    Casual, chill vibes. Friendly staff and service. Downside is that it's further up on the ave. Solid food but even better when drinking. So Maek Tower - I'm not a big beer guy but I'll drink it. Overwhelming beer taste but it's definitely strong. Probably served around 6-8 cups. Sweet and Spicy Chicken - we were starving and demolished this so I snagged a pic halfway through. These were some pretty fat pieces of chicken so lots of meat to work with. Juicy and tender as well. Honestly, they might be contenders for top wings on the ave though it's hard to say. Pork Kimchi Tofu - a little bit of everything, there's a blend of textures and flavors to hit every taste bud. Spicy or mild, soft or chewy, you'll feel a bit healthy ordering this. Probably tasted even better being buzzed but it's also good food in the system to handle alcohol better.

    Note that Tig IS OPEN at FULL DINE-IN CAPACITY and for TAKEOUT! My friends and I came here Monday evening, the hottest day ever recorded in Seattle, for some cold drinks and late night snacks. The five of us had originally planned at meeting at Earls, but Earls was closed due to the extreme heat. While this place didn't have A/C, we all had a great experience and are glad that we found a new place to hang out on The Ave. Tig has about 10-12 tables plus a bar area which I don't think was open for seating. It's fairly dark and they have multiple TV screens that constantly play K-Pop music videos. The music isn't super loud though, so you can definitely still have a conversation with the people around you! My one comment is that the floors are fairly sticky, but I guess that goes for any bar on The Ave. We started off with one round of B-52 shots (kahlua, amaretto, and Malibu I think set on fire) ($9 each), and one soju beer tower. As far as food, we ordered one plate of the spicy pork belly and one whole Korean fried garlic and pepper chicken to share. We also ordered a pitcher of Rainier later on in the night to cool our mouths down from the chicken. Tig also offers unlimited complimentary Kirkland water bottles for guests. The B-52 shots were good and definitely a fun experience. The shots were very sweet (due to the kahlua and amaretto) and tasted like dessert in a glass. When lit on fire, they looked like tea candles! The soju beer tower was smooth and sweeter than regular beer. It has Hite soju mixed with I think rainier. We were able to get 7 servings out of the tower. Food was also very good. The spicy pork belly was spicy, but not overly spicy. It was stir fried with mushrooms and onions and came with a side of rice. If you come here though, you MUST order the Korean Garlic Pepper Fried Chicken!!!! I don't even usually like fried chicken, but this was THE BEST fried chicken I've ever had. The whole chicken was more than enough for the five of us and the sixteen pieces were HUGE (sorry Chi Mac, but wings don't cut it for me). The garlic pepper chicken was crispy and had a sweet and spicy garlic honey sauce which was to die for. Service was good considering there was only one hostess/waitress for the entire restaurant during our stay. The poor waitress never got a break and was constantly on her feet taking orders and serving guests. I think there was also limited kitchen staff as well because when we tried to order a round of Lychee shots, she said it would take a very long time and so we got the pitcher of Rainier instead. She was very sweet and informative though so make sure to leave her a generous tip if you go! Overall: 5/5 for food/drinks, 4.5/5 for service, 4.5/5 for atmosphere

    Once in a blue moon. My friends and I will randomly come here to satisfy our food craving. It was freaking packed in here when we went and busy as hell but manage to snag a table for 5 by annoying the staff. There were so many tables and so few staff. Foods okay as it is still a bar. I really enjoyed the creamy seafood udon, had a good garlic flavor. Corn cheese is a must and my friends were surprised by how small it was, they said it use to be bigger in portion but I didn't mind. Just had to order two. They also ordered two kinds of wings. I only ate the black pepper and garlic and that was pretty good. Didn't try the cream onion cus the sauce was a bit sweet for my liking. The staff helping us was nice, we also understand it was really loud and busy so couldn't really say anything negative in terms of his service. He did what he could. Probably won't come here on a weekend again haha.

    Review based on drinks alone One of my friends (name starts with an L) recommended me this place as she frequently comes here often and apparently knows the owner. They have a very large selection of drinks and shots, with some that are quite unique! I personally got the B-52 shot which lights on fire which is super cool. It's quite sweet but it gets more and more bitter and stronger alcohol-wise which would've been better the other way around. Regardless, for a shot, I really enjoyed it. They give you a straw to drink maybe because the drink can get quite hot after you blow out the fire. My other friends got some cocktails and enjoyed it, and they are pretty affordable compared to a standard restaurant cocktail. It is definitely a great place to drink, on a student budget.

    The food was terrible as takeout. We got the Sotteok Sotteok and Rose Tteokbokki last weekend. The rose tteokbokki sauce tasted like nothing. We tried to save the dish by adding 3-4 tablespoons of gochujang but even then it wasn't salvaged. I don't recommend this spot for takeout! Only for dine in and drinks.

    if you love being around drunk people and/or being drunk yourself and korean food, then this is a place for you! i came friday midnight and the place was packed and loud! i witnessed a lot 3 tables spill their drinks! lmao! anyways, back to the food. the portions were huge. - spicy rice cake: 4/5 it was SPICY. weird addition of a hash brown but not complaining - corn cheese: 5/5 it was covered in layers and layers of cheese! love! - spicy seafood soup: 3/5 low score for the teeny tiny shrimps, squid, and mussels.. some of the mussels tasted old? food came out fast :-)

    solid 4 stars tldr; (mostly) delicious food, great alc, slow but friendly service :) I've visited tig a few times over the course of the past year - it was a favorite for me and my friends at one point. we always get the sweet potato fries, chicken, somaek tower, and yakult soju ! All are really great. The fries are perfectly sweet and crunchy, and so is the chicken. they also provide water and the appropriate shot glasses for each beverage. Some nights, the glasses are chilled which is even better. On a recently visit, my friends and I branched out to get the fried chicken gizzard and the sotteok (rice cake + sausage) The chicken gizzard was actually quite delicious, but the sotteok was really underwhelming. The rice cake was under cooked + the sausage is not the type of sausage typically used in sotteok back in Korea :/ We still really enjoyed the evening! Lastly, service is a bit slow most days because it's super busy, but everyone is very friendly and kind :)

    Had a late night craving of korean fried chicken. Got the garlic and pepper half chicken and it did not disappoint. Definitely will be back!

I wish they could put some beef/fish with that and call it a day. One of my favorite fried rice preparation I've had, but hey, I'm a sucker for squid ink. Would definitely come back here next time I'm in Seattle. Next time would sub the steak for the seafood jeon or branzino, however really nice meal otherwise. Compared favorably to other elevated Asian cuisine I've had (Joule in Seattle, Goosefeather in Tarrytown NY, Danji in NYC).

The tofu was so yummy, and the bean sprouts were so crunchy and well seasoned. We even asked for extra! The only aspect that makes it difficult to come more often is the price point.
