After driving an hour and 20 minutes from Oceanside, I was a little nervous on what we are going to get that I have experienced with cheesy used car dealers in the past who are high-pressure pitch, or try to be charged for these silly "mandatory" dealer add-ons (such as Lo Jack GPS tracking and /or protection film). Or the dreaded "oh so sorry, we just sold that one, but we have this ugly more expensive car over here!"...but nothing like that here. Gio was very knowledgeable and I liked his consultative sales style was also professional. He explained that they mainly buy cars "Green Light" from auctions: the auctioneer guarantees the purchaser (Hanna Autotomize in this case) that the car is mechanically sound regarding the engine, transmission, and drive train. The auctioneer that sell these Green Light cars offers arbitration to the dealer too (returning the car or getting repair costs) if hidden, major defects are found within a 7-14 days. Gio's dealer do charge a few hundred dollars (up to $995 I think?) depending on the car price) that covered the cost to replace anything after their own internal mechanic reviews the car, so that there are no surprises later that would have to be relaced by me anyways. They provided a CarFax for free and an option for a paid extended warranty for peace of mind too. I am really lucky to find this boutique family owned dealer and I highly recommend Hanna.

That's how you protect yourself! Friday 9/4/26 Jolie from Hanna Automotive texted me so I texted back regarding the OTD & got no response after that! I called the dealership & Gio Hanna answered the phone which I asked him about sending me the OTD itemization pricing for the vehicle! Gio told me to text him my address & email so he can send that OTD to me right away! I waited & got no response back so I texted him & his response was, "his finance team left for the day, but he'll get me the OTD first thing when they open up!" Well, yesterday,Saturday 9/6/26, his dealership opens up @ 10am & I never got the OTD! I waited all fking day for this bastrd to send me it or at least contact me, but I got no response! I texted Gio in the afternoon which of course, no response! That evening before closing time, I called Gio & he claims that the OTD was sent to my email, which he never did, but he'll go ahead & send it to me right away! Waited 5 minutes, got nothing so I called Gio back right away & this time this mfkr was in his car driving!! Then lies & says there was a typo in my email! There was no typo since my email address was clear in the spelling! In conclusion, Gio will answer the phone, but not your text message! They won't follow up with you because they want you to rush & be gulllable! These small used car dealerships like Hanna Automotive, HATE people asking for an OTD so they give you the run around & lie! An OTD exposes them to shady shit & this dealership along with many other shady small used car dealerships, love to pull the wool over your eyes! I been burned before by Autoboyz, so what happened to me taught me a lesson to protect myself & ask for the OTD before anything else! I'm being smart about my purchase! It's always the shady ones, Hanna Automotive, that aren't truthful, they're always sticking the customer with hidden shit & Gio & his dealership is one of them! BTW, yesterday, while dealing with this bullshit silence, I found a local used car dealership, family owned, they sent me an OTD right away & then contacted me asking how the numbers look & would I like to come down to test drive! I asked some specific questions about the car I came to see... specifically, if it had a sunroof, as you could not tell in their few pics on OfferUp. I was assured it had a sunroof. You can't mix up the car I was asking about, as the messages we exchanged we right on the app for that specific car. He would NOT tell me if he was a dealer or private party, nor give me the name of the business if he was a dealer. I pull up to the address and then realize it's a bunch of car shop businesses and then he texts me the building/suite # once I tell him I'm there. I walk up to see the car, NO SUNROOF! AND, it has more miles on it than advertised, as 1 of the salesman there is using it as a daily driver, not to mention it smelled like a dirty gym bag, because he still had all his gym gear in the trunk. I told him thanks for wasting my time and gas, I clearly asked about this specific car and if it had a sunroof... he then tried to sell me on a different car with a sunroof as I walked away.
