He worked with me to find exactly the look I was seeking, and handled a few changes for me as well. Chris also worked directly with my contractor for final numbers and delivery details, all the while keeping me informed. This exceeded any of my expectations. Their product line is top notch, and pricing extremely fair. Make an appointment so that your sales person can reserve the time needed to work with you, Monique's is not a big box store with run of the mill items and sales people wandering about (if you can find them) with limited product knowledge. Everyone I met there was professional and very knowledgeable. It was a joy to shop at Monique's. I'll be back and will recommend anyone I know to Chris at Monique's. Thanks for being the best part of my bathroom renovation! Paul

Of course, I did my due diligence by shopping around all the tile stores in the area (Roma Tile, Tile Showcase, United Tile, etc etc). Mickey matched my prices and worked directly with my contractor to arrange pickup and delivery. Not really a budget experience (hence that elusive 5th star), but I felt good knowing the job was getting done right, at a comparable and reasonable price.

With one project, some tile was delayed and Mickey rode all the way to the Cape to deliver the materials in time for the contractors. Another time, I made the mistake of ordering some marble that picked up stains too quickly. Mickey sent people to my home--above and beyond what was expected--to help me with this matter. He is a first class guy and owns a tile store that provides reasonable prices for good products.

She is extremely knowledgeable and has a great eye for choosing tile colors and styles that work beautifully together. She helped us design a gorgeous bathroom for our first condo, and when that purchase unexpectedly fell through, she went the extra mile and designed a completely new bathroom for the place we eventually bought. What also stood out was how helpful and available she was during the construction phase--answering questions, giving guidance, and making sure everything matched the design vision. Her patience, professionalism, and commitment to getting every detail just right made a huge difference for us. We highly recommend Rene' to anyone looking for a talented, thoughtful designer who truly cares about her clients.

All tile orders are non refundable which is very sad given home renovation almost always comes with surprises. They are also not a one stop shop- they do not sell Schluter which our contractor was shocked by, and this had us looking elsewhere for these types of products which was quite inconvenient. Be aware that the onus is on the homeowner to measure, layout, design, measure again prior to ordering. No responsibility will be taken by the Tile Showcase if any of these are inaccurate or not to your liking once you get the tile. Overall, I wish we had shopped around and decided to go elsewhere.

Designworks gave us a sparkling new hardwood floor and cushiony top-of-the line carpeting on the 2nd floor for the first job. Paul came highly recommended by friends and quite frankly when you see his work it sells itself. We went with them even though the estimate was higher than another contractor because this company bases their estimates off the costs of the highest priced supplies. The real cost depends on the quality of product you choose to have installed. So these estimates are truely accurate if you want the best product in your property investment. Given the amount of stress I was under due to planning our wedding in 3 months, moving and changing employers, working with Designworks was a stress relief. When the work was complete my house was sparkling. They vacuumed the entire house, no foot prints, saw dust or any trace of their presence was left behind! They handled demolition, moving heavy appliances out of the kitchen and recommended tiling for the entryways to preserve the life of the wood. Being a new homeowner I was so thankful for Paul's knowledge. He clearly communicated all costs and any decisions we had to make. We just hired Designworks to update our bathroom venthilation system and toilets this past April,2012. Again, so happy with the work. For all our future home improvement and customizations, I know where I'm taking my business.
