Its the first time I'm reviewing on yelp but this guys worth it! I opened a page just for them !! So first of all, thank you guys for your amazing work in our house ! We were looking for a company to do a huge remodel in our old house. We found them through a friend that was recommending and now I can totally understand why. The team were very professional. They came to my house, planed with me all of my needs and desired, after few hours I got an estimate and than they gave me a couple of days to think about that and to do some "shopping around" so when I took my final decision I felt like I'm doing the right thing! The price was fair compare to others, the project manager was really great and had an amazing team workers that come every morning from 9-5, sometimes on Saturdays and Sundays too!!!! Thank you so much !!! we are so happy to have you !!! read more

High pressure sales to the point of a ridiculous amount of frustration. He's nothing but a con man who bleeds customers and subcontractors for every dime he can. His employee just threatened to sue me for this yelp review because I never contacted the company regarding the cracks. This review MAY be removed if the cracks are fixed. I will never RECOMMEND this company, even to my worst enemy. read more

Tibi Home Design recently built an ADU for us on our property near Lemon Grove, CA. I have no complaints regarding the work. So far, everything seems to have been built correctly. My problem is a lack of honesty and transparency in what I was being charged for. The first red flag went up when the job was completed. He said he guaranteed his work for 10 years. He recommended a certain electric tankless water heater. We questioned him if it would be sufficient for the cottage. He said yes. It was not. It did not heat the water properly for a shower. We asked him many times to replace it and he just ignored us. At the time, we had an ICU Covid nurse renting the cottage. After a 12 hour shift, he needed to come home and take a hot shower. He could not. We finally gave up and bought the proper unit ourselves. He then tried to get us to pay the installation costs. He accepted no responsibility whatsoever for buying the wrong unit. So his 10 year guarantee is worthless. I then decided to check the file carefully to see if he was cheating us. I had no reason to think he was before the water heater incident. I discovered that we had paid him for over $27,000 in permit fees, surveys, plans, soil engineering, energy calculation, etc. but had no invoices to back up those costs. I requested the invoices from him several times, and he refused to provide them to us. We have no idea if what we paid for those items were the actual costs. Permit fees, surveys, etc. are items he should not be making a profit on. We then ended paying for items such as kitchen appliances, washer/dryer, sink, vanity, etc. totaling close to $7,000 that we had either already bought ourselves or items that were never used. I requested that money back and have been completed ignored by Tibi Home Design. Lastly, he obtained a loan for us because we were so over budget that we were running out of money. The loan funded directly to him. He received over $35,000 from that loan and we have no idea how he spent that money. I've asked for an accounting but he was refused to give it. I have hired an attorney and am in the process of filing a complaint with the BBB. We do feel some responsibility because we were too trusting and very naive. We never built a house before. When he asked for money, we wrote him a check. Boy did we learn a good lesson from hiring this company. Never write a check without proof of the expense. read more

High pressure sales tactics. Beat around the bush about everything. Wouldn't give me a price without telling them my budget. Very awkward salespeople, rude and full of themselves. I couldn't wait to get them off my property. They said they'd send me a quote but I haven't seen it yet. I won't even entertain a bid from these clowns. Very pushy and unprofessional. The office told me three different people would be out there. They kept switching sales crews on me. I had multiple phone and email conversations with them explaining I only needed a tub and tile job. They repeatedly pushed to do more. I must have said no about five times. I manage the property and I explained this to them over and over again. They kept pressuring me to give them the owners contact info so they could call and harass him. I explained to them I'm a property manager and it doesn't work that way. I get the bids, choose the contractors and then the owner writes the check. That is the extent of his involvement. These amateurs apparently don't know how a property manager works. I finally had to say "no, you cannot talk to the owner, he will not speak to you." Seriously?! I finally thought I was going to get rid of them and one of the salespersons starts telling me I can hire them off the books and get it for cheaper. This is after these clowns put me on speaker for five minutes with the owner of the company while he tried to pressure me into a contract and giving him my budget. It's a tub and tile job, I told them I want to spend $600-800 on a quality tub for my rental and could care less about the tile. Explain to me how you get $8,000? Avoid these clowns. read more

This company helped us a lot! To make long story short- My grandma lives in San Diego and she had a problem in her roof. We didn't know what to do since we live far away but we asked some people for recommendation and we got to this guys. I have to say - they were extremely nice ! Such a great people! Since my grandma doesn't speak English very well I explained them over the phone what's need to be done. In 4 days they solved the leaking problem and fixed the roof as well. Einav from the office was great and Giuliano the manager too. Thank you guys for helping us in this situation ! Highly recommend! Will definitely use this great company again! read more

I have a property in San Diego. Bathrooms remodeling was long time due. I did few quotes and decided to go with this company. I made a right choice. Initially I got a quote on work I was planned to do, which was better than two other quotes. They helped me to choose plumbing and tile. Work was done as promised, in a timely manner. I would say the work was done, pretty good, I did not find any faults . Overall I m very happy with my bathrooms and would recommend this company for remodeling and upgrading. read more

The worst company ever. Beware do not use them. Unreliable. Communication was horrible. Dustin the project manager was the one in Charge he was terrible. Júliano was the one who overall look at everything he was just as bad we will call him and then he will have Dustin call us. He came a few time and alway made it seem like he was helping us but it was all a show. As soon as he push my husband to sign the paper that was it we never heard from him. We will call and call and it will take forever. We still have crap here they left and stuff not completed. We had our back yard and hvac done the hvac is horrible and even though our backyard look great the crew they hired was lazy they left material and everything left pills of dirt on the side of the house . How do you work around a shed unacceptable instead of removing just work around it. Really Terrible DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!! Worst decision we made. I will Never refer them to anyone. read more

We experienced fine quality craftsmanship and service from Tibi Home Design. We had mold removed from an area in a bedroom in which we had a leaking roof. The bedroom and leaking roof were expertly repaired. We also had Laminate flooring installed throughout our entire home. This job entailed removing wall to wall carpeting which was complicated by the many book cases, desks, and stereo/TV related furniture we have in our home. The Tibi workers made easy work of this challenge and we our very happy with our new floor. I heartily reccommend Tibi Home Design if you are looking for a contractor.. read more

Our project manager, Luigi, has gone above and beyond in an effort to make us completely satisfied with the painting of our house so far. Their stucco guru has worked miracles on huge areas of the house where the stucco was either falling off or had been patched terribly by other people previously. They've done a fastidious job of making sure the windows (which were cracking and peeling paint like crazy) are sanded and smoothed prior to the new paint being applied. They'll be starting on the primer coat of the paint process soon, but so far we've been more than satisfied with the process and I will update the review accordingly once the project is completed. read more

The facts: I'm a building inspector for public works agency and was looking for a quote to remodel my master bath. I scheduled an appt with Tibi Home design and they send out a young person by the name of Amit. Amit is early twenties (I'm 60) and he seemed knowledgeable. We discussed what I wanted which comprises of a complete demo with new tiling including new fixtures and vanity and recessed lighting. I asked for a quote 2 weeks ago....nothing. Then his company calls and they want to speak with my wife. Excuse me? You're dealing with me and I gave explicit instructions to email your estimate so I can look it over before I take the next step. Guliano Tibi will not return my calls, His company put a new cool roof on my house , did not use the correct underlayment. He also put in new insulation per the hero loan and did not use spray foam, he simply put the same type of insolation back in the walls. He got us a hero loan and took all the funds and will not give us an accounting of where the money went. He also put in a solar system and did not follow through and it took my a year and a half to get the solar meter and it is still not set up correctly. We had to sell the house due to the stress from this contractor and my wife and I are getting divorced. We reported him to the contractors board but he had the other consumers reporting him. so be careful he may be working under an other license. The roof has a 30 year guarantee same with the color and he will not honor this as he won't return my calls so i can connect him to the new owners. Robert and Barbara Altman read more

Let me start with: my house is beautiful. But it was painful. So, so painful. We began a full house, nearly six-figure, renovation in September 2017. Tibi finished for good, I HOPE, May 2018. Our original completion date was Nov 2017. (Some reviews here are funny to me because the project manager said to me, "We really never do jobs less than $150k.") What went wrong: -subpar subContractors -flaky project manager -upon "final" delivery in December, house wasn't even clean -we did ALL of our own material shopping because PM refused to write anything down/print anything out...except picking out granite slabs for kitchen, which we were never given the option by PM--it was a hot mess and we lived 500 miles away -had to have ALL kitchen granite replaced due to substandard materials, and the fact that they errantly sealed black galaxy (Tibi replaced only after I threatened legal action, and it took weeks, and many no-shows to get it done) - Invoiced for their tools and items for other projects...CHECK EVERY RECEIPT, we refused many charges and received NO argument -We refused to pay for things the PM did after we told him we didn't want them, and for which we never received an estimate (e.g., under cabinet lighting) -told me the house was complete twice, and when I arrived for inspection (500 mile trip and time off work) found NO COUNTERS OR TOILETS (time 1), and dirty house with a big hole in a wall and cracked granite (time 2) -have had floor tile regrouted TWICE due to crumbling grout -have had carpet coming up because it wasn't stapled -when we refused to pay for some items, the argument was "But I did X-thing-you-never-asked-for." No attention to detail, but we fought back to the company and they concurred. The PM is no longer with Tibi. The office was generally nice, but ineffectual. It was not a good experience, and based on their lack of ability to manage their suppliers, their constant pushback after we had paid (before we realized our counters were a big mess and they'd made a mistake), I can not recommend. Tibi did eventually come through, but it took multiple emotional phone calls and visits to get them to complete the work. The good? -Einav, in the office, is nice and understanding, and I believe she was genuinely sorry for what we experienced -beautiful house -paint is great (after rooms were originally painted wrong colors--see note about PM not taking notes) -floor boards and all lighting is correct and well done -master bath renovation is excellent -finally complete kitchen is awesome, and they did do our kitchen the way we wanted it But the management was a nightmare. Even my super calm husband got upset. But most importantly, CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS. read more

I was referred to Tibi Home Design by my neighbor that got some remodeling done at their home.
