I am a custom home builder in Oregon, where we installed 2 of their systems last year on custom homes.....one of those was my personal residence..... they were not helpful with helping me understand their product.....when i finally ordered (because i did not understand the system) i received about twice the pedestal materials that i needed....and after 30 days you cannot send back.....so i own a whole bunch of material i will never use..... Absolutely the worst manufacturer I've ever worked with. Fairly friendly people but completely incompetent. In fairness they state 6-10 weeks to deliver and they push that to the limit. Never respond when they say they will. Shipped products separately but never told us the items come from different distribution outlets. Zero proactive communication of when products will ship. We finally received our base tiles at week 10 after being told we'd get them by 8, then didn't get the turf that goes on top. Called and they hadn't even set up the shipment of that until after we received the base tiles. Now we won't receive that until week 12. The contractor we work for is not happy and unfortunately for both of us this was spec'ed for this job. Needless to say we will never use TileTech again unless forced to and would never recommended this company as a product to use. Completely unorganized company with no sense of compassion or real care for customer experience. I expressed my dissatisfaction to a couple employees that answer my calls but neither seemed to really care you want to address it. Maybe it's because they're desensitized to it by hearing it all the time?? For background I managed a multi million dollar distribution company for 15 yrs and have worked with hundreds of vendors. Ordered my deck components in August. Now, end of November, I still do not have all my parts and pieces. I have never struggled so much with a manufacture to get dates of when they would ship products that have already been paid for. Entire staff from quotes & sales, to invoicing & shipping are incompetent. They do not respond to emails. When I call, they have no info and do not return phone calls. Just decided to use another vendor. I sent an email back on June 24 and to this day have not received a reply. Since then, we've made our final decisions and decided to go ahead and use Tile Tech for our pool coping, pool patios and the interior flooring of our pool house. So, I sent another email two days ago to verify tile and coping sizes so we could finalize our order. I also wanted to know how long it would take to receive the materials. NO RESPONSE. I found another vendor this morning and within one hour I had a response. I'm glad I found these reviews because I was still going to maybe give them a chance. The tiles (porcelain pavers) are beautiful. My installer (not tiletech) did a wonderful job. I have 6 2'x2' pavers left over. Wondering what to do with them, everyone said I should be able to return these 6 tiles, still in their boxes. Tile Tech said no, they don't accept returns. I have since learned that other companies do accept them. Be aware, if you buy from them. These terms and conditions are not mentioned on their website (terms and conditions page). read more

Went through the process of ordering pedestal system. Worst internal communication from a vendor I have ever experienced. It's like the coworkers play against each other. Very unprofessional. I cancelled my long waited order to get charged $1500 for a restocking fee. In which I was told by the shipping department that my order was never even fufilled. All around bad experience. My experience in a nutshell: Great product but the owner is the Soup Nazi of tile. - I found the owner, Ronnie, to be so rude and difficult to work with that we decided halfway through the process to go with a different manufacturer. We ONLY came back to Tile Tech because our installer said TT's pedestal system makes installation on a rooftop deck so much easier that our install fee would increase by almost $8,000 to switch. Every installer we talked with warned us that Ronnie could be challenging, but I never expected I'd get yelled at multiple times, for no reason (expect maybe that I'm a female homeowner?), by the owner of a company I was spending so much money with. - Beautiful product. We installed 1400 sq. ft. of their porcelain pavers to our rooftop deck. Installation was smooth and it's gorgeous. Most installers we met with said Tile Tech's tiles were a bit better made than the others. - Delivery was a pain, but that's on Road Runner, the freight company. I had the same issue as another Yelp'er. Road Runner sent too big of a truck, so they paid us to rent a forklift and unload it ourselves. - Other than my bad experiences with Ronnie, customer service was otherwise good. Lupe was especially helpful and friendly, especially in dealing with the delivery issues. They were quick to FedEx as many samples as we wanted. The response rate to emails was low. We also got no confirmation that they'd received or processed our order, which required another dreaded phone call to Ronnie. And yes, he yelled at me during that call for not having an invoice number, which would have been on the confirmation that they didn't send us. My suggestion to Ronnie is this: if you're too busy (or lack the people skills) to treat customers & potential customers courteously & respectfully, hire someone else to handle sales calls. read more

Everyone at Tile Tech has been incredibly helpful during every step of my transaction, from preliminary quote to the order process and post order, I give them 5/5 stars and more doe their amazing customer service! The sales team was quick in delivering a quote for the multiple products I was interested in. Tina (sales) was super patient and extremely knowledgeable when it came to all my questions. Yesenia and Jose jumped through flaming hoops to get the delivery to my job site as early/quick as possible. Ronnie also jumped in when I had questions about the product and even took two hours to guide me through countless videos, links and photos on the company website. Lastly, I had to order additional tile to complete my project and Liz jumped in to expedite my order to be ready for pick up the next business day. I've never experienced this type of customer service in the past two years during Covid. We installed concrete pavers in 2014 and they have worn so poorly that they need to be replaced. I called Tile Tech to look into replacing the concrete pavers with another material, and was amazed at how rudely I was treated. I was told to send an email with my request. I sent three emails, and never got a reply. When I called the company back, the owner, Ronnie, was very rude and asked me to call back the next day because he was busy. I ended up ordering an entirely new system from another company, whose customer service is great. I recommend not working Tile Tech because of their terrible service. read more

The final results were good. My biggest mistake was not having an experienced installer determine supplies needed. I asked TT to supply me with approved vendors and got a list of 4 in Dallas area. Two didn't return calls, one out of business, and the 4th only did ground level, while mine is a deck on top of house. A second request brought nothing. So I allowed TT to put together what I needed, which included over $3000 of stuff I didn't use, and strict return policy made it difficult to cost-effectively return. The biggest expense (aside from tiles themselves) was honeycomb trays, which were not appropriate for my design as it did not exceed 4" in height off roof. These have little ears on each side which break off very easily--in shipping or unpacking. So half of these (100 at $20ea) were not returnable. I found the staff generally very helpful, and I did not have contact with owner who has a not-so-good reputation. Liz offered to help me find a second hand buyer that might be able to use my extra stuff. However, I was not confident this would result in anything, and since the stuff had been sitting in my driveway for 4 months waiting for installation (too hot in Texas to be working on roof!), I trashed everything except the non-returnable tiles that could possibly be used for something else someday. Bottom line I am very happy with results, even though it cost several thousand more than it should have. Find an experienced installer, as the whole system is kind of a giant puzzle. read more

Worst managerial customer service I have ever encountered This company is a joke. Never in my career have I ever dealt with a more unorganized, uninformative, unprofessional, and rude company. First, after I had paid for my very expensive order, it was like pulling teeth to get a response from these people on progress of my order. I tried calling and emailing multiple times. Calls were never returned as promised, emails were left unanswered for the better part of a week. All the whilst my client waits for their paver system to be installed, these people can't update me on the status of my order or the shipping information. Once I finally received my order and went to install, my crew had a question about the design of the pavers. The etched lines to create the illusion of decking boards did not match up on some of the tiles. Since we typically install solid colored tiles I had never encountered this situation and wasn't anticipating it. I called Tile Tech and was transferred to the "manager" RONNIE and proceeded to ask some simple questions to gather enough information to speak intelligently to my client who had a decision on their hands. "How come the lines don't match up side by side", "how do you typically see this installed as a finished product?", "do you have pictures I can show my client", "how do you recommend we install this product? alternating between vertical and horizontal? or keep lines the same direction and keep the randomized lines?" He proceeded to cut me off on almost every question to shoot down any potential information, he did not offer me any solution to my questions or issues, and he eventually got very frustrated with me for seemingly no reason. I was not being unreasonable and was just asking simple questions. This guy was very rude and seemingly annoyed with me before he even answered the phone. I DO NOT recommend using these people for any paver or tile services, the customer service I received was unlike anything I have ever dealt with. SO unprofessional its ridiculous. read more

I had a very different experience than the other people that I've written reviews. I contacted Tile tech spoke to the office manager and had them send me a catalog so I can order my product. It took me several days to make my selection and when I did and I contacted Tile Tech and placed my order. Everything seemed to go pretty smoothly and I had no issues. My product was delivered as scheduled and the manufacture and also referred an installation company which I did use. The results turned out absolutely beautiful. If you are looking for beautiful pavers at an affordable price give these guys a shoot. I spoke with the owner and he started arguing with me and spouting out foul language, at that point I asked for his supervisor and was shocked when he stated he was the owner. I'm a do-it-yourselfer with a fair amount of acumen. I had been looking at installing a pedestal deck over our garage for some time, and finally decided to do it last summer. The overall size of the installation was about 450 ft^2. First I asked Tile-tech for samples of pedestal devices, and a wide variety of tile types. They were very generous, and shipped the rather heavy samples priority mail. This was great, and allowed us to choose the tile without disappointment. Some of the samples really didn't image well on the web, and would have been a mistake. I planned out the installation, and had a few conversations with Ronnie to clear up the purpose of some of the parts. He was helpful in estimating what was necessary, although we overordered shims pretty badly. The biggest headache we had was when I ordered the tile (about 2 tons of it), the shipping company (despite my speaking with them on the phone before delivery) sent a truck that was far too large for our road. The delivery was a failure, and I had to make several trips into San Jose to pick up the load in portions. Installation generally went quickly, once the lay lines were struck, and the product itself is great. The only installation related headache I had was that the 24" porcelain tiles had an unfortunate tendency to fracture when being cut. This was with a large B&K 212 tile saw with a brand new blade. Because of that, we had a little more loss than expected, and I had to order some more tile. Even though my job was a small one, the folks at Tile-tech were helpful, and the second delivery company brought a more reasonable truck. All in all, we love the finished installation. It looks great, was fun to install, and the installed surface was dead flat with the adjustable pedestals, despite the complex sloped acrylic deck below it. read more

This business sells excellent porcelain tile pavers and very good pedestals however the customer service is rather miserable due to an unprofessional and rude person in charge. They are on line with advertising to all customers however appear to only wish to service very large orders - people who purchase more than just a few thousand dollars worth of goods. Due to their significant mis-calculation of the number of pedestals required for my job, I have a few hundred dollars worth of leftover product. However I have not been able to return it because the principal person first ignored multiple contact request and then was rude when reached by phone. I have ordered 400 sqft of tiles from them for my private roof space. I have no doubt that the tiles are gorgeous (they haven't arrived yet and I look forward to receiving them later this week). YET, I have to give them a low rating due to customer service. I have clearly communicated I have a deadline to meet, but even then, they were delayed shipping my tiles from CA to NY by a few days (even when I paid everything promptly). The person in charge (he said he is the owner) was constantly short with me on the phone. Whenever I tried to ask a question courteously, he interrupted with frustration (where there was no reason to be frustrated whatsoever). He was just generally unpleasant and condescending. Our experience with Tile Tech Pavers was unfavorable. The pavers were fine, but the custom coping we ordered was the wrong size and the edge was completely unfinished. My wife attempted to speak with Ronnie (the owner) on multiple occasions to try and resolve the issues and was treated extremely rudely and even yelled at her over the phone. To-date, this matter has not been resolved. We plan to sue them and file a report with the Better Business bureau. read more

Directly after I asked my first question the person on the other end of the phone began to be very short with me because I did not know exactly what type of membrane I needed pricing for. Not even sure where to start honestly. I hope this review saves at least one person from the head ache I have gone through. I work for a commercial roofing company and we install ALOT of paver and pedestal systems. In my dealings with clients, architects, roofing manufactures, architectural sheet metal manufactures, and paver manufactures I have never been so frustrated. We had no choice but to use Tile Tech due to an architect that insisted on this product. Procuring a quote was easy everything else was not. Took 5 months for our system to arrive and when it finally did it was time for snow and ice so we couldn't install right away. Finally when weather broke we loaded the material to the roof and wouldn't you know it looks horrible from being wrapped in the packaging too long. Also, to quote the architect who insisted this product be used, "these are unacceptable, the color is inconsistent and 25% of the pavers have chips along the edges" this is as we are unwrapping the product off the pallets it arrived on not after install just to be clear. Then as we are wrapping up installation we realize there are entirely too many pavers and not enough pedestals. Since Tile Tech quoted the job, as we do when we quote installing a roof or wall panels and mess up we eat that cost, you would think tile tech would send the 4 boxes of pedestals they shorted but no, there goes another $2k. Of course you pay all that money and they send the wrong thing why not. At least after the 5 month wait on the original order I had an expectation of another disaster. Saw some of the other reviews on here mentioned Ronnie as well, haha what a joke! Can't even take the time to write a letter to an architect who is rejecting his product or return the call of a customer who is trying to sort the mess out without making Tile tech look like a bunch of idiots. But hey when you make people pay upfront before they can even see your product I guess you don't have to worry anymore. Oh well hopefully that doesn't end up in a law suit for good old Tile Tech. If I ever have another architect insist on this product my company will not even consider. Too many other great companies out there to waste time and money on a place like this. Seems more like a residential rip off than anything you would want on a $40 million building anyways. Just to give some perspective we have done 2 projects now with tiles we had to order from Italy that took less than 2 months from the day they received our money to the day we unloaded a truck. I cut him off mid-rant as he was telling me how insignificant we are to him and how we can't be wasting his time and money. This is all after they quoted us the tiles we needed, we ordered, gave the CC info, and they just sat on our order. Two months later and our customer is irate because they hadn't received the pavers and we had no idea, so we call Tile Tech to find out, and we're told how much trouble we are and that we shouldn't even be calling him. Do NOT waste your time on this company, I repeat, do NOT CALL TILE TECH PAVERS! Try Hanover Architectural Products in PA instead. Very nice customer service. We found Tile Tech on-line and hired them to manufacture some stone landscaping pavers for us. The order cost was near 6k. They said it would take THREE WEEKS to arrive. When the time for the order to arrive had come and gone, we began calling to check on the status of the order. The person managing our order was Ronnie Tabibnia. He treated us as though our order was such small potatoes that it was an inconvenience to him to even deal with us. He was extremely disorganized. My husband describes him as a "train wreck." He repeatedly promised delivery dates that came and went. There was no follow through. When either one of us called to ask about the order we were given excuse after excuse. The kind of excuses that people give when they don't want you to question what is going on. One time when I called to ask the status of our order, I selected zero for the receptionist. Ronnie answered and on a scale of 1-10, he was at 14! Yelling at me to give him my order number, cutting me off in the middle of speaking to demand information from me, extremely excited, irrational behavior. He finally screamed into the phone that his wife was in the middle of having a baby right then! I hung up having received no information about our order and scratching my head. If it were true that his wife was having a baby at that moment, why would he be answering phones for the receptionist?! Then there came the excuses that involved deaths in the family. He was remarkably rude, not only to us but to his employees as well. When asked about the order, he would cuss his employees out while we were still on the phone. He was abusive to the point that we could hear one lady crying in the background. To which Ronnie said, "Stop F*#* crying!" My husband told Ronnie he was beginning to suspect their business is a fraud and now it's 10 weeks later and our order miraculously arrived this week.... with missing components. Beware! read more
