The second time I was towed was because my registration tag was expire, but I had renewed it and had a temporary registration on my phone, but they said "it has to be printed and placed on your dash." Not sure how I was supposed to know that. When I called the cops they said it wasn't their problem. DTR REFUSED to reduce or waive the towing fee. Needless to say, I hate DTR, I hate the Wellington Community, and I hate the City of Manassas. All three entities are corrupt and full of rude, nasty, and ugly people. Glad I left.

The dispatcher didn't even bother to call me and tell me this. I stayed up late after working a 16 hour shift and definitely didn't want to stay up longer than necessary. I'm just glad I never called them to tow my vehicle when needed. They will never get my money.

Made an appointment today to have the tire fixed but needed it towed to the shop. With the snow and all I lucked out it wasn't busy. I requested a quote through Yelp and within minutes Walter was able to get back to me and squeeze me in. Within the hour he was out front and able to grab my car, my keys, and drop it off ahead of my appointment. I got a text receipt and a photo of the car at the drop off. It was quick, easy, and given the short distance it had to go, very affordable. I definitely recommend and will keep them in mind should the need arise.

He offered different options and followed me to the auto parts store to get my battery assessed and confirmed the battery needed to be replaced. He also went out of his way to locate a place that would be able to change the battery for me since the car need a special adapter to change the battery. He's a manager at DTR. On the one hand, I took issue with the legitimacy of the tow: I was getting the parking pass and in the meantime my car was towed, and literally within a few minutes of my returning, it was gone. So I deem it pretty unfair, bad policy, etc. But that's the Herndon neighborhood's policy, Not DTR's. On the other hand, I had a separate concern with the towing itself, and I sent a note to DTR about it. I got a call from Tim, who was courteous, professional, and accomodating. He explained his side of things, and really took an interest in my feedback, and addressing it. So I told him I'd be writing this review, and we shared a laugh over the irony of it. Writing a review in praise of the folks who hijacked my ride! ;-) My Lenten promise to give up bitterness (a year ago) is bearing strange fruit.

The most unprofessional and irresponsible towing company I have ever dealt with…read more My car was towed for "no overnight parking," even though I returned at midnight and it had only been parked for about three hours. They advertise themselves as 24/7 online, but their signage outside the actual shop clearly says 9 AM to 5 PM (which you only discover if you physically go there). Why claim 24/7 service online when your building says the opposite? It's misleading, wastes people's time, and costs them money. Even the police were confused because they thought the company was open 24/7 based on what is advertised everywhere online. The situation became even worse because this company did not report my car as towed to Prince William County Police, which is a basic legal requirement. Because of their negligence, the police had to treat my vehicle as stolen. A stolen-car report had to be filed, a case opened, and an officer was sent to the tow yard at 1:30 AM. The officer found no employees on-site and could not reach anyone from the company. Both I and the police officers spent the entire night calling the two phone numbers listed--one online and one posted on the door. Not a single call was answered from 1 AM to 6 AM. Their "24/7" claim is not just false; it is irresponsible. Because they didn't report the tow until the next morning, I had absolutely no idea what had happened to my car until the officer on my case called me at 6 AM to inform me it had been towed by Manassas Towing. If my car had actually been stolen, that's an entire night of lost critical time in which law enforcement could have been searching. Their negligence could have turned a stressful situation into a much more serious one. I did not sleep all night. I spent hours calling them, speaking with police, and trying to figure out what happened. I ended up missing an entire day of work because of this completely preventable situation. When I arrived the next day to retrieve my car, their office was still empty--not a single employee in sight. After calling the number posted on their door, someone finally answered for the first time ever and said they would send an employee. Even then, I had to wait over an hour for someone to show up. The only communication possible was in basic Spanish, which I thankfully could manage. This company is negligent, unreliable, unreachable, and dishonest. They created unnecessary stres, and showed zero professionalism or responsibility. Do NOT use this business. The experience was unacceptable in every possible way. _________________________________________________ Important Notes for Anyone Dealing With This Company (Information They Should Provide but Don't): Do NOT go to their office at night. Despite advertising "24/7" service online, the sign posted at their Manassas Park office clearly states: 9 AM - 5 PM. Outside those hours, you will almost certainly NOT reach anyone. Even the police could not reach them between 1 AM and 6 AM. Even during business hours, the office may be empty. To get an employee to actually come assist you, call: 571-481-1533 (This is the only number that finally reached someone after 100+ calls throughout the night.) The number listed on their website (571-751-2215) was never answered. I have no idea what this number is even used for, because no one picked up at any point.
