn't buy that deal? The service was also good. The cashier was friendly, interactive and approachable. The store is large and carries many items. They have everything for women, men and children. Highly recommend. They are in Torrance in a big plaza which has plenty of parking. read more

Today I went into Tillys with my boyfriend on a casual Friday night at 7:00 pM just to look around before they close and when I first walked in, I was greeted which was nice but few seconds later it looked like a supervisor or manager because I do myself work at a retail store. I can tell. I was maybe three minutes in walking in and three of the workers were following me. One had glasses with puffy brown hair. The other had mid long black hair. And other maybe Asian gal she was staring at me like if I was going to steal.. mind you I've been going to this tillys for years... it's just a shame to assume and follow people that have no intention of stealing. This is insane. I do not feel comfortable to shop at this Tillys anymore, they lost a loyal customer. Maybe this is some type of racial discrimination because I am myself a Mexican girl with long black hair and bodies tea.. maybe they're not used to seeing a girl like me to shop at Tillys but what happened to me was rude. I think I'm done shopping here. The latest was trying to return a pair of defective Vans sneakers. The shoes had a sharp point on the inside, and caused my daughter's ankle to bleed after the first day of wearing them. I had a feeling that they would be difficult at the store, so I called their customer support line beforehand, explained the situation, and received a return authorization number. The store employees on the other hand, tried to deny the return. The manager got involved and accepted the return for store credit. Not a huge deal, but with so many options to choose from in the future, I think I will shop at places were the employees are more pleasant, and the customer service is better. read more

Went to return the 2nd part of my shipment for the same and was denied by a blonde curly haired chick who claimed to be the manager. Said it couldn't be done. Ho I just did it a week prior! Tilly's in Rolling Hills has the best customer service. I've gone in over the years to buy things for myself and my teens. The sales people are always helpful, nice but not pushy. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is I wish they had a larger selection of brands for boys/men, especially in jeans/pants. I would like to start by saying, if you take a look at my reviews, I am one to leave positive reviews. So to leave a one-star is out of my nature. I've been a shopper of this Tillys for years and always experienced great service. But yesterday was an experience. As usual, myself and my friend were greeted with kindness by an amazing young lady named Kay, she was a ball of joy and so kind. Unfortunately while standing in line a manager approached one of the employees and was extremely rude and belittling toward her. We were embarrassed for her. That was strike one. Strike two came about when our cashier by the name Cylina (who was so sweet and kind) needed assistance from a manager named BRAULIO. When coming to assist he already had a face of annoyance and disgust. Strike three was the way he handled the situation. He spoke down to us and was extremely condescending. He rolled his eyes and made faces as if he was higher than anyone and everyone. He slammed hangers and tossed clothes around. He walked away with a tantrum. Background of myself. I've managed many facilities and even worked in human resources. If any of my employees acted the way he did towards any of their coworkers or even to customers I would have to skip the steps of reprimanding and straight to termination because he would not be an asset to the company nor holding the standards that tillys carries. Now the saving grace would be Kay and Cylina. I do not want to not let them go unnoticed. They showed kindness and professionalism. Kay, the other manager approached us and apologized for the situation like a true manager. I will continue to shop there. I will not let this situation stop me from entering the store that I love. But I will not be disrespected or watch individuals be disrespected either. I will be contacting the store manager Griselda to express my concerns and experience. Took the kids here for a quick shop. The store staff was wonderful. Really helped out and just seemed happy to be working here. The store had a good selection. The best part was they had a nice selection of 50 percent items , now it was like 90 degrees but got a Volcom jacket for the winter for 30 bucks. Nice environment and sometimes the parking is rough , but as for the store and staff , 5 stars all the way ! read more

Came to Tilly's today and had a great experience. I was going to go to the Del Amo Mall to get some shirts but there was absolutely no parking and it looked like a nightmare. I instantly thought of Tilly's as a back up. The employees were friendly and helpful. They had a sale on shirts, 2 for $30. I walked out with 4 shirts for $64. Very cool. This particular location is BIG, so if you are looking for skate, surf, or alternative sports clothing, this is a good location, huge inventory. They always have plenty of associates working the floor, so kudos for their customer service. I was lucky enough to be helped by co-manager Claudia. This place is really hit or miss. People on the floor are pretty helpful (If you can find anyone), but my problem is with the cashiers the past two times I went here. I went before Christmas to get a few things for my son. There was a promotion that if you spend over $75, you get a $10 reward card. I've used this promotion before. After my transaction, I got a physical card that I was able to use through a certain date after my purchase. I was expecting this time to be the same thing. I went to check out and the cashier had no idea what he was doing. There was a promotion on shirts -- Two for $30. One of the shirts I chose came up to $11... That's not "two for $30". He didn't understand what I was saying when I was trying to explain it. I went to grab another shirt so I would get the promotion and I wanted the $11 shirt as well. I think I just confused him to much by what seemed to be a really easy transaction to understand... plus he kept answering the phone in the middle of the transaction and had to start over. After it was all said and done, I asked for my $10 card since I spent over a certain amount. He said that it would come to me by email. Right. To my surprise, I did get that email containing the $10 reward card. Horray! So I went to Tilly's again during the promotional time that I was able to use my reward card. Found a few things (totaling about $20) and I went to check out. I showed the cashier my card and she said that I had to spend a minimum of $30. She didn't even attempt to scan the card. Nothing on the email said that. She just insisted that I had to spend a minimum amount. Whatever. I made my purchase and left without using my card. When I got home, I looked at the email again. It still said nothing about there having to be a minimum purchase. I went to the online store and put $10 of things in my cart. I was able to use my card. Wtf. So I made an online purchase of like $12, used the stupid reward card and went on my merry way. Bottom line: Train your cashiers..Train them in current promotions and simple math. You'll have a lot more happy customers. read more

Their floor service can be a little lacking on a Saturday afternoon. We headed in on a rainy day and they were still pretty busy. I was a little disappointed by their lack of boots in my size. My daughter needed to spend a gift card that she had received for her birthday but I am not sure that I'd come back too often. I have been coming to this location for over 10 years and receive consistent "okay" service. Today, however, my friend and I were being assisted by Jorge and he went above and beyond trying to help us find a specific backpack. He went through what must have been a hundred backpacks on the wall. I also appreciated he wasn't too proud to ask his coworkers for help! First, I'm a grumpy old man who never writes glowing reviews. But this Tilly's has the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have seen anywhere. Super friendly, helpful, patient manager & employees. I was looking for some Van's shoes on online clearance for my daughter. I first went the Del Amo mall store, who simply said no, try the PCH store. I came here with low expectations but the employees enthusiastically searched online and found me an even better price. Shoes were delivered to my house the next day. Bummer, too small, I ordered the wrong size. Went back to the store with my daughter, different employees, and just as helpful. They let her try on other shoes to verify fit, then quickly & painlessly did a swap and reordered the right size. They set the bar very high for customer service, even on this clearance item where they are losing money. I'm very impressed, I can't say enough about these wonderful people. When we checked out Miguel was on the register and looked super dapper and professional. He suggestively sold us these super awesome Polaroid watches and told us all about them which was super cool because we would have totally over looked them! Really overpriced for what it is, however, their sale rack is GREAT! Not a big Tillys shopper, but I've been here a coupla times since XMAS because of their sale prices. Tillys used to have trendy, quality clothing. I was very disappointed. After looking through all the racks, I managed to find a jacket I wanted. The only problem is that they on't have my size! The last three times I was rung up at the register, they asked me for the name of at least one person who assisted me. Every single time I've had to say "no one." And every single time the cashier had a pathetic speechless expression where their eyes go wide as if someone is going to be horribly penalized. The employees just stand around and hang out in groups talking to each other. If they are really as concerned on the quality of service they provide as the cashiers or, then they really need to get their act together and hire people with more social skills. read more

I went to this location on a mission to buy a new purse and wallet. It was during the week in the early afternoon and I stood at the front counter looking at the product and waited for someone to come help me....and waited....and waited....seriously? How is NO ONE at the cashiers? It came to the point that I walked out after 10 minutes without EVER being helped. I'm not going to ask someone to help me, because businesses need customers, I can easily go somewhere else. Typically, the associates on the sales floor are good about customer service but it's amazing how that changes when you get to the front desk. Ultimately, there are many other stores that sell the same products and I'm sure they will gladly take my money than let it walk out the door. I've been coming here since middle school and it wasn't until today that I've had a bad experience. I had just finished my workout at 24 hr fitness and decided to look around. As soon as I got there I felt people kept following me around looking at me from head to toe, so I thought maybe it's my tattoos but then I felt people right behind me cornering me as if I was gonna steal, not once did I get asked for help or anything. I get that employees should be alert of theft but I did absolutely nothing to give off that energy to anyone and it was the first time I've ever felt discrimination. So when I was buying my two items I let the lady know that it was wrong and they shouldn't do that to anyone and she said nothing. Sucks that that's kind of people you guys have working there to represent such a big company. We live in the southbay, there's a big Latino community and people have tattoos and we're good people. Just left the Tilly's in Torrance store and I am VERY unhappy. I was here to buy my 11 yr old son some Levis jeans. At checkout, the jeans rang up at $46.50. I asked why if the original Levi's tag stated $44.00? Confused, she called her store manager, Lauren, who came up to the register and said their price for the $44.00 Levi's jeans was $46.50. Usually really happy shopping there for my kids, but this time was not a great experience. We found a shorts and tank top set, hung together as a set on the sale rack. After trying it on, my daughter loved it! When we went to purchase it, they wouldn't sell it to us because they were mixed sizes. We went back to search for other sets in the sale rack, but it was the last one in the store. I offered to make it a final sale, they said no. I offered to buy it as separate pieces, they said no. They would rather not sell their last sale items to a customer, willing to pay for a set that they mixed up and won't be able to sell again than keep their customer happy. It is too bad the lowest rating is only one star! (See update below). Their Rolling Hiils California Store is absolutely useless and their answer when dealing with their rewards and "Moola" is "Oh you will have to call corporate." WTH? You mean to tell me you can't explain why I have spent hundreds and received nothing even though you can see the issue on my phone. They are sure pros in the "delegate up" style of managing. Their customer service online is even worse and when you try to call the corporate offices, well.... good luck with that. Tilley's is the absolutely worst run retail company I have ever dealt with. Employees in the Rollings Hills store are hit and miss. I wish I could remember their names, but there is a young Hispanic gal and a tall, thin African American young man who are awesome. Cheery and helpful. Others, rude and act like you are inconveniencing them by asking a question. Manager is useless. I have had numerous issues with them, but the worst was their rewards and "Moola" system. What a joke. I have spent hundreds in their stores and online and never once received rewards or alleged "Moola." The computer shows online that I have 24 points, customer service shows I have well over 137 and my receipts shows hundreds. Then they will tell you, "Oh yeah you do have they points and rewards but they won't come until April or September or..." whatever and they never come. For me it isn't about the $40 they should have sent me or given me in rewards credits by now, it is the principle of the thing and their incompetence. Hate them now and will look at Pac Sun, Zumiez, Macy's, Vans.com, Neff.com, etc to buy my teenage son's clothes. I have had it! Yay yelp for letting me vent. I feel better now. Update: I just got off the phone with Ericka (sp?) from Tilley's Customer Service which is located at the Corporate office. Ok, she rocks. She listened patiently and was super nice. I told her I could take a screen shot and send it to her. She admitted there was clearly an IT issue which no one else would. She also issued me my rewards and apologized for all the hassles I have gone through. She has restored my faith a bit. The RH Store Manager still deserves zero stars, but Ericka gets 5 stars so I will update the review to two and call it a day. read more
