I have been a customer of the predecessor cleaners Craig's and MW Cleaners for over 20 years. Tide recently bought the location and appears to have fired almost all of the employees and hired new people. After getting great service for over 25 years today they tried to give me someone else's jacket. The bar code on the inside had my name. How is it even possible to happen. The clerk also failed to even realize that she had not given me 6 shirts. I requested she look and she could not find them. For the premium price Tide charges they should not be losing clothes and giving me other people's clothes. This location tumble dried never worn custom tailored suits from Q Clothier. Ruined the liners and pockets of the jackets. They then proceeded to tell me they didn't do anything wrong and that my jacket was of cheap quality. ($1,500.00 + for each jacket). I used them for the first time this week dropped off three cotton dresses Tuesday. I was asked if I wanted laundered or dry clean and I said laundered. She said it's $4 each & will be ready the next day after 6. I picked it up Thursday and she told me it's $82.03, I was shocked & pissed. What happened with the $4 a piece & she said it was dry cleaned & they're dresses. I am one & done with this dry cleaners. This was my first visit to your Tide Cleaners in Houston, TX, located at 5795 Woodway Rd. Houston, TX 77057. When I arrived yesterday, I dropped off 15 items, including pants and shirts. I specifically requested heavy starch, referred to as a "cowboy charge," which I learned from the staff. However, when I picked up my items today after paying $115.21, none of my shirts or pants were starched. To my surprise, the manager, Keanna Williams, was notably rude and disrespectful. If there was an issue with my request, it should have been communicated to me when I dropped off my clothes, giving me the option to go elsewhere. Instead, I was not informed of any issues. Now, I've paid $115.21 for nothing, as my pants are still wrinkled and my shirts are not in the condition I requested. I've had my clothes starched at other places without any issues, and I travel frequently. This experience has been very disappointing, especially due to the manager's attitude. She mumbled under her breath, "Hey, I did it, and that's the way it is," and walked away from me. I would not recommend this place. If I had checked the reviews beforehand, I never would have gone. They only have a 1.5-star rating, which is terrible. Save your money and go to a reliable cleaner that is upfront about what they can and can't do. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The last two times that I picked up my clothes, Tide Dry Cleaners gave me someone else's clothes mixed in with mine. They also charged me for it. They previously ruined approximately $1,000 in textiles and lied to me about needing my personal property so they could scientifically examine the material to determine the cause. I mean...they did a good job cleaning the clothes and they smell nice but why the heck is it so expensive?! The only reason I tried it was because I got a 50% off coupon in the mail and it was STILL $70 for my little bit of clothes. My girlfriend dropped off 3 shirts and jumpsuit to be cleaned. There were no prices posted but you figure dry cleaning for 4 small items wouldn't be a big deal. $48 and some change. $12 per item dry cleaned?? That is ridiculous. Tide dry cleaners acknowledged that my $250.00 Pottery Barn was 'gone' when I went to pick it up. I provided a photo and proof of price of my comforter in the hope of them finding it. This place does not care about handicapped people at all. Look at the picture I took, the Tide truck is clearly parked over the handicapped lines. These lines are necessary for those of us who need a ramp on the side of our van to load and unload a wheelchair. It is state law that these lines be kept clear. One of the spots is posted as handicapped only, the other spot only has a stencil on the ground. According to transportation code the only valid spot is the one with the sign on the post the other anyone can park on it. If the driver could have parked on the other side why did he have to park on the lines? People like these just don't care about the handicapped. Luckily there is another handicapped spot on the other side but still so disrespectful!! I use cleaners all across the USA while traveling and thought Tide would be Good, Wrong!! They do all their work at another plant outside of houston. This is just a drop off place. So, I was told they would be ready for pick up at 5pm. I walk in and they lost my shirt, made some calls and still couldn't find it. Never called the store to tell them. Next day I call any update, NONE!!. I call at 4pm they said O btw your shirt was ruined and we don't have a shirt for you. I'm suppose to be on stage at 8pm that night. They state- We will pay for it, you should receive a call from our customer service team. I got a phone call the next day and he states it will take 10-15 business days to get paid for my shirt. While I was on the phone I asked are y'all local owned and operated and he says No!! There is signs all over the front entrance about being locally owned and operated. I finally received my check for my shirt and it was from an address in Lubbock. Worse experience I've ever had with a cleaners. I asked on my first visit, and got a vague response about the price to clean a pair of jeans ('around $7'), but I had some coupons, I was a new customer, and they are close by, so I tried them. Good. I returned this week with two formal dresses that I plan to donate to a local high school(one long, one short). I again asked about pricing. Again vague. Admittedly, I was in a bit of a rush, but I know I would have remembered if they told me that the cost to clean one dress would be over $30! Alas, I return to pick up the dresses, along with three other items, and the total charge was over $84!!!! Wow--off to a bad start. Left my clothes for cleaning with MW Cleaners over the weekend in October. Came back on Monday to find that Tide Cleaners had taken over and one of my silk blouses was missing. Said the blouse was sent back for "extra work" and they would call me when it was ready. No call. I went back the next week and they said the blouse was missing. Manager Jesus said he would call me in a few days. No call. Went back again the next week and was told Jesus is out. I got the number of regional manager Christine Deal and called her. She said she was busy with Tide's takeover of multiple Texas businesses but would get back to me. No call. It has now been over a month and no response. MW Cleaners was great; Tide is not. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will not be back. read more

I have been coming here for 4 months and over that time period they have ruined 4 of my shirts, putting permanent black marks and burn holes in the shirts. Their machines are really rough on the shirts. The first time they ruined a shirt they offered a credit and gave me the shirt back, no big deal. The second time was a black mark they said let us redo it, it came back the same so I left it with them for them to try another method. They had to send it to an offsite location where it has been for over a month while they attempt to remove the black mark. I still don't have this shirt back. The third time I brought a shirt back they said I can give you credit but I have to keep the shirt. For me it isn't worth the credit because my shirts are custom fitted and take a while to order. I would rather have a ruined shirt than a credit to their dry cleaners where this reoccurring problem will continue. So I am left with 4 ruined shirts, one of which is still in their possession and they are left with one less customer and a bad review. read more
