Overpriced scam. Stay away from this cleaners! We always knew this place was too expensive - but, we found a nice coupon ($15 off a comforter) and decided to give them another try. Bad mistake. Tide refused to honor the coupon so we paid $50 to clean a comforter. Ridiculous, I know. In response, they told us the receipt was expired (it wasn't - it was from a Schnuck's receipt that was not a week old). Then, the manager told me it was a "fake" coupon. Again, it came off the back of my grocery receipt - who fakes coupons anyway? Won't apologize, won't make it right. But, they got my $50. Alas. Stay away. Head down the street to American Cleaners. I rarely leave reviews, but I felt ethically compelled to write this one. I called ahead to get guidance on dry-cleaning a couple suits for a very last-minute interview. The woman who helped me on the phone, Alessia, if I heard correctly, was incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating. Either while I was on the phone or while I was dropping off my items, I mentioned that I had a small $5 off coupon. It wasn't a sticking point for me at all, and I fully understand that policies may require it to be presented at a certain time. Regardless, she went out of her way to help me coordinate timing and made the process much less stressful. Truly excellent customer service. However, when the coupon was brought up again at pickup, the situation escalated unnecessarily. A short male staff member came out visibly angry, raised his voice at me, and demanded that I identify the employee who had helped me so he could "educate" her. I made it very clear that I did not care whether the $5 coupon could be applied and that my only request was that he stop raising his voice at me. Instead, he stormed away like a petulant child. What was most upsetting was not the coupon. It was the tone and hostility of the interaction, as well as the way this individual spoke about his employee. If he is willing to yell at customers and speak to employees in such a conceited manner in front of others, I am genuinely saddened to think about how he may speak to them privately. Alessia, or the woman who had helped me originally, was immensely helpful, and I truly hope Tide Cleaners never gets rid of her. I never leave reviews, but I felt ethically wrong not doing so given the circumstances. It is really sad that a customer has to feel the need to stand up for an employee. If this individual is in a position of authority, I hope Tide Cleaners does the right thing and removes him from a position of power that allows him to speak to customers and employees with such disregard for respect. This interaction reflected immensely poorly on your company. I have been quite loyal to Tide Cleaners since moving back to St. Louis, but if nothing is done, I will most definitely be dropping off my laundry elsewhere. The last two times I've used them I'm fairly certain they didn't actually do anything. A formal dress had a deodorant stain and came home with the same stain. I was having an issue with the dry cleaners I've been using for years and decided to try somewhere else. There's a Tide Cleaners nearby so I decided to go there. The two staff members who were working when I dropped off our clothes were nice. They gave me some coupons, told me when my clothes would be ready and that I could pick them up at the drive-through. A few days later, I go through the drive-through and get my clothes. When I got home, I took them out of the dry cleaning bags and nothing looked good. They smelled good, but that was about it. I had taken one of my husband's linen shirts in and it looked like it had been rolled up into a ball - it was SO wrinkled. I had taken a formal dress in and it was wrinkled. Nothing was nice and neat. I took them elsewhere and had them redone. The value wasn't so great! I had to pay twice to get my clothes done correctly. I recently went to pick up my items--only to find out they had been DONATED without my knowledge. Tide Cleaners has a "6-month donation policy," which I was never informed of, nor could I find this policy disclosed clearly on their website. Yes, I take responsibility for not picking up my items sooner. But with nearly $400 worth of items involved, I would have expected at least a phone call, email, or text alerting me before they gave my belongings away. Tide Cleaners: this is unacceptable. I place my clothes in the cleaners on Jan 14th, 2025. It was two hooded sweat Jackets and some sweat pants that matched the jacket. It was suppose to be ready the next day. Came back was ready on the 16th. I picked up two of the three Items. Every day now I am getting an excuse of when my polo jacket is going to be ready. Broken promises. They had finally admitted they dameged the jacket after the 4th visit. But no one seems to be able to reach the taylor that has it and is suppose to be fixing it. I have visited Tide Cheaners in Chesterfield (Clayton & Henry Rds) several times. They are friendly, efficient, and do a nice job. However, they are expensive. $3.49 for a men's dress shirt? Oye! Plenty of local cleaners can provide equal service and for less. It is convenient to be able to drop off and pickup without getting out of your car. Ruined my son's favorite shirt, which ironically was in a second time because they ironed it down the middle. Somehow while it was there the second time, it got something on that created bleached out spots all over the shirt. We took it back and they blamed us - they took absolutely no accountability. I decided to take a 100% polyester skirt from top shop so decently expensive to this cleaner. It had a few light stains on the front when I brought it in. When I got it back today, the stains were even more visible, and there were 6 threads snagged loose around the skirt on the actual fabric not even on the hems, and multiple threads pulled and ripped across the skirt. I'm still trying to get used to @TideDryCleaners . We switched when the folks at #Starcrest down the street jacked their prices. The Tide drive thru sounds like a good idea, but it's pretty much ignored by the staff. The personalized bags make it easy to drop off everything, but the Tide smell takes some getting used to. Time will tell if I stick with Tide. They have all the tools in place to be great...hopefully they get their acts together...and maybe an odor-free option. read more

Never going to any other dry cleaners. Not only is tide on my way home from work, but on my days off i have no problem going out of my way to get there because they have a 24 hr drop off and pickup. You do have to call them and let them know to put it in a locker for pickups but being able to around the clock have dry cleaning taken care of is really convenient. Really disappointed in my experience with Tide Dry Cleaners Ballwin. After giving them a printed copy of their BOGO dry cleaning and laundry service coupon with a large amount of clothes, they didn't apply the coupon (which seems to happen ALL THE TIME) and charged me $87. The clothes were all for my husband, who was getting his clothes cleaned before he moved to Germany for a job. My kids and I are moving to Germany soon and no longer need dry cleaning services, but Liz, the manager at Tide, refused to credit my credit card for the overcharged amount and instead will only offer me a credit for future dry cleaning at Tide. Some of the worst service I've had. Although my clothes look great, I will not be returning. My mom took my clothes there 5 years ago for me to pick up in my name. They had my moms credit card on file, so they took it upon themselves to charge her credit card on file for my entire purchase today.
