We were going to go to Fuego but my Indian husband actually bothered to look into the window of Veggie Crust and his eyes lit up when he realized it was an indian pizza shop! I can't do a lot of Indian spices. I have weak digestion or whatever. But what's brilliant about this place is it does both Indian flavors and classic pizza flavors. So we got a pizza with pesto sauce, paneer and corn. And it was wonderful! Good crust. And I don't understand why corn hasn't been widely adopted as a pizza topping because it is fantastic. I can't eat anything fun, so discovering corn as a pizza topping was a highlight of past trips to India. We were so pleased that the next day we ordered 3 pizzas for a party we were throwing. We had a manchurian, Paav bhaji, kadai paneer (made spicy). The Manchurian was delicious and so was the Paav Bhaji, but I bailed midway through the slice... the spice catches up with you. Our guests were all excited and impressed and thrilled to find that there were branches near where they live in somerville and brookline. The service was quick. The guys at the counter were nice. The restaurant is a hole in the wall, but it's really conveniently located on the Norwood town common and has tables for dine in. When we ate in they brought the pizza out to us. I'm so curious about the paan ice cream. paan is so not my thing... but I'm so intrigued by the idea of it in ice cream form. Anyway. Yummy Pizza. The big indian sodas (limca, thumbs up) mango lassi, paan ice cream. Vegetarian and what sound like well thought out vegan options. They got all your sauces (pesto, vegan and non-vegan alfredo, marinara) They got your western pasta and your biryanis. We can't wait to eat there more... and I'm just thrilled we can both eat there and I won't die. read more

My son had an appointment in the area and we stopped in for lunch. As a vegan family, we rarely get the full pizza experience. This was AMAZING!! We had cheese and pepperoni and it was the real deal. I had forgotten how the oils in cheese hold the heat in a pizza! And the vegan pepperoni curled at the edges like it should!! My 7yo was enamored and the service was fantastic. ,Was happy to see a veggie Indian flavored pizza place open up nearby. the menu has a variety of veggie, Panner and Soya based pizza, pasta options along with few other Indian curries, breads and biriyani. The restaurant appears to be primarily for takeout as it has limited seating inside. We tried their pizza options. The service was prompt and our 2 pizza order was ready for pickup in 15mins. The Cauliflower Manchurian Pizza (spicy option) was good and the sauce was quite flavorful. The Paneer Tikka BBQ (should have chosen some other sauce though) was bit disappointing as the Panner was solid hard chunks with hardly any flavor and the BBQ sauce was ok. One big negative was the cost. @$18 for basic medium pizza they are quite expensive as they include just one primary topping. Every other topping is extra $2/topping which adds up quite a bit and expensive compared to any other pizza chains. They only have medium and large sizes for the pizza. The indian curry flavors were good, so might go back to try a different pizza with a curry inspired sauce or one of their curries. read more

Stopped here for the first time to get a pizza for my vegan daughter. She ordered a vegan pepperoni. Service was pleasant and polite. Pizza was wonderful. Many of us tried it (even the non-vegans). Will definitely come back to sample more of their menu items! read more

Vegitarian place is in a cozy small Norwood neighborhood. No air conditioning was set when we visited. The temperature was almost 92F outside. The staff were smelling of sweat when they delivered the food. Food on the other hand was crazy good. We ordered spicy fries and paneer BBQ pizza and chilli garlic noodles. Fries were a blast. Pizzas are good, tried Paneer Pizza and regular veggie pizza. But their Indian curries are tasteless. Tried the Soya chaap kebab, it was raw, just out of can. Chana palak has very less spinach and I can bet the chana was chickpeas from can. Chole Bhature were very awful. Chole were stale and Bhatura were made from very sour dough. Their Garlic Naan are from Frozen packed ones, which I didn't know before hand, otherwise I would have skipped the whole Indian curries. Shame on them to serve Frozen food in Indian restaurant. What a disaster for expecting good Indian food. better buy from grocery store by and heat at home, will taste better. read more
