Giant 4 meat with white instead of red sauce plus mushrooms & olives, even the water was good.
Ken L.

From 1st walking in greated with a very friendly welcome, then promptly attended to, I was able to give my order, check the restroom, and come back with the water I ordered waiting for me. I got the grand size to take leftovers home, glad I did because the 4 meat pizza with white instead of red sauce plus mushrooms & olives added was delicious. Had a nice relaxing vibe, maybe a touch too dark but still able to read the menu, the "Tiki" decor was nice with a fitting Gilligan's Island re-run playing on the flatscreen on the wall, lol... it's been awhile since I was here with family, and still a great place for a single, couple, group, or family to go.

Service was good, ambiance was good would live more tiki music. Food was prepared perfectly. Show picture of appetizer. Pretzel with spicy mustard was in fact spicy

Been back a few times now and most recently came back here on a Saturday night. Ordered a pepperoni pizza. Asked for ranch. Pizza was burnt and never received the ranch. Then the check came and saw I was charged extra for the ranch. I didn't say anything because my daughter asked that I not embarrass her. But the last couple of times we have been here the service has not been great.

Smells good when you walk in! Came in for a drink. Ended up eating amazing pizza. Their pizza has a natural gluten free crust. It is delicious! The recommendations from the waiter was great! We sat at the bar and got amazing service. This place was so cute and unexpected. We really stopped in on a whim because we visited a store next store. Totally worth it! Recommend!

Great place to meet old friends!

Ambiance was amazing with a cool tiki bar theme and great background music. So many local microbrews to choose from! We had the supreme pizza and it was excellent with fresh ingredients and a local company's dough for the tasty crust! Everyone must try this place!

Pretzels are loaded with seasoning but taste like nothing at all.

Great and unique pizzas. Good rotating beer selection. But it might be a modern marvel that they're able to load up their soft pretzels with so much seasoning and yet still be 100% flavorless. Please fix that.

Hours of Operation (hard to see).

I made a special trip here because their pizza sounded really good. Was it? Hunose? Yelp says they are open to 9:00 evrry day. Their hours, which are posted on their door, says they are open until 9:00 every day. Yet, when I make the drive here based on their advertised hours, and arrive at 8:30, I come to find that they are closed. No idea why, as no sign was posted saying "New Hours", or " Family Emergency" or some such. Apparently, they just close when they feel like it, instead of remaining open the duration of their posted hours like any responsible merchant does. Based on this lackadaisical attitude toward their work; and dismissive attitude toward their customers, which have to travel to get here, I won't be back.

Always a good place to get a good pizza or sammy, a beer, and relax. The service is pretty good and parking is always easy.

You can either bring your own growler or purchase one on-site. They also have glasses or mugs available for purchase. The brewery is located right off the side of the service road and appears to be in a warehouse-like configuration. There's a food truck on the front that I've heard has some amazing food, although I haven't tried it yet. They do have vegetarian options, so I'll check that out later. The bar dining area is spacious and welcoming for all customers. The bar top has a couple of televisions where you can watch sports if that's your thing. Before you order a beer, I recommend trying a couple of samples, which is what I usually do. The growler I used was about $12-$15, which is a great deal considering that a beer on tap costs about eight dollars for 20 ounces. You can get five of those for the price of $15, so it's a very affordable option. Overall, I really enjoy this place and make it a point to go down there every other month because it's one of my favorite breweries.

Walking in we were greeted with friendliness and seated in an area that we liked. The hostess steered us to a talk that wasn't cold - since that was the one thing I mentioned. I hate being cold. :) I was lucky enough to order their cheeseburger from the happy hour menu. I think it is the same as the one on the regular menu. I had expected just a burger and was pleased to see it came with fries. Our server was prompt, helpful, and nice... the whole team was. The burger was a smash tyupe burger and I found the texture of the meat pleasing and tasty, just a bit of crust as some many people love on a smash burger. The condiments we fresh enough and had good flavor. When I say fresh enough I mean that the lettuce and onions didn't have a crunch to them, but they weren't mushy. Overall one of the better burgers so far. This venue would be good for anything from a family meal to some afterwork laughs or even a romantic dinner. The only reason it didn't get the fifth star is because of the condiments not being nice and crunchy. Solid place to eat and I would recommend.

Looks reasonably nice, for a typical small town bar. Fairly populated around 10:30 PM. My friend says the drinks are good and cheap, and that you can get "black out drunk" for $20. Which is apparently a good thing? I'd already eaten and drank plenty of soda, so I didn't get anything. But the vibe was pleasant enough. Loud music, some loud people, but nothing too off the walls. I was probably only worried because I don't like drinking, or bars. I'd never come back, but that's just because I don't drink. I came here because my friend wanted to show me the place. (We actually wanted to go to "The Hub" but he said it wasn't "popping" enough.) Overall, it's a nice enough bar for people that should be in attendance. But it wasn't outstanding enough to make want to come and get a water. Thanks for reading if you did. My friend saw an old fling here, and got worried.

I'll start this review off by saying that I love Cathlamet. It's a quaint little historic town…read morewith a rich history and really nice people. I've been visiting here a dozen times a year for four decades. There are a few eateries here. Many seem to come and go although there are a couple that have survived the test of time. RM38 is a newcomer... used to be in a small building with VERY limited hours. I gather their main biz was brewing craft beer for a very small clientele of businesses and the "saloon" was mostly a side hustle to help pay the rent. So I see they moved into new digs down at the marina. I won't take off any stars for the following since this seems to be their new business model: Offering uber-expensive, skimpy portions of not especially tasty food targeted to yuppies who have more money than brains. Suffice to say that you won't see many Bikers hanging out here. The good: Their patio has a nice river view and a pleasant breeze. Sitting out there enjoying a cold one on a hot Summer day is very pleasant. And during the Fall too so long as it's not raining. People complain about the lack of parking which is not an issue when you show up on a motorcycle. But there are LOTS of places to park although you may have to walk a few yards... you poor darlings. Staff is less than amazing but they are always courteous towards me. I suppose I am no more their dream customer than they are my dream hangout. But Bikers tend to be very generous tippers so they might want to keep that in mind. There's one long-established watering hole in Cathlamet but it's a dark, indoor venue. I like it there and it's more of a dive bar with very good food. The thing about Cathlamet is that if you are just an occasional visitor you have many options of where to stop for a meal and/or drink and never get bored. There's also a few good places at the other end of the ferry ride in Westport, Oregon. Hard to say how long RM38 will stay in business. I'm actually surprised that they lasted in their original location for so long considering that they were only open for a few hours during the weekend. It would be great if they quit pretending to be an upscale eatery and instead focused on providing a good value, tasty, filling meal for the money. Again, no minus stars for that but until new management comes along and makes some changes it will just be a pint or two for me and i'm on my way. Of course as always YMMV.
