I don't usually come to this nail salon but I have been here before. My salon had closed early and I needed to desperately get my toes done for a wedding coming up. This salon closed at 8PM, I walked in at 7:30. I asked if it was too late to get a pedicure, the man (who I assume is the owner everyone is talkin about below) was so kind to me. Assured there was no issue with my tome coming in since they weren't closed and sat me down immediately. He cracked a couple jokes and seemed incredibly nice. He was chatting with all his regular customers that were in and they seemed happy! I had a wonderful experience. The woman who did my nails did a wonderful time, maybe it was a little sped up, but I blame that on the time I came in and really didn't mind because the foot massage still felt great. I also had a woman next to me that asked her nail tech to cut deeper for an ingrown toenail and she didn't even hesistate! The woman was so happy she said her toes had never felt so relieved The owner even gave me a water bottle without me asking as I was getting my toes done, and I was soooo thirsty. He walked around asking his customers how their experience was and if they enjoyed everything. Seemed like he wanted feedback, which I love! I saw so many negative reviews so I wanted to chime in and say TicTac nails is really great! Also only paid $30 for my pedicure! That's cheap to me since a pedicure in Grand Rapids where I used to live was $50. Worth it!! Toes looks great! read more

The worst nail salon I've ever been to. I arrived at my appointment time only to wait 30min. Once they did start working on my nails they cut one toe and cut a significant amount of skin on my big toe where it wouldn't stop bleeding. I needed to wrap it up since the bleeding wouldn't stop. At that point, I walked out of this place without even an apology. I have to imagine most of these reviews are fake on google because Yelp has them rated bad as well. read more

Very nice lady gave me a pedicure. I really liked the massage and the hot towl at the end - never had that before when getting a pedicure. The place was clean, the staff was kind and the location is excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone. From talking to the staff, they have many repeat customers. I'll be back too! read more

So today was my second time coming here. The first time I came to this place the lady who did my nails was rude and the other lady who did my eyebrows waxed part of my eyebrow off. I came back today and the man who did my nails was more pleasant but didn't let me pick what style I wanted or what length. I kept asking for them to be shorter but he didn't listen. My nails ended up looking like shit and crooked and just looked rush. read more

I went to Tic Tac Nails several times because they do great nail designs. They are EXPENSIVE! That said, my first visit was great, but subsequent visits went downhill fast. My last visit, the nail tech talked on the phone with her mom the entire time she worked on my nails - and rather than trim and fill where the nails had lifted, she just glued them back down! Two nails broke the very next day, and I never went back. I go to a different nail salon up the street now, and have received excellent service on every visit. TL;DR: Inconsistent service and poor fill technique. Very expensive for poor quality. read more

Worst nail place I have ever been to. Extremely rude workers and so unsanitary. While I was soaking my nails in my water bowl I noticed floating fingernails that were DEFINITELY not mine. I politely asked the nail tech to change the water and she got rude and defensive saying "don't worry, don't worry" as she continued to let my fingers soak in someone's fingernails for another 2-3 minutes before I physically removed my hands out and told her to please change it. In the most simple way possible, save your money and your time and go somewhere else. Have also heard horrible experiences from others and racist encounters that occurred with friends. It was ok. The pricing is about the same everywhere else but the customer service was meh. I had to remind the lady twice what color I wanted and yet she still brought me the wrong ones (I picked green and beige, she brought back charcoal and white). I sat in the pedicure chair for 25 mins before she came back, it wasn't a busy day. Then she worked on me for about an hour, not in a good way. She kept stopping and watching other people in the shop. Also, their shellac doesn't have matching nail polish for your toes. I told her twice that I wanted a design on my nail and then reminded her again when she said she was done. I asked for cheetah print on one finger and she asked me what that was and wanted to see a picture. Then when she was done with my nails she didn't clean up the extra polish left on my fingers. LENGTHY REVIEW: I used to come to this nail salon every month with my sister and always received excellent service as well as gorgeous nails. Today, I was shocked at how bad my nails turned out and such intimidating service I got at table #7. The woman filed my nails uneven lengths and shaped them embarrassingly. She yelled at me about my finger being crooked and feel as if she purposely filed my nails with extreme force after I asked her to fix a tip she put on a little crooked. My pinky nail is disgustingly short and my thumb nails are folding upwards as well as my middle finger. To top it off, she stared down at the receipt as I anxiously signed off her $5 tip. Now I'm out 50 dollars and have to deal with these acrylics for the next 3 weeks. read more

I've posted on them before, and all ways good. I don't know what is going on, but I promise this was my last time going to this location. I made an appt 12:15. I arrived 12:05 no biggy, would rather be early than LATE! There were only 3 techs, and all were working on other clients: no biggy. I finally got into the chair, and it is now 12: 50. The owner indicated short staff, so okay Hey! things happen, but my feet got a good soak. Finally, the tech starts on me. I know they had words, she mentioned not feeling well/stomach something. No.. she was mad, he has scheduled these appts, and it was just tooo much! Okay, either way we moving.. She was irritated, mad, angry blah..blah.. okay no biggy.. When I say she nicked me, she NICKED me bad! I knew it was bad. I kind of jumped, feet back into soak, my toe is stingy, that's how bad.. oh.. trust I soaked again for awhile... I was to also get manicure: mani-ped.. guess what I got nicked again.. not as bad... I wanted to get out of there sooo bad, and sooo fast.. I don't go often to get mani-ped's, but often enough, but the last time I was there GOT NICKED AGAIN! That issue was the person did not advise them mani-ped. This time, today was it.. I a pedicure done at Tic Tac last month. It was 45.00 without tip. I wanted the quick dry top coat and a regular 25.00 pedicure. Because they put shellac as a top coat they was 15.00 extra. Also 5 to remove the shellac top coat only from the prior month I was not charged for. I got plain old polish. Just sheliac too coat This month nice 25 dollar pedicure, actually almost clean this time. I got base coat, two coats of regular polish. I refused the shellac top coat. The 25 pedicure dollar top coat they give you does not dry under a ultra violet light. I sat freezing with a mini heater blowing in my legs. Had to leave in flip flops. I am a licensed manicure, I know very well they have fast drying too coat they is not shellac. The manger/ possibly owner quoted 3 different prices for the same service I asked for. She said to one lady, it's 10 shellac for feet then 15 for nails. I did you just told me 15 for feet. Then lady cane back because she over charged. She was charged 15 2x. Was told it's 15 for a fill, sign says 13 and up, 15 for Shellac on nails. 3 different stories in 30 minutes. Their sign has pricing and evey price days and up after the dollar amount. Got lashes there. 23, then 25, 35, three months the prices changed. You can get ultra light quicker drying polish for free. Then i asked her what a dip it was, she told me if I wss a manicures I would know what that was. Basically lied to three clients in front of me then accused me of being a liar. Because she's cheating people with writing prices and writing and up. I guess it depends on what you wear, how old your are, then the price changes based on that. White people go to beauty school for nails. 500 hours plus 40 hours desk work making appiontment. I could no longer give my employees 60% commission pay overhead and supplies. Ask then to work twice as fast for half the money. Hey, 50 bucks for a pedicure and 40 for full set, I guess I'm back in business, the days where you felt spoiled and decadent. Not a number and guess the prices. Lol 0 is my rating. I'm calling the state board on the other salon across from JC penny in Westland. It's the same game. Top Diamond Nails, Wayne rd. 734- 513-4166. Please ask in advance how much your services are going to be, because the Owner nice guy but he will "RIP YOU OFF " with a smile. There website says one price and even there board in the salon. He comes up with a higher price then both! My nail tec Jay was great. I watched another customer leave out very angry because after her service, she kindly asked her nail tec how much? The tec's English wasn't that great and you could clearly understand $40 dollars so the lady gave her $45 cash the Tec just looked at the woman she said is that ok? The owner came over and told the customer it was $50. Buyer "BEWARE"! they will charge you extra if its not clear from the start! I know you hate to be like this, but if your not happy make them redo them at the time. Because you will leave unhappy and then go somewhere else and pay twice. Also ask at the beginning how much for gel nails, shellac polish, 2 finger design also if you have more then 2 colors. This place has changed over the years and not for the good. read more

I had a very good pedicure. However, one nail tech was in a very low cut tight camisal shirt and very short shorts. Bending over client with her breasts half hanging out. Very inappropriate dress code. The rest of the nail techs were dressed appropriately. Hopefully the owner will address innapropriate dress in a work place. I went to this place last evening. The lady I had was rude and unpleasant. Secondly I was very dissatisfied how she did my nails. The worse I've ever had. My thumb had a ripple that she had to re do today. And then I showed her my two other nails that were crooked. She stated " Its your fingers that are crooked!" I was shocked by her response. I went in for a fill and pedi, after the chop job that I had two weeks before that I was hesitant and wondering if I should just drive 45 minutes away for my lady down in woodhaven. But I went in, I was greeted, more pleasant than your typical, I waited a little longer than I would've liked.. BUT it was the day before Easter and I def. got there at the right time because when my fill started they were getting slammed and underhanded, but Kim the girl who did my nails, she was the biggest sweetheart, quick and good at her job. very diligent and actually engaged in conversation.. but the little old lady who did my pedicure, I hope I never see her again, I obviously had a cut on my big toe so I started to take the callus cream off of the toe, she came over and asked me I explained she started the pedi, and put it right back on. I snapped my foot back and wiped it off, then she tried to tell me if was an ingrown nail I had to snap my foot back again and raise my voice and said don't touch the toe, I'll have it shaped next time do you not understand this hurts. I'm not a baby, stop touching me. I don't typically react like that, but if she doesn't listen once, OK your English isn't that good, but to be rough? I don't care if she is the wife of the owner get her out. I hope you Tic-Tac reads this, the older lady, not Lucy she fixed my nail today (my fault) and she was very nice, but the the older lady, she's a mean lady and doesn't know how to treat people. read more

I got a gift certificate to this place for $30 so I decided to go there and try it out I have not had my nails done in a very long time and boy have the prices went up all I got was a full gel set and two nails painted with snowflakes on them and when I was done the lady Sam said $50 I was so shocked I didn't think I heard her right so I said how much and she was like $50 needless to say if I get a fill in I will not be going back there way to over priced for me they look nice but I have had nicer looking sets before read more

I went to Tic Tac Nails as a walk-in and they fit me in as quickly as they could which was fast :) The first thing I noticed was how clean this salon was, everything sterilized and cleaned. The tec was very friendly and talkative! My manicure was great pain free and effective. Beautiful job on the shellac polish too. I love going here to get my nails done. They will do nail art and they are all around super friendly. The only reason why I won't give 5 stars is because the price part is iffy. Everytime I step in the door it's more and more expensive and I am not increasing my art or getting a full set, only a fill. Ok so let me say I am not one to complain or write reviews I to work in the service industry and know u can't please everyone but I have been comin here for a while it is really close to my work I get a pedicure and my eyebrows done and get my fill ins. I have the pink and white tips I went to get a fill in I thought to change the color up but I told her I had to be at work in an hour and a half she said no prob. So the powder wouldn't dry in time which I was not mad about so after being 20 mins late for work I said I'll just have to come back. I had already been there for almost two hours. So she told me to come in next morning to redo it I had about 45 mins I told her I can not be late cuz I open the place up at work she said ok. I then hear there clock go off I had to stop once again n leave cuz she didn't finish. So that means I had to come up there for a third time. She then charged me 45 bucks now I wouldn't of minded paying this if I didn't have to come a third time. Its ridiculous and she did a crappy job my nail broke 4 days after. I am a good customer I tip well and I understand mistakes happen but I will not go back here and they lost a good customer . read more
