If you were worried about having your glass half empty, no fear. when you come to time you'll never have your water glass ever empty as soon as you take your third sip, the guy is there to fill up your water in no time great experience all around though, had to add that.

Brunch with friends celebrating us. Reservations were done. We arrived on time, we were all looking forward to have scones as per advertised, we were disappointed to be told that they ran out of scones. Don't understand why if the reservations give a pretty good number of people expected. Downer While ordering drinks an one of us inquired about the Mimosa if there was another flavor to what the server answered no just orange, puzzled my friend asked again and with a condescending tone the server answered that Mimosas were made with oranges. There is a beauty when mixologists experiment and create Mimosas with other fruit, eg pears ... but we left it alone. We enjoyed our brunch. Thyme is a quaint eatery. Nice ambience not only for the decor but the location by the water. Now, one the main reason I will not return is because there are no restrooms on the first floor for handicapped patrons. The only bathroom is on the second loor with about 10 steps to climb.

Braised Short Rib Papardelle over Ratatouille & under Parmesan cheese as served

This time at Thyme I tried their Braised Short Ribs with Papardelle pasta served over Ratatouille (mixed veggies) and under Parmesan cheese. Very well made with a slight kick (of spice) in the ratatouille, great combination of flavor between the soft juicy plentiful meat (like boiled flanken or brisket), the long broad pasta, and fresh parmesan cheese. However, didn't enjoy what seemed like slightly stale small dinner rolls (one per person). Also, loved their decaf cappuchino. We arrived 6:00 PM on a Saturday night and for the next hour conversation with our friends was easy and it was less crowded. By seven, it not only got more crowded, but they also had a jazzy guitarist that only added to the noise. With tax & tip about $80 per person (including three appetizers and two mixed drinks for the 4 of us).

Lovely place for brunch. My eggs benedict was delicious, eggs perfectly poached. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and several plates were completely cleaned off . Menu offered large selection of brunch and lunch items. My mimosa was a bit weak but the Bloody Marys had a good amount of alcohol. The servers were friendly and attentive. Additional seating available on second floor.

Great food and ambiance. A really nice American restaurant that serves some of the most amazingly delicious foods in the area. We were blown away by the crispy calamari, which features a much thinner batter layer that had a nice and crispy crunch, more akin to Japanese tempura. The portion sizes were fairly large too, and the amount of meat in the braised short rib papardelle was amazing. The creamy texture of the meat blended very well with the fresh parpardelle. The seafood paella is certainly a must get, with the rice layer really soaking up the flavour of the mussels and clams that fill the plate to the brim in both quantity and flavour. The seared tuna bowl was good too, but nothing too special when compared to the other dishes. Service was very good, and the window seating provides a nice view of the lake nearby!

Great spot in Roslyn, LI. Overlooks a pond which is very scenic. Service and staff was great. The drinks and food here were delicious. I would go with any of the cocktails but my bloody mary was on point. Food was the standout. Burger was juicy and flavorful. The cob salad was fresh and satisfying. And the crab cakes were a great appetizer. Would definitely come back again. Great in a group or for date night.

Easter Brunch nothing impressive. Childrens menu for $32 a kid was embarrassing. Again nothing stood out for Party of 5. I was very disappointed.

Nice job! We sat upstairs (which was a little weird but ok) felt sorry for the staff! Like the menu, nice options. Staff were great! Nice presentation, food was great! Will go back !

They have a $31 brunch which includes one alcoholic (or non) drink. Certain item requires an up charge. Overall the portion were generous and the service really prompt, attentive and courteous.

They start you off with some warm buns served with honey butter and they were GOOD. So good that we asked for more and then tried to stop ourselves from devouring them before our food even arrived. For appetizer, we ordered the crispy calamari. The batter was very light and the calamari itself was so delicate and sweet. You can definitely tell how fresh the seafood is and that stayed true for the rest of our meal. For pastas, we got the spaghetti fra diavolo containing lobster and shrimp. Again, the seafood was fresh, sweet, and tender. The pasta was also a shocker, not only was it perfectly firm, it had such a nice chewy texture. You can feel and taste how homemade the pasta is. Next, the rigatoni eggplant was our unexpected favorite. The pasta texture was even better with the rigatoni shape and the eggplant was not even noticeable, it blended in so well with the sauce. The ricotta on top was the perfect creamy addition. For proteins, the pork chop was very tender and juicy. The sweet glaze wasn't overly sweet and it really complimented the savoriness of the meat. The brussel sprouts on this dish were also outstanding. I love when a restaurant doesn't treat the veggies as a side dish! The branzino was light and refreshing, it was a really great balance to the other saucier dishes we had. The service was extremely attentive and so friendly. They really took care of us and made sure we enjoyed our meal.

Well, I'm not sure how much the city of Roslyn has to offer though, so maybe it's the place to be as it got pretty packed as the evenings went on. I went once for dinner and had a pretty good shrimp cocktail with large shrimp and bland cocktail sauce, even with the extra horseradish. My seared tuna was overcooked, but had a nice flavor. Seared usually means some type of crusty charred goodness, but this didn't have it. The chai creme brûlée was good, but the sugar wasn't torched properly and didn't have that snap, crackle or pop which is what it's supposed to have. On a second night I went for cocktails which were $20 a pop! Yes, it was a bit pricey, but they were well made... with the exception of not having a luxardo cherry in "The Brooklyn". The staff was friendly and remembered me from the night before. They have a pretty good menu, and also a separate Indian menu and seemed to be a place for some local celebrations going on. We were there for a wedding and had gotten to the hotel around 8am to the brides room. The rest of the bridal party went downstairs to check in, because the link sent to our email to check in early was not working for us (it worked for others just not us for some reason). Check in was at 3 but as we had all gotten emails to check in early and couldn't, we went downstairs to check in. We understood that our room would not be ready until 3 but just wanted to pre check in as I've done MANY times before at other hotels. When we went down to the front desk to request this, the young woman working the desk was EXTREMELY rude WITH an attitude telling us that we aren't able to check in because they didn't have rooms yet. I explained that we dont need a room yet but that we got emails to check in early and it didn't work for us and we weren't going to be back until 1am. She responded again rudely telling us we can't check in with an annoyed facial expression. On top of that, we had mini gift bags that all the guests were to receive when they got to the hotel as the hotel had room blocks for the wedding. They were given to the front desk with the request to put them in the rooms for those there for the wedding. We were told this was no problem, as guests were arriving they had the bags behind the desk and started handing out multiples to each person even though the instructions were one per room and to be in the rooms. One of the guests went up to the front desk explaining to the women that they were supposed to be in the rooms already and one per room (again as we were told they can do this earlier in the day). She rudely, with an attitude, told her that "they don't do that" and they'll hand them out when guests are checking in "if they remember". Overall, the main issue was the lack of professionalism from the front desk women who were extremely nasty and miserable.

It seemed pricey for what you got (especially the drinks), but it was nice to have it right there on-site.

The friend zucchini is a signature appetizer for them but the garlic sauce steals the show! The meal--I ordered the fillet with an extra robust char and said medium would be fine. It came blue rare. I applied the garlic and some butter and blue cheese dressing to the steak and with or without this amalgam it was amazing! Really worth all the logistics and service shortcomings. The creamed spinach was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The coconut cake was dense and rich--in a good way! It was delicious and I highly recommend it. I would have given the restaurant 4+ stars but the noise and poor waitstaff performance knocked it down to 3.
