If she is into simple and nice, she will love anything from Tiffany's collection. The sterling silver stuff will run you around $200, but depending on what you buy you could spend more. The gold and jeweled collections are uber-pricey so don't go to that side. Tiffany Costa Mesa was the first Tiffany I had ever been to, and the first place I ever received a gift from a boyfriend. Hence I hold a lot of sentimental value with (at?) this particular store. I have also purchased stuff for my mom and gf's here too. It's so nice! I love simple jewelry from here. I'm the kind of guy who'll buy just about half the store if I had the cash, but still end up buying something nice even though my credit card wouldn't be too happy about it. I love the attentive and really professional service we received here. We didn't purchase the most expensive thing in the line, but were treated with respect and courtesy through out our purchase without being hassled to for any extras. The only drawback was having to have the necklace shipped back to NYC to have it engraved with what we wanted. Just took a little longer for my GF at the time to get it, but worth it once we did. Some people will whine and say it's overpriced, but to me, treating me like royalty, and having the products to back up the prices, is worth it in my opinion. Maybe it seems a bit of consumer driven name brand addiction, but I enjoy their jewelry designs, find the quality is generally very good with delicate work and the sight of that robin's egg blue box makes me squeal like a little girl. (Non-deliverance style, thank God.) The service here is exemplary unless you're in the diamonds section without a man- then they tend not to give you the time of day, snooty suits. But I've always had great service in the silver (cheap) section no matter how I was dressed or who I was with. Went in to replace the chain of a necklace the other day and they packed the replacement in a little box, tied it with the ribbon and into its own little robin's egg blue bag it went. Yes, I gave a little mental squeal when I opened it, even knowing what was inside was only $26. What? Can't a girl have some fun? Jewelry cleaning is EXPENSIVE here. My sister had the Tiffany's interlocking gold and silver necklace cleaned and it was about $100. Could have bought half a new necklace. And their online ordering is only free shipping with orders over $300. Really? They can't afford shipping at the prices they charge? But I love their silver cleaning solution that you can get from them for under $20. Cloth and solution works like a charm on all my silver stuff and even my white gold. Plus, it's an easy place for guys to not go wrong for a gift. When K had our puppy walk up to me with a little blue box hanging by its white ribbon in her mouth, did I care what was inside? Maybe I'm just lucky? Maybe I was wearing something nice that day (probably not), or maybe I just look like I know what I'm doing, but every time I have walked in this store, I'm always acknowledged. Honestly, I'm just a broke college student, trying to find my way to a nice present for my big sis, and the service was prime here. They would always ask me if I needed to look at anything, or if I needed help finding certain jewelry, which I definitely appreciate. I know for a fact that high-end/brand name stores, especially well-known jewelry stores USUALLY only acknowledge those who look financially well-off, or dress like they have money, but I really did not feel judged in this store. If you go to this particular Tiffany's on a weekend, and looking to buy silver...it's no bueno. There are entirely too many tourists, and hard to get someone to help you out. Seriously, it's a lot of people, asking to look, but not buy. Well, I guess that's a lot of the high-end stores. Once you do manage to nab an associate who works there, they give you all their attention, and they totally don't judge, which I think is great. Today, I was shopping at South Coast Plaza anyway so I decided to do some window shopping and decided to browse at Tiffany & Co. I was treated exceptionally well. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful. When I first walked in I was greeted by this nice guard and I made a joke about how my name is Tiffany so I have to browse Tiffany & Co. The guard told me to make myself at home. How nice was that? The gentleman at one of the counters offered to let me try on some of the extremely gorgeous pieces that are not college student budget friendly . So for fun, I tried on these rings that I loved but have to finish college and get my dream job to be able to afford. I felt like a celebrity! There is so much to look at in this store. It is pretty big. I enjoyed looking in all the cases and loved the Diamond Gallery. They had some amazing big gaudy engagement rings that are totally my style. Bring on the bling. Prince Charming, I haven't met you yet, and this is crazy but, come find me and propose to me with a ring from Tiffany's. When I have extra money I can waste I will definitely come back and get some jewelry. My boyfriend got me a silver necklace with a thin chain. I broke the chain twice. First time was 2 days after I received the necklace, and second time was about 10 days before 1 year warranty was up. First time when the chain broke, we took it back to Tiffany's and they replaced it with no questions asked. The second time I took it in, they had to ship it out to get it fixed, which took about 2 weeks. However since it was still under 1 year warranty, they fixed it and polished it free of charge. My significant other and I came in with very low expectations as to what Tiffany's could do in repairing a ring we had purchased well over a year ago at the Tiffany's in Wailea. Kathleen Nguyen in the customer service department of this Tiffany's location was beyond amazing on my recent trip to the store. She located our transaction in a timely matter as well as made a quick decision to allow us to replace my boyfriend's small atlas silver ring versus having it sent out to New York and repaired. We truly came in with just the hopes of possibly being pointed in the direction of someone who could possibly fix the ring but she outright offered to replace it completely. Our ring was a mere $175 but the fact that it was more valuable to the store to have us walk away as happy customers is something I will walk away with appreciating for the rest of my life. My boyfriend and I both currently work at another retailer that prides itself on providing exceptional customer service, it warms me deeply to know that Tiffany & Co feels the same about their customers. From the warm, genuine greeting we got at the front door, to the timely matter someone greeted us while the store remained busy, down to Kathleen's impeccable service to us both, our overall shopping experience was seamless. I love this location because it's huge and the service is almost always superb. They're very friendly and attentive. I love the selection and how they'll let me try on the super expensive rings that cost as much as a house. A girl can dream can't she? I fell in love with this place watching "Breakfast at Tiffany's" as a little girl. The only Tiffany's I've ever been to were in San Francisco and Palm Desert. The pieces my boyfriend had gotten me were all from Palm Desert when he worked in the area, so when I would visit I would always get my jewelry cleaned for free. I thought that was always the case. My boyfriend and I were in Orange County for the day, so we decided to go to this Tiffany and Co. in South Coast Plaza. I've never been to this mall (and it is now one of my favorites, second to Westfield/Bloomingdales in San Francisco) but we went so we can hopefully get my jewelry cleaned, especially since I was wearing both of them. We were very impressed by how big the store was - thinking it was in a mall, we thought it would be much smaller than the Palm Desert branch! Anyway, when we went inside, we were greeted immediately and a lot of the employees were very friendly and approachable! However, to get my jewelry cleaned here apparently costs $15 per piece. So I opted for the cleaning products instead. This woman had came to me and my boyfriend and she was INCREDIBLY helpful. She gave us some insight on the Silver Polish that I was interested in getting and how she used it. I ended up buying the polish for $10 and a replacement silver polishing cloth for $5. Boom. $15, and I can clean my jewelry anytime. The polish is AMAZING, btw. Highly recommend. My boyfriend and I are both young adults, yet we were treated with the utmost respect. I was allowed to try on rings and was never once made to feel as though I was wasting the salesperson's time. Although they said, "you know we do proposals in the store" a few times to the boyfriend, very subtle T&Co haha. I have a few other pieces from T&Co in sterling silver that I have received as gifts over the years. They are great quality, have remained unchanged, and are still beautiful of course. I once caught my necklace once and pulled down hard by accident, it has a very thin chain, yet it still remained in one piece around my neck. My mom came in here to exchange a bracelet for a larger size and I overheard two of the ladies who work there speaking negatively about her (one lady with a Tiffany blue scarf wrapped around her and an up-do and another lady with dark hair and bangs). I believe the lady with the scarf was a manager (who obviously needs more training in customer service). The lady with bangs also tried to sell her a much more expensive bracelet. Today we visited to repair a bracelet I had bought for the Dearest over 7 years ago. We were directed by the Greeter to Customer Service, a small office discreetly off to the side of their store. At customer service, we sat face to face with a Tiffany's Associate on comfy slipper chairs. After determining that the bracelet could not be repaired there, the Associate filled out our customer profile, gave us a minimal fee ($25), photographed the bracelet, and verified previous engravings on the bracelet. The bracelet was shipped to New Jersey for repair. After being given copies of all documents, we were asked to return when they email us an order of completion. I have purchased many pieces from this location and my most recent trip here left me with a poor taste in my mouth. The sa that "assisted" me wasn't much help at all and was very rude. I came in looking to buy a few bracelets and earrings. I got the impression that she didn't want to work with me because anytime I asked for something or if there was other options for items I was quickly cut off with a no. There were a couple of items that were sold out and instead of offering another item that was similar, she would sharply say "no" without elaborating further. I'm not sure if that's was just how she was or if she was trying to get rid of me because she didn't think I was a big fish. Either way, she lost a rather large sale as I left not wanting her to get the commission. I just checked the website and I looks like all the items I wanted to purchase are in fact in stock at this location so I will be purchasing online. I didn't get her name but she had black hair that was pulled half way up, thin, about 5'7" and looked middle eastern (couldn't tell because of the mask) I believe her name began with an A but I could be wrong. Two things come to mind when I hear "Tiffany and Co." It's either 1), Breakfast at Tiffany's (with Audrey Hepburn), or it's 2) Moulin Rouge's rendition of "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend". Consequently, the bf, over the years, has heard me say something along the lines that every girl wants something from Tiffany. So, after being together for almost 10 years, he surprised me with a Tiffany pendant for Christmas. He bought it online, though, and didn't realize that he would also need to purchase the chain separately. This led to a few jokes at his expense, but it was still a win-win situation because we got to visit the Costa Mesa location! First and foremost, the bf and I are not really the type of people who would normally go to a jewelry shop, especially high-end ones like Tiffany & Co. We visited on a Saturday evening, and they still had a good number of people browsing the shop. There were a few people that asked if we needed anything, and we just smiled and politely declined while I was drooling at the pretty pieces. Eventually, we got to the key pendant section, found the one that he had purchased, and someone asked if we needed any help. Perfect timing, honestly. The bf told Amit the story, and Amit chuckled as if it wasn't the first time that someone came into the store needing to buy a chain for a pendant purchased online. We asked his opinion on what chain would be best, and he produced a 20-inch chain that he thought would look best. He asked what I thought (because the chain would be for me), and I described it as "loopy". Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I have a graduate degree and I described a necklace as "loopy". Needless to say, that got a good laugh, and he proceeded to show other chains and had me physically try them on. Long story short, I tried two more and then went back to the "loopy" chain because it sincerely looked the best. Eh, I should've figured to trust the guy the first time. After being transferred 4 times to "someone else", they were at least courteous enough to send me to a voice recording (on the 5th transfer) that says "goodbye" before disconnecting the line. Update: So just call and don't mention ever exchanging and say purchasing and everything will be fine and no one will transfer. Then wait until the end and say you are exchanging. I wish I could give this place a perfect rating but there have been times where I've been given inaccurate information by an associate. I was told before they only carried gold and white gold, no sterling silver. When I was told this I felt like a complete idiot for asking for sterling silver only to find out later they have plenty of it. Yesterday my boyfriend bought me my very first Tiffany's. I got a pair of Tiffany & Co Silver 1837 Circle Round Stud Earrings. The associate was very friendly and patient. I got my ears pierced a couple months ago. I wear the earrings I got pierced with almost every day so my boyfriend thought it was time I get some earrings to wear other than those. Aside from Tiffany's setting the standard for diamonds & sterling silver this place will make any girls heart skip a beat. I tried on several pairs and had some trouble putting it on cuz i'm not used to putting earrings on. The associate never once showed impatience. When we purchased the earrings she talked to us about the proper care of the earrings. Each Tiffany's purchase also comes with a card in case the giver wants to write a note. My earrings came in a little blue box and a little blue pouch which is made from the same material that they recommend you polish your sterling silver with. Aside from the flagship store in New York this store leads in Tiffany sales all around the world. There are two entrances and the store is in a U shape. Five stars to their customer service! I needed to get two champagne flutes for a wedding gift, and all the Tiffs around my area don't sell them in stores. I called here and they said they typically do, but they weren't in stock at the moment. They offered to mail them to my house FOR FREE (saved me $15 for shipping if I ordered online) so I was ecstatic when I heard this. Saved me a trip from driving an hour to get them also! I ordered them on Friday July 11th, they just came yesterday July 15th! AMAZING :) Thank you so so much!
