TL;DR:
Don't waste your time or money. I hired Tiger Cleaning Services for a move-out cleaning on September 29th, and it was a complete disaster. They showed up late, did a sloppy, rushed job that even the owner admitted was unacceptable, and I ended up paying another company $575 to fix their mess.
Prior to Booking:
My landlord provided a detailed list of cleaning requirements for moving out. I sent this list to multiple cleaning companies to confirm what they could handle. Other companies were transparent about their limitations--which I appreciated. But Adriano, the owner of Tiger Cleaning, assured me multiple times that his team could do everything, including carpet cleaning.
Since I'd booked them before for a deep clean and had a decent experience, I decided to give them another try. The quoted price was $500 total ($420 for cleaning + $80 for carpet cleaning), about $75 cheaper than a competitor. Scheduled for 11:00 AM.
Day of Cleaning:
The cleaners arrived 30 minutes late. Fine--things happen. I realized I'd overlooked a small carpeted landing (3x3 ft) and nine carpeted stairs, for which they asked an additional $150, later reduced to $110 (remember this).
I was present most of the day, going to and from storage, as I had moved everything to the lawn so the house was empty for the cleaners. Around 6:54 PM, I left the house with the movers. Not even ten minutes later, Adriano texted that the cleaners were finished and asked me to check their work. I'll admit, this is where I share some fault. I told him I had just left--literally ten minutes ago--and couldn't turn back because I needed to meet the movers at the storage unit. I had been at the house for the last hour and even spoke with the cleaners right before leaving, yet they never once mentioned that they were almost done. Had they simply told me, I absolutely would have stayed. I re-sent the checklist and asked Adriano to make sure his team reviewed it carefully to confirm everything had been completed properly.
Against my better judgment, I sent payment and a tip through Zelle after confirming with a friend that I ubered to the house, who did a quick, surface-level check. Admittedly, he wasn't the most detail oriented person, but that was the best I could do in the moment.
I popped back in briefly after returning from storage, and on the surface, it looked fine. But I didn't have much time--my toddlers needed to be fed and put to bed at the new place--so I couldn't do a thorough walkthrough. Had I known how poor the cleaning really was, I would've stayed and inspected every inch right then.
The Next Day:
When I finally looked closely, I was horrified. Filthy baseboards. Cobwebs on walls and ceilings. Greasy stove. Dirty floors. Unwiped counters. Dust everywhere. They cut corners in even the most obvious spots.
I sent extensive photos to Adriano, and even he agreed the work was unacceptable. He offered to have the cleaners return on October 1st, but I explained I only had access until September 30th at which point it would be turned over to the landlord, and new tenant. His only response was essentially, "Well, you shouldn't have approved the job." No ownership. No solution. No partial refund. Just excuses.
I'll own my part--I made the mistake of having someone else confirm the cleaners' work instead of double-checking everything myself. But the reality is, I was at the house for most of the day, staying outside so I wouldn't be in their way, and I left literally minutes before they said they were done. They knew I was leaving with the movers; I had even told them to call me if anything came up. If they were that close to finishing, why not just tell me so I could wait a few extra minutes? That simple courtesy could have prevented this entire mess.
I did what I could to touch up a few missed areas, but with two young kids to look after and a tight move-out deadline, there was only so much I could manage on my own.
Ultimately, the landlord had to hire a second company--at my expense--to get the house cleaned properly for the next tenant.
Final Cost:
Tiger Cleaning: $500 + $120 carpet cleaning + tip
Replacement cleaning: $575
= $1,195+ lost, plus time and stress.
Remember my earlier mention of $110? To add insult to injury, Tiger Cleaning pocketed $10 from my tip, quietly increasing the carpet cleaning charge without notice.
Bottom Line:
This company lacks professionalism, attention to detail, and integrity. They misrepresented their abilities, communicated poorly, and delivered shockingly low-quality work. The owner's customer service was dismissive at best. If you care about quality or accountability, do yourself a favor and stay far away from Tiger Cleaning Services. read more
