I would like to clarify my review. The Lease Outlet advertises its broker fee as $895, but do not be fooled. In my case, the true fee consisted of the $895 broker fee plus an additional $2,500 "service fee," for a total of $3,395. The salesperson I worked with, Sean McLaughlin, misrepresented what the service fee was for. Sean walked me through the calculations and explained that the amount I paid, consisting of the broker fee and service fee, would be applied toward my drive-off/entry fees, including my first month's payment, bank fee, doc fee, taxes, and other amounts shown in the attached screenshot. I did take delivery of the vehicle, and the service fee was not applied toward my entry fees in any way. As shown in The Lease Outlet owner's response to my credit card company, that is not where the service fee was applied. In my opinion, this is a classic bait and switch. Instead of those fees being covered by the amount I paid upfront, they were rolled into my monthly lease payment, with additional interest applied. The whole point of using a vehicle broker was to make the leasing process easier and more transparent. Instead, my experience with The Lease Outlet resulted in me paying thousands of dollars for what became a much bigger headache. I truly hope this review helps the next person understand the full cost before working with The Lease Outlet, so they are not misled by what I believe are deceptive fee practices. Unfortunately, I did not read these reviews before engaging Joe to find a car. I gave him an monthly lease payment limit, and when he could not find the car at that price point, I told him I wanted to cancel the search and for him to refund the "deposit" that would have been applied to the dealer (I was willing to forego the $895 service fee). Joe became enraged and told me there was no refund, even though the lease process was not successful. The purpose of working with this company is to get a car at an approved price, not to be forced to spend more than communicated. Be ready to spend more than budgeted or be harangued and yelled at if you don't play their game. PS - the pricing shown on their website is totally bogus. read more

Sean and Joe did what they said they could which frankly surprised me because the lease payment is really low. the down was more but not that much more. I leased a Audi Q4 e-Tron through Joe Lopez at the Lease Outlet in July of this year. Joe always returned my call and took time to go through the intricacies of doing a lease with ease. It was so simple...I thought there was a 'catch' but it wasn't. Even working through the time difference of East/West coast, he made sure that all of my questions and concerns were addressed. He found the car I was looking for and made sure that we were able to close the deal within my budget. My local dealer was trying to lease me the same vehicle with a lesser trim model at a higher cost than I was getting through Joe. In fact, the local dealer didn't want to offer the EV rebate and only came 'clean' and offer the rebate AFTER I told him I was getting the vehicle and rebate from Joe...and that dealer was supposed to be a sales manager! They are a classic bait and switch business - I waited 2.5 months for a Audi A6 but Joe Lopez could not get me the car he promised and kept increasing the monthly price from $530 upto $608 and money due at signing he promised me $5000 and at the final stages of the deal he made it $6000 due at signing. This company not only charges a service fee of $595 but also tries to make money from the dealer as well. I was able to get the same deal Joe Lopez promised me from a legitimate Audi dealership near my house. This is a business being run out of a condo. They only write 5-year leases. Who in their right mind would lease a car for 5-years when the car is out of warranty in 3 or 4 years? Also, whatever payment is quoted by the Lease Outlet, expect a 15-20% "bump" upon delivery of the vehicle. The owner does this simply because he's gotten away with it more than not. You can lease a car anywhere else for less money and far less hassle. This is a SCAM company. They had me DocuSign a lease on a BMW. Then had me wire them $4,995. The next day they called and said they had to cancel the deal as they could not do it for the price they agreed to. After they attempted to find another car and being now thousands more than the local BMW dealer could do, I asked for my money back. Then they said " Congradulations, we ordered your car"!!. I had already told them no to every car offer. Ken Butler ( the owners son ) said " refunds are beyond my paygrade"!!. Now they are saying I approved the order with no paperwork or text or emails to prove it. I have texts proving I approved nothing and Mr Butler agreeing to stop all searches. Now, after more than 2 months, they have a document that I've never seen before, with my DocuSigned electronic signature, super imposed on it. It is a spec sheet, not a purchase order. It is undated. Buyers be warned! I began the lease process back in March 2020, and from there things went from bad to worse. After no communication for Joe after he got my upfront deposit, the car I ordered (and had a production number for) was cancelled by the dealer that Joe Lopez (the lease outlet) was using because they didn't want to honor the original terms in light of the COVID related production issues. Nobody notified me, the only way I found out was by tracking the production number through the BMW portal. So now that my cars production has been cancelled and the original terms could not be met (rate/price/timing)- you would think that I would be returned my earnest money deposit and some sort of apology for the inconvenience. Nope. Joe Lopez has refused to return my deposit for almost a year of trying to amicably resolve the issue. I am now having to turn to BBB and pursue legal remedies to recover the deposit he has stolen for a car he was unable to deliver. My experience at the Lease Outlet wasn't good! Initially, I spoke to Joe, and he offered me a great deal over the phone. I was very excited. I called him back a day or two later to finalize the deal. After pulling my file, he changed the down payment and monthly payment to which we hadn't agreed. Basically, I declined the offer. I contacted his office again a few months later to inquire about a different type of vehicle in hope of a lease purchase because the monthly payment at the Lease Outlet appear low. However, the suggested down payment isn't true to scale. Joe asked for $2000 more than the listed down payment. My thing is, if you want 3,600 down list that. Don't list 2,999 then add on extra charges later. It's deceiving to me. I viewed a Benz coupe 2014 and BMW coupe 2014.
