I showed up on time for my appointment and I was told I would be in and out within an hour. (I was told that the process of getting an oil change ranges from 45mins - 1hr) So I sat inside the lobby to wait. Keep in mind, my appointment was at the top of the hour. As I waited in the lobby, I watched as my car sat untouched, for 28 minutes. As I began to suspect that I was going to be late for an out-of-town afternoon appointment I had mentioned to the techs prior... I decided I was going to get up to ask what was going on. Just then, I watched a tech take my car back to the bays to start working on it, so I sat back down. 50 minutes later, my car was back out front and ready to go. Was the car done in an hour? No. But, having an appointment sure beats the wait time of just walking in! Although friendly communication is not their forte... the prices are decent and so is the service. When I got there they couldn't/wouldn't fix the tire or sell me a new regular tire since they had no run flats in stock. They cited "liability reasons". They told me I had to buy all four new tires. I was stranded because no one had run flats in stock and no one would attempt to fix the tire except Mario at Hollister tire! I got an email shortly after the inquiry was sent to come in and chat more about my project. From the initial meeting with Inti, at the front sales, my impression of the shop was that they were very trustworthy from their overall knowledge, recommendations and experience. They weren't pushy in trying to sell me things I didn't need as they utilized the understanding of my usage I communicated to them. Inti even pulled out a sample tire from inside the shop up to my truck so I can get a better visual of what my project may look like. I appreciate customer service like this where you don't feel rushed and the rep really spends time to understand what you want. I kept seeing Advanced Trucks on my way through Morgan Hill and I wanted to patronize this independent shop rather than going to a chain 4x4 shop. I'm glad I did as I am thoroughly happy with the final product. Inti kept me in the loop on the progress, checked in when needed, gave me an accurate timeline and delivered within that timeline.
