Sometimes, I have to give an honest review! The service and ambiance were great. The drink I ordered was the smashed blueberry, it was strong and tasty. Seafood soup was delicious and had some chunks of lobster although pricey at $15. We also ordered gnocchi and cheese that had a creamy sauce. The arroz con pollo was bland and generic. It tasted like boiled shredded chicken, a few slices of packaged chorizo, a bag of mixed vegetables and a packet of Lipton chicken rice. It was flavorless. Skip the meal and just go for drinks. There are many restaurants in patchogue but this is definitely A MUST. From the atmosphere, to drinks, to food, to service, everything is top notch. I came here last night for a white coat celebration dinner and could not have been more impressed. The margaritas were to die for! For apps we got: the guacamole, tuna nachos, ceviche, and lobster stuffed clams. I loved everything but the ceviche was OUT OF THIS WORLD! For dinner I got the chicken fajitas...amazing. OMG get your butt down here...now. This place is amazing. I had the best salmon I have ever had. The saffron cream sauce and the potato cake that the salmon sit on top of is so incredibly flavorful. I've traveled all over the county and the level of flavor that came out of that dish is ridiculous. My husband had the skirt steak and said it was amazing. If you're debating coming here, just go, it's so good you can seriously taste the passion he puts into this food. He even came out to greet us after we raves about how amazing the food was. We love Tiestos. It's welcoming and the food is delicious,flavorful and so fresh--clearly prepared with great thought and love. You enter and its like your family. If you love fruit and salads -they are beyond and generously portioned. The chef often comes out to greet. His daughters know you like its Cheers. The wait staff is super friendly and warm. Chix Quesadillas are the best I've had. and the brunch burger with egg is my husbands go to. Soups are super too. All homemade. Margaritas are a wonder. Location is excellent away from busy main street, atmosphere is cozy and beautiful... the service is so friendly and welcoming - family owned from the Mom and the Dad in the kitchen to the sisters running the front of house. The food is excellent - we started with the empanadas homemade with sauces one the mom makes one the dad makes both delicious! I had an authentic Ecuadorian dish called chaulafan ... think friend rice meets paella. It was delicious - rice vegetables, sausage, shrimp and chicken with a zest lime sauce... our table also had braised short ribs excellent Cabernet braise, churrasco perfectly cooked and bandeja paisa also delicious. The chicharron is HUGE and so meaty! Drinks were awesome as well mango beer and a Hot and Dirty martini. Saved the best for last their blueberry cream cheese tacos were fantastic but the warm tres leached cake was the best I've had I could have licked the plate. We will definitely be back! read more

Last night we went to Tiesto's to celebrate my 75th birthday - on receiving my tab, I saw that the tipping suggestions section was circled. As I was about to put in the tip, I decided to look at the itemized list and found that they already included an 18% gratuity. First of all, I wasn't aware that a party of five was subject to an automatic tip and second, the circled tip section suggested that I needed to add another tip - I didn't and informed the waiter that I was ticked off for such an underhanded deception. It's a shame because the food was decent. Watch out for the sneaky deal. read more

Went here for first time tonight was my birthday, the food was delicious. The drinks $14 a piece little pricey for what you get. The dessert was also delicious. Definitely would try again, they add 18 per cent tip on tables of 5, so have to throw in extra to make 20per cent. read more

Second time I tried it and maybe I was spoiled by Blue Goose. Service was so slow. We came in asked if food was still being served (10 PM on a Friday) and the waitress said yes. We got a table (2 of us) she took 10 mins to come to our table introduce herself and ask what we wanted. I said we still looking at the drinks menu, we definitely want cocktails and (just so happens my husband went to the bathroom) we are hungry. Please get us water and we'll be ready when he gets back. He came back, another 10 minutes went by. The music is loud and they have a DJ which is great. The place was not busy and I do see our waitress just hanging by the kitchen corridor. We decided to get up and leave. On the way out she comes over and asks why we leaving and I responded I've been waiting for you and you haven't even brought us water. I can't imagine how long food would take. Then the security guy by the door asked why we leaving since we just got there and we told him we are locals and we wanted food and a couple of drinks. It's been 20 mins and we haven't even gotten water. Can't do this. I used to love going to Blue goose and being treated like family, always a good time. Great food, great drinks, very local-homie feeling, simply great. So sad those days are over and sorry Tiesto's but clearly you are driving locals and regulars to frequent other establishments . Big portions, staff were friendly and welcoming. Giving it 3 stars because our waitress seemed to be running around taking orders at the bar as well as serving our table so she may have forgotten about us at times. Chicken on the nachos was very dry, and the egg on my entree unfortunately had a very large eggshell which happened to be my first bite. Our drinks came in different glasses which were obvious in size and I ordered the same drink. If ordering shrimp with a salad just know you will be only getting 4 shrimp. read more

Not sure how this joint earned four stars from anyone. On a first (and last) visit few weeks back we decided to give them a try. I was not very hungry so I ordered nachos. What came out was this gigantic wooden board loaded with I guess what they consider nachos. I paid extra for shrimp to be added. I lost my appetite just looking at this thing. It was sticky and horrible. The shrimp were the size of my pinkie nail maybe smaller. I ate less than a quarter and told them to dump the rest. I would of loved a good glass of wine but all they had was Ecuadorian wine. I suppose that makes sense since it is an Ecuadorian restaurant. But in my opinion the wine I had was horrid. I think they should carry at least one or two California wines. Music in Spanish blasting and tv turned to a Spanish station showing soccer and narrated in Spanish. I suppose if they are looking to cater to a mostly Latin clientele that's fine. But this frequent diner will never go back read more

Everything was so amazing! We tried the seafood casserole, the Paella, the empanadas, they served family style size portions and it was absolutely delicious! First time visit and we won't be back. My husband and I were excited to try this place out since we live down the street. Sat at bar for happy hour ordered drinks and two appetizers' calamari and shrimp ceviche. Calamari just appeared to be a frozen kind that was reheated. The ceviche was nothing more than salsa with some shrimp on top of it. Bartender never asked us how our food was or if we wanted to order anything else. Ordered one more round of drinks, then got the check. Our empty plates sat in front of us until we left the restaurant. The staff was more worried about socializing behind the bar than taking care of the customers. At one point the bartender and staff were MIA for about 10 to 15 minutes. read more
