Two stars because they do pretty work but don't expect them to finish. They used the wrong grout and then layered the right one over the wrong grout and now it's all cracking all over our tub. The employee that installed the tiles was sloppy and got the grout on the ceiling and then painted over it and now we have patches of mismatched paint all over our freshly painted ceilings..we asked them to come back and fix the job ( I must have left 5 or 6 messages with the woman that runs the store in quincy) and she ignored every one. My MIL spent a fortune on her bathrooms and they did the same thing with her. It's a real shame that it would probably take not even a half of a day of work and they ignored me. I can't get the grout to look clean no matter how hard I scrub because there is water settling in the old grout that is cracking through..this was a few years ago but the grout is cracking even worse now in the shower and I'm finally now writing a review about it read more

Why did I not read the YELP reviews first? I will not make that mistake again. It started our great. Valerie was immensely helpful. Then I was sent to their remnant yard in Rockland to meet Jim McCadden, who Measured the vanity I had in my car and who found me a matching piece of quartz. This was December 28th. I left a deposit. I have called Jim four times over the last 3.5 weeks and left messages asking about eta and no phone call has been returned. I texted him. My husband called him. Finally, I called the store and asked to speak to the owner and was told they would leave a message for Kathy Smitt to call me back. When Kathy did not call me I called back the next day and she refused to get on the phone although she was there and told them to tell me they would give me my money back. I learned that Kathy is the GM for the last 30 years, not the owner, that Jim McCadden, who has not returned any calls is the owner along with another Jim Martin. I need the piece next week while I have the contractor. They are completely screwing me, have wasted a month and they don't care. read more

This is my fourth time obtaining tile at Tiles by Perfection for my home improvement projects. I have always found Janis there so extremely helpul and accommodating. Their showroom, though a bit small for the number of the samples they offer, is filled with endless possibilities. Thank goodness for Janis who, with your input and her great eye for color & décor , can point you in the right direction. A bit more $ than that "big box store" right up the street, Tiles by Perfections is SOOO much more worth the bit of extra price for the promise of: "PERFECTION"! read more

The people hear are completely disorganized and they will delay your project while causing you much stress along the way. When we went to pick out tiles, the sales person was very helpful and pleasant. That's about where the good experience ended. Our order was delayed by over a week because we couldn't get through to them on the phone; many messages, many times being left on hold indefinitely, and never a call back. They were unable to tell us when we could expect our original tile selection to arrive so we were forced to order a different tile that we knew would be available (another week delay getting through this). Then they ordered the wrong accent tile and tried to argue with us that it would still look good (which it wouldn't). After another week delay there, they communicated that the supplier didn't have the tile we wanted (why couldn't they tell us that before hand, instead of trying to pass off the wrong tile on us?). So then we had to scramble to find an accent tile, since the tiler was already in progress. Not fun. I do not recommend Tiles by Perfection. read more

I'd give less stars, if it was possible. We bought our counters for the entire house here. The stone itself was fine, but the installation was dismal. They used caulking that didn't match and was smeared all over the walls, quite possibly with their fingers. We have white marble in two bathrooms and they used off white caulking on the wall above the ledge and in the crevices. It looks terrible. Every time I look at one of the sinks I cringe. read more

Shopping for tiles for our kitchen backsplash we decided to go local rather than on-line. The sales staff were helpful and there was a great selection of tiles to go through. I picked up the order, which was 2 boxes of tile boxed from the manufacturer and 1 box of loose tiles. After I got home, my husband told me that we should have had 3 full boxes. We made the mistake of not checking through the tiles immediately and pretty soon about a month had gone by. When we finally went through the loose tiles we found that many of them were cracked or split down the middle, and they weren't all there! We called the store and were told that after 30 days they couldn't refund or replace any tiles (I can understand that. We should have checked the box immediately). However, the salesperson actually told us that the reason for the 30 days was that they could tell the distributor that it was broken when they got them if it was within the 30 days! My biggest beef is that they have someone on staff who would repackage a damaged box of tiles - with some of the tiles entirely missing - and try to pass it off to the customer in the first place. read more

Arranged for them to come out to measure our kitchen floor for an estimate on a tile job. They never got back to us after coming out to take measurements. If you can't even get back to me with an estimate, I'm sure not going to trust you with the job. We ended up going with someone else who gave us our estimate and completed the job in a timely fashion. read more

Even though I read the reviews before going in there I thought that I could do my part to make the situation better with hopes it would turn out OK. I don't have the time to list the things that are wrong with this place (partially because these people love to waste my time), but just please do yourself a favor and go some place else. I went to this store to purchase a product to clean the grout haze off of our porcelain tiles. They recommended a product by DuPont that worked very well, but charged me over $90 for a quart sized bottle. Out of desperation and my own time limitations I purchased it on the spot and did not look it up on DuPont's own website to see that it should only cost $8.72 !!! A complete rip off, definitely will not be buying anything further from this store if this is any indication of what their up-charge is on items. read more

My contractor recommended this place to me and I was reluctant after reading some of the reviews, I trust my contractor however so I went anyway. I can tell you that Janis couldn't have been more helpful in helping me pick out a remnant piece stone for my bathroom counter top then spent time helping me pick out beautiful flooring! She gave her opinion, offered advice while answering my many, many questions. Jim came out to measure my bathroom to cut the stone and said he would have completed in about a week. He did so with a smile and again answered my questions politely. I would recommend this place and specifically these two people I dealt with to anyone. read more

Pretty good selection and sales people helpful in the store. However, do not use them for installation or expect a return phone call for any follow up questions. They wil not return calls, left messages daily with no response and delayed project for weeks. I will use another business with better customer service in the future. read more

I bought my kitchen tile and quartz countertop here about 4 years ago for my last house and they were great to deal with and had an awesome selection! The kitchen came out beautiful. I just used them again (I moved and did another kitchen renovation). They were super helping me with my choices and lining everything up for me. I ran into an issue with my countertop and they were so good about getting it resolved quickly and with no fuss. And I love it!!! I highly recommend this place and the people. I was looking to re-do my bathroom. I shopped around at different tile places to see who had the best pricing, quality and quantity of tile designs, and who could install this in a timely manner. I found all of this at tiles by perfection. They were able to help me pick out the tiles with keeping in mind my budget and style. The total cost of the tile and installation was much less than I had estimated it would be for this renovation. I would definitely go to them again in the future and suggest them to others I know who are thinking of starting this type of home project. read more

Disappointed. Our granite countertop has developed a crack in the corner of my underhung sink. We never noticed that the material was a completely different color in that spot from the rest of the granite, until our attention was drawn there by the crack. Could it have been a patch when the countertop was made? Sure looks like it. Perfection Tile totally nonresponsive to even coming out to look at it. read more

We went into select our tile for a Bathroom Shower Wall and Floor and had no Idea where to Begin . The sales staff was awesome they gave us great Ideas for what size and colors would work best in our space . They had a great selection on tile , stone and glass. They also have a Show Door Company Upstairs and we were able to select that as well .We have a 1/2 bath coming up next and will be going back to them for help in selecting tile. read more

I have found the store staff, two women in their 50's to be so, less than friendly that it shocks me. Not helpful, no smile, no retail accumen, just plain terrible experience. They lost a 3500.00 sale because of this, not mine, but a friends purchase. Sad, but true, if you hate your business try something else. read more

We wanted to install a backsplash. They have a nice selection and the owner came out to measure. I was told it would take about a week for the tile to be delivered to the store then I would hear from the owner approximately a week after that to arrange installation. After not hearing from anyone for three weeks, I stopped by and was told the owner was on vacation and would be back the following week. After that, it would be a couple more weeks before he could get to us because he was very busy. I said I would just pick up my tile and get someone else to do the job. I was then told they would put me at the top of the list because I had waited for a month by that time. The employee told me the owner would be back the following Monday and they would call me on Monday or Tuesday. By Friday when I still had not heard from them I went and picked up the tile. I had another professional tiler do the installation. He charged $150 less than Tiles by Perfection was going to charge. To add insult to injury, I ended up with eight extra boxes of 4x4 tumbled marble. I'm not sure why that happened since it was the owner himself who came out to measure. As with any special order, it obviously can't be returned so the extra is in our storage unit and will never be used but was paid for!! read more

This place is absolute horrible! I agree with the reviewers here that the sales experience was relatively pleasant, but after your order is placed that's when things go south. I was told generally it takes 1 week to get the tile shipment and I would get a call. 2 weeks went by and not a call from anyone. I called and spoke to someone on Friday and was told the tiles were at the store and ready for pickup. Then I got a call 30 mintues later telling me that not everything was there and they will double check and call me back. Needless to say no one call back. Then I called again the next day and was told they have to check the warehouse, but the person wouldn't be back till 3pm. Again I was told someone would call me back, but still no call backs at the end of day. I will try to call for status again for the 3rd day, but if I continue to get this type delay tactics and of poor service I will demand a refund and take my business elsewhere. I have a big enough headache with my contractors and home remodel and this is another layer of stress that nobody needs on top of everything. I do not recommend this place. There are better places to do business. read more

After purchasing a Town House, I contacted Tiles By Perfection to remodel the kitchen and 2 bathrooms. I had never been through a process like this before and it was obvious. The ladies in the showroom were patient and offered helpful suggestions. They understood the budget I was working within and helped me stay within my budget, still able to get a quality product with beautiful results. The rooms where measured and I received my estimate within 3 days. The workers were efficient and worked quickly, they worked well with the other contractors on the project. Throughout the job a representative from Tiles By Perfection stopped by to check on the progress, making sure I was happy and the work was of the highest quality. I have directed a number of friends to Tiles By Perfection since the completion of my kitchen and baths, all found the same level of professionalism and quality I found. read more
