Its great here! Super chill, clean & lots of space! Good beer & ciders. All the staff seemed helpful & friendly! Really cool spot with tons of TVs for sports.

The final brewery of my recent trip was Alameda Brewing, in the downtown area. This one has been around a long time and has won many awards so I figured it'd be worth a stop. I had a mixed experience here. The location was nautical themed but not near the water. It was kind of cold, both temperature and metaphorically. Regardless, the two things that matter most: beer and service, were both great. I had a flight of some lighter styles and enjoyed them all. I also got wings from their partner spot next door and loved them. This place had a nice local feel with the music and customers, but wasn't the experience I thought.

I stopped here to meet my family here while they were in town for a quick stop. We had beers and ordered some food from Monkey King next door. I had an IPA and a michelada, both were delicious. This brewery is easy for me to get to and always a good vibe whenever I stop in! Cheers!

Still my favorite brewery on the island! Okay yes, I am too lazy to drive to spirit alley/naval base, etc... Unless I am entertaining. Quality/Quantity - My favorite. You KNOW it's good when they DON'T have a happy hour. Can I suggest a happy hour? LOL. I have not been here in a while, where did all my favorites go?!?! Ambers are back to my favorite beers here! But none today... My other favorite go-to beers are the Sea Haggis, Scotch Ale; too bad they only come in 12 oz glasses... A slightly lighter beer in the same category as the "Control, ALT, Delete" and you can get this in a pint. But again, NONE today as my go-to beers were out of stock?!?! So today I got the "F... Cancer" IPA - As with many (if not all) of their beers, it was smooth. Well, I ended up having a few of them, lol. See pictures. Atmosphere - Counter service only. But today I sat at the bar. It might be my first time at the actual bar?!?! Indoor/outdoor seating. Limited parking behind the building, but always plenty of street parking. Today was their first craft event with 25-27 vendors, see pictures. So NO parking lot today. Now open 7 days a week, see pictures. I think the last time I was here, you were closed on Mondays! Food next door - Monkey King at the Brewery and the newest addition, Fikscue BBQ, well not new any more. I also like the fact that they support local artists, see pictures of current artists. Also game friendly, when I come with my daughter. Service - 6 stars. I do not usually come on weekends (to avoid crowds), and I do not usually sit at the bar. Rob is a part time teacher and part time employee here. He was the BEST!!! What a cool, fun, and personable guy! I might come on weekends just to hang out with him. The other team members were good also, but Rob stands out! Price - $8 a beer + generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2015. I watched you build this location with much anticipation and excitement. Sometimes I see that your beers are at Costco.

We had an amazing private event here during the weekend. Their warehouse is the perfect place for a bigger gathering - we had about 65 people and there was plenty of room for 9 tables, two for food, beer pong, corn hole, and room to spare. Price point was great considering the rental came with a private bartender with three beers on tap. Kyle was super helpful and friendly setting things up for us. If you are having a party and your guests love having a good time, I couldn't recommend Alameda Brewing enough. Oh, and the beer is pretty great too!

One of their stouts - enjoyed with bbq from next door

4++ Pretty good selection of styles and different beers on tap with friendly folks helping you. The tap room is a pretty good size. There are also some televisions that have some sports on (at least the time I was there with some friends and family). Earlier in the day, I can only assume good part of the crowd are people who ordered BBQ next door and brought it over to this location to have beers with the delicious BBQ (this was the reason why we were over here at least). Because of that, the vibe seemed pretty lively in the early part of the day. After grabbing our large BBQ order from next door, we all came over here and grabbed a table here and were ready to order a bunch of their beers. I personally ordered one of their stouts and a hazy IPA. Both were pretty tasty and was good paired with what we were eating. There's also a fridge full of stuff you can purchase and take with you. All in all a great brewery in a great location. Parking was easy enough early in the day. I have a feeling if you know your way around the neighborhood, you can easily find lot parking or parking in general.

Fantastic brewery 10/10. Everything is fresh and having no the food nearby is fantastic Great selection and also great company overall!

Great vibes all around with an industrial-style interior. They've got pinball tables for fun and Monkey King Pub right next door, which makes for a solid combo. The food, usually garlic noodles, pairs perfectly with the beer. I had the West Coast IPA and it was smooth and easy to drink. Service: Friendly and relaxed Food: Garlic noodles and beer make a great combo Ambiance: Industrial interior with pinball tables and a fun, laid-back energy 8/10 Chill spot with smooth beer, good food, and great atmosphere

"I am Gruit, Sarap!, Ube Area - 3 or 5 flight option
    Cheryl M.

Friends and I happened to stop here after ordering Fikscue Craft BBQ. Alameda Brewing doesn't offer food but they allow outside food as long as you support and order a beverage which is great! This visit I ordered the Build Your Own Flight: option of 3 or 5. I couldn't decide which but the guy at the counter, Patrick was helpful, friendly, made some recommendations and ended up with Ube Ale, Calamansi Pilsner and Its a Gruit which was a good try considering I'm not a beer drinker. I would say the Calamansi was my fave of the 3 as it had a hint of citrus. Plenty of beer options along with "not beers" (Michelada, mimosas), canned sodas and custom seltzers. So something for everyone. Place is great to hang out with friends, watch sports while dining on food from next door (Fikscue and Monkey King Pub). Definitely a chill spot with families and pets.

Lots of TVs in here to watch a game. A lot of "on tap" beers to try.

Fun place to come to try out local beers. Lots of televisions to watch game. Very friendly people serving you your brew.

Alameda Island Brewery is a great place to hang out with friends or socialize. They have a big dining area with lots of space and one big screen TV to watch the game. The dining area was nice and open due to all the big open windows. They also have a large selection of draft beers to choose from which I like. They brew their own beer as well which I have yet to try. They have some flights they can offer. I did try a sampler of a unique beer that was 5% called 'Sarap' meaning good in Tagalog. It was on draft. It's a hint of calamansi in it. It was actually good! I will have to get that again next time. The guy at the counter was cool and friendly. Looks like they share the space with the Fikscue Craft BBQ next door as long as you buy their beers. Which we did! Prices are decent as well. Not a bad place to hang out, and just drink and chill. I know I will be back here again! [36R,2024]

I didn't get a chance to order food as I was there just to get a beer while we wait for a barbecue from next-door. I had a idea easy IP earlier and it was good Rob, one of the bartenders recommended the locals only. So that's what I'm drinking now and it's good as well. They have a ton of leather Alameda brewing Company. Options press a couple others things. We do have a food menu. I think it's cool that they allow people who order from next-door barbecue to sit in their restaurant as long as they order drinks. I love the vibe in the community ambience.

Ask the Community - Alameda Brewing

If I'm there can I buy individual cans or do I have do buy a 4 pack? I like the flexibility of buying a mixed 4 pack instead of buying 4 of something I'm not sure I'd like?

Hi James, we don't offer individual cans for sale but we do have a mixed 4-pack available. We also offer a "build your own" 6-pack for even more variety. Both of these options are available in our taproom and on our website. Cheers 🍻

Is your IPA available in stores? If so , where?

Hi Jack, you can find our selection of IPA's in various stores such as Beverages & More, Gourmet Cellars, and Estudillo Produce. If you're looking for a specific IPA you can email our general inbox for more details.

    Do u have trivia nights?

Hi Mimi, we currently hold trivia nights on Tuesdays from 7pm-9pm. Cheers!

    Are dogs allowed here?

Hi Sara, dogs are allowed on our patio and inside of our tasting room. We do ask that they be on leash and with you at all times. Cheers

Is there a jazz jam on Tuesday nights? What time? I saw on their website now can't find a music schedule.

Hi Donna! We do not have a jazz jam on Tuesday nights but we do have live music every few months on the weekends. You can always find our upcoming events on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Cheers!

If I were to go here on a Tuesday night would I be able to do some work on my laptop while I enjoy a few beers?

Yes, there is a new public WiFi now in that area of Alameda.

It's tucked away in an unassuming neighborhood, but once inside, the cozy, rustic atmosphere really adds to the experience. We ordered the pretzel, bratwurst, and chicken schnitzel. The portions were generous especially the schnitzel, which was huge and easily shareable. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. The curry beer cheese sauce paired especially well with the pretzel, with just a slight bitterness that complemented the bread nicely. One thing to note for anyone who doesn't eat pork: the roasted potatoes contain bacon. I didn't realize that when ordering, so I just picked it out. The pickled vegetables were a pleasant surprise. they were tangy and refreshing without being overly salty. For dessert, we shared the German chocolate cake. It was rich, decadent, and a very generous slice. My husband also really enjoyed the beer selection, which had plenty of German options to choose from. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back. As a bonus, even my toddler loved his chicken schnitzel and nearly finished the whole thing, which says a lot!

They actually have several varieties and I've really appreciated how they use a different spirit for each! I won't review every single one, but you can't go wrong based on what flavor profile you want. They're all relatively sophisticated, balanced, spirit-forward, and consistently well made. The rest of the cocktail menu is equally thoughtful. Complex, creative, and well executed without trying too hard or going over the top with flavors or presentation. The food is delicious as well although we're usually just here for drinks before/after a meal. More small bites than full meals, but everything we've had has been tasty and pairs well with the drinks.
