For our first visit since this location became Thyme, we went with sambousik and chicken shawarma wraps. I was a bit horrified to find french fries IN my wrap - I'd reasonably assumed they were a side, given that french fries are not Middle Eastern. This seems to me to be an inexpensive filler, more in line with "take out shawarma joints" then the upscale bistro Thyme is trying to present itself as. The sambousik was acceptable, though not served with any dipping sauce. Still, the seasoning of the shawarma chicken was alright, and we'll probably try again, ordering platters next time. But for a shawarma wrap, I guess I'll continue to drive past this place and continue to Norwood. read more

I had the best lamb platter ever!! Lamb is also halal for anyone looking for a halal resturant and the owner was very helpful and honest answering my question on whether the meat is halal or not. We will go back again! read more

I've ordered takeout here several times, and each experience has been good. I particularly like the Kafka kebab. For the dinner portion, they include a small salad, rice and hummus with pita bread. I wish that they would add a lamb kebab, but they only offer a portion of small lamb slices. All in all, it's good food and a good value. P. Lyons read more

My wife and I were driving through Canton and spotted Thyme . We decided to check it out. Good call. The two dinner plates we ordered, chicken Kabob and Falafel were two of our favorites. Portions were large,. The falafel were crisp and tasty, the chicken was grilled and moist. The accompanying salads were quite tasty. While waiting forour take out dinners , we chatted with the owner, she mentioned they were adding Kibbee Balls to the menu and when I said they were among our favs, one of the Chefs said that he could prepare a couple if we wanted, we did and they were like our dinners were well prepared and tasty. My husband and I had dinner and everything was delicious. Unusual for me, I actually tried a dessert. I was told that everything was made fresh, each day, and you could tell. I told the person serving me that I didn't care for macaroons. She brought me one to my table so that I could sample it. She changed my mind. It was fantastic! Thyme in Canton has the freshest, tastiest Lebanese food I've had in a very long time. The portions are very large and they know how to treat their customers. Don't forget their desserts. Their signature chocolate cake with whipped cream and fruit is to die for! read more

Came here with my kids 3 days after its opening. This used to be the Grape Leaf, which was on, but nothing like this. Everything is very fresh. Kids had Chicken and Lamb Kebob platters. Delicious! Recently moved to the area and checking out the local flavors. Stopped in and I was thrilled. It's a small, friendly place. It is the best falafel I've had since I was in the Middle East 15 years ago! Wonderfully flavorful with a crispy outside. Obviously freshly made. We were recommended to Thyme by a friend and boy was he right. We had Baba Ghanoui with their fresh made pita chips the dip was creamy goodness with a smooth smokey flavor balanced with a bright lemon. We split a couple of spinach pies and again they far exceeded expectations. The star of the starters was however was brought out by one of the owners a super friendly woman who said you need to try this it's my favorite. Shankleesh a beautiful salad of tomato, green pepper onion and feta cheese seasoned with thyme and dressed with olive oil and lemon I think. It was incredible a bright tangy burst of flavor with fresh crunchy vegetables to scoop with pita chips. Entrees were a chicken kabob sandwich that my son inhaled and proclaimed to be absolutely fabulous. My other son had the trio plate of chicken kabob, Kafka and lamb with rice and hummus and salad. Everything on the plate was fantastic. My wife had beef shawarma and I had the combo of beef and chicken also over rice with hummus and salad. The hummus is incredible a flavorful smooth dip with well balanced flavors. The beef and chicken were both delicious well seasoned with no one flavor over powering the other. The owner struck again and brought out her husbands falafel. I have never had better. They were light and fluffy with a warm spice that left you looking for more. On top of the great Mediterranean food they also are a bakery and a bag full of goodies came home. I'm currently too stuffed to comment on those but if they taste as good as they look I'm in for a delightful dessert. read more

Went for a hike nearby and ended up getting sandwiches and platters from Thyme. Best decision ever!! Not only was the food authentic, but our experience was as well. They really know how to make you feel special there. After being warmly greeted and assisted by all staff, we ate our sandwiches on their beautiful porch. Ordered take out yesterday for lunch and was greatly satisfied with the decision. Big portion sizes, delicious chicken and hummus in the trio platter. If you love Mediterranean food, you will enjoy eating the food from Thyme. Very fresh and spiced just right. We frequently order takeout and everything we have ordered has been delicious. My favorite is the Thyme salad with chicken kabob- love their salad dressing. The restaurant is under new ownership and they now serve desserts that are fabulous to look at and eat. Went in this evening as I had noticed the name had changed to Thyme... was hoping it was still a Mediterranean restaurant and it is! They served me a falafel to try while I waited for my chicken kebob platter. I have to say that the falafel was excellent not greasy or dry -- really good flavor, crunchy outside and fluffy on the inside. My kebob was good too. I would recommend you go check it out for yourself. Also...they have a broad selection of cookies and other pastries. read more
