We love it here. Friendly people, fun ambiance with board games and good drinks. Always a nice place to go for a chill night.

We stopped here as part of our summer social beer crawl this year. We came in the late afternoon when it was pretty much empty. Service was of course solid given we were the only group in there. Everyone was happy with the wide beer selection, numerous board games, cute bathrooms with chalkboard walls and tons of cans and bottles from local breweries to take home. Pros: Industrial and clean yet cozy feel, fun board games and good beer on tap. Great for bigger groups. Cons: Nothing comes to mind

Still a total 5 star location! Brian and Danny constantly have events, new and fun food trucks outside, and always have a nice variety on tap. Other places might have more on tap, but the neighbor feel and friendliness of the customers and owners really make this place one of my favorites in all of Oakland! I actually bought a growler of the Cara Cara Bang Bang sour to take home and make some carnitas! I'm not a huge sour beer person, but this stuff tastes JUST like orange juice. It ended up being an awesome dish!

Awesome place with great variety of tap and canned beers and very loyal audience. We're there for the first time on Sofar event and can tell that the atmosphere was amazing! The only thing that I can ask as a not a beer person a couple more of ciders would be really great(:

Great tap selection, very kind staff, great outdoor seating to see all the doggos out for their walks (they even have treats available for dogs!! ). We only stopped by for a quick visit but we'll definitely be back for more beers at another time

All outside sitting and Covid protocols followed. Easy ordering and paying system via barcodes and friendly hosts. Beer variety was also good and served our purpose. Would like to come back again when it is a bit warmer so we don't need the outside heaters.

This is a great new'ish to me neighborhood spot. They just celebrated their 1 year anniversary, which nicely coincides with the rise of several nearby apartment buildings. I hope that means they'll be here for the long haul! What to get there? They have 14-16 beers on tap all the time; I favor the lighter beers like pilsners or weissbeer but if you want double IPAs they've got that too. There are trivia night and game nights a few times a month (follow them on instagram @tigerstaproom to find the dates), and food options Tuesday through Sunday. My favorites are East Oakland Smoke on Thursdays and D.O.G. hot dogs on Sundays, but I'm looking at Street Steam Bunz on Fridays as my next thing to try. Tuesdays is La Santa Torta, Wednesdays Las Marianas, and Saturdays DCQUE BBQ. So something for everyone. Enjoy!

Then, you gotta do everything yourself. Keeping in mind the pricing and you would at least think you wouldn't have to get your own water?? And God forbid you want a separate tab, becasue now your ordering for yourself through a qr code like its doordash, just to find out that the website doesn't work when trying to pay, then they have the audacity to ask for a tip on the website?? Who am I tipping if I did everything myself? Anyways, we ended up just ordering through the waiter. I know that the restaurant is like this rustic millennial burger spot where they do odd stuff but this really threw me off. On top of this, I came with an elderly and when she asked for a water the waiter pretty rudely told her that it was self serving. Maybe this is nitpicking, and maybe we just got a bad apple, but our waiter seemed very unprofessional and spoke to us like we bullied him in high school. Additionally, while ordering, damn near the whole menu was out of stock. You would think that the two dollar charge for every ingredient added on your pizza would pay for some pesto. The menu is already not that big and suddenly it was reduced to only a couple of items. I would maybe understand if we had come later, but it was 4pm. Now for the famous outdoor seating, if you REALLY want to go here, please just eat inside. Yes it was cute, but leaves and seeds were constantly falling into our hair, drinks, and food. Maybe it would've been nicer to have lids on your cups so you weren't literally drinking around Lord-knows-what in your cup. Hopefully the seeds from the trees have protein, because I know I ate some. Finally, about the actual food, I will say that it was pretty good, and it came quickly! However, a burger from in n out or a pizza from blaze pizza is around the same quality for a more reasonable price. As for the pizza, it was pretty good and able to be shared with 2-3 people. Just avoid the "spicy" fries because they are just regular fries drowing in paprika lol. Overall, there are so many other cute spots like this around so just go to one of those.

I discovered Almanac's brews around the pandemic times, trying them in cans when we were all dining outdoors for over a year. I think Almanac's brews are good, but I just don't love them. There's no strong pull for me, but everyone is different, so just a personal preference in taste. But this spot is pretty cool. For being in this communal food hall, this is the only tenant that has a space with it's own walls. All other tenants are in plain view in the main space. If you sit in Almanac's space, then you will be separated from the rest of the food hall. But you can take their beer anywhere in the designated food hall. And/or you can take food from the other stalls inside here. Very nice flexibility. No servers, order at the counter. Not sure if you can start a tab, but most places do by leaving a card/number. I only had one beer to go with a burger from another stand, but we ate in Almanac's seating area, which are all communal heavy wooden bench seating. Cool spot that I would revisit for sure.
