The store was very clean but the person working that day may have been having a bad day, but they had an indifferent attitude the entire time. They weren't really friendly; I just felt uncomfortable the entirety of our visit. They had 6 different cheesecake flavors, and for $15 a piece, I didn't want to just buy anything, but I felt rushed, as did my husband. Within the 5-8 minutes of us trying to decide, they asked like 3 times if we were ready when it was very obvious we were not. I was just very disappointed with the interaction, given that we had driven quite the distance. Now for what we got, we decided on the pandan coconut cheesecake, ube cheesecake, and my husband got a mango tart. These cheesecakes are very much on the subtlety sweet side, and the same goes for the flavor. It resembles more of a pound cake than a traditional cheesecake that's creamy. They are very moist and airy. For the pandan coconut, I will say the pandan flavor is stronger than the coconut. At least for me, I got the pandan flavor first, then I got the coconut flavor at the end. On the slices that did have the shredded coconut I felt like the coconut flavor was stronger but the shredded coconut was not evenly distributed on the cheesecake since it was more for decorative purposes. The ube tasted just like what it said, nothing crazy. Very subtle sweetness and flavor. Now for the mango tart, to me, it just tasted like straight-up artificial mango flavor. There was nothing natural about it. I would not buy mango again. I only see myself going back in the future for a Basque cheesecake if I'm in the area.

I wasn't planning on buying cookies, but the sweet smell coming from Tiff's Treats in Katy practically grabbed me by the hand and walked me inside. One sample later, my wallet was open and I was officially in COOKIE HEAVEN. For National Cookie Day, customers were invited to sample different cookie flavors, vote for their favorite, and receive a free cookie for participating. Not only did you get to enjoy the samples, but you also got a free cookie of your choice and helped crown the winning cookie flavor for the year. That's my kind of election! The sample lineup included: Chocolate Chip Double Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Chocolate Chip Pecan Now let me tell you, my heart belongs to the Chocolate Chip Pecan. It had the perfect balance of buttery dough, melty chocolate chips, and crunchy pecans. Every bite tasted homemade and fresh from the oven. The biggest surprise of the day though was the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip. I saw "oatmeal" and immediately prepared myself to start picking out raisins. Imagine my delight when there weren't any! Instead, it was soft, chewy, rich, and packed with chocolate. It was a delicious twist on a classic oatmeal cookie and quickly became a close second favorite. One thing that really stood out was the customer service. Before I even got to the cookies, I had a small dilemma of my own. I had placed an order but accidentally selected the wrong pickup date. Panic immediately set in because nobody wants to be separated from their cookies. Thankfully, one of the associates stepped in right away and helped fix everything with kindness, patience, and a smile. That's the kind of service that keeps customers coming back. Great cookies will get people through the door, but great customer service is what turns first-time visitors into loyal customers. The staff made me feel welcomed from the moment I walked in, and their positive attitudes made the experience even sweeter. I can only speak for this particular location, but I have also ordered delivery online. The staff at this particular Tiffs Treats is amazing. They're super friendly, and they don't mind chatting about why I only saw the red velvet cookies one time and there were only 2 and I had a Tiffwich that was the tastiest thing I've ever had and haven't had anything like it since. FYI. Red velvet is only on January in case you were wondering. The snickerdoodle cookies and the chocolate chip Tiffwiches are the frickin best. If you order delivery they're delivered warm. Around Valentine's Day they have red velvet cookie dough batter bites (distinguish from the actual red velvet cookies seen in January) that are covered in chocolate and sprinkles. And they're awesome. They do last minute deliveries, even around holidays like Valentine's. You'll pay a premium but it's worth it. If I could invest in a place like this and start up one in my hometown I think I'd be a millionaire. read more
