Took my Nissan Altima here after a family members recommendation for issues with my heat shield around my catalytic converter and changing my brakes and received likely the most affordable servicing from any auto shop. The price was fair, the service was fairly quick, and the shop owner was communicative/friendly. Will definitely return in the future! read more

AMAZING. AMAZING. AMAZING. Ramon, is a TOTAL CLASS ACT. CUSTOMER SERVICE at the HIGHEST LEVEL. My 2002 Dodge Ram 3500 Truck broke down across the street from Aromas Auto. LUCKY ME. When I asked if he could help, Ramon quickly did numerous tests to diagnose the issue. He is -----incredibly knowledgeable----- and explained everything that would be needed to get me back on the road. He ordered parts, and the next day, my truck was ready, completely fixed in less than 24 hours AND the whole experience was PERFECTION. As a customer, they treated me like GOLD. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION and THANKS. VERY NICE people and EXPERT work. read more

Had my brakes done here, new rotors and pads. There was nothing wrong with my brakes when I brought it in besides feeling like they needed new pads. Got the work done and on the drive home brakes were fluttering and sliding when coming to a stop. Brought it back in 3 or so times for them to fix either a mistake on thier part or a bad part, but Ramon didn't want to believe it could be a faulty part. During the multiple test drives he could feel and hear the obvious fluttering. Service was not cheap and was never rectified, this used to be my go to shop but now I'd rather go anywhere else. Avoid at all cost read more

I had taken my car to the dealership and explained what was appearing on the screen when I was driving. Of course they couldn't figure out what I was saying. And didn't fix anything but charged me a arm and leg. I thought I was having electrical problems with my car. Which I expected to pay$$. Aromas auto repair was recommended to me by a friend who will only take his cars to from now on. I can see why they are so honest and really listens to their customers. Aromas auto ran a diagnosis test and located the problem. It had to do with the door latch that was sending a message to the battery. They ordered the part and drove the car to see if the message showed up again. It didn't and they told me to drive it and if the message showed up again to bring it back. So far it hasn't happened. My bill for labor and repair was under $500.00. I will from now on take my vehicles to Aromas Auto Repair. Highly recommend their business. Thank you. read more

Twice in the last year I've had a car problem when I was traveling in this part of the county. Once I was able to drive my car and even though it had a broken lifter. It was a classic car and Mike Lanbreth was able to diagnose the broken lifter and repair it within a couple of days. The second time I had a major breakdown on 101 with the car I drive most of the time. I was able to get the car into his shop and he diagnosed it and repaired it in a reasonable amount of time. His shop is clean and his knowledge of auto repair is extensive. Try this shop if your car breaks down or if you need maintenance. Mike gets a thumbs up for me and when you go there tell him Karen sent you read more

I took my car into Aromas auto repair for the first time yesterday for an oil change and smog. I found out that my wonderful service advisor that I had dealt with for many years at mid bay ford( Marty Franich) was working there now. I was so so happy to have found Ramon again as he was always very kind and pleasant. Aromas auto repair was very efficient, honest, fair, and knowledgeable. Great experience and I would highly Recommed them. read more

new faces everytime I go in. I've been going there since they opened bring them tons of business every year. This year my SUV failed smog visual even though it was the same as last time I brought it in. Guy (little man complex) told me it was missing a hose, turns out it was a breather hose that wasn't needed to pass smog, he was just in a hurry to leave for a (family emergency) and didn't wanna do it.. Hope it was worth it because you cast your business 10-20 grand a year. im never going back I don't need to be treated poorly just because some hack doesn't know how to do his job... read more

Louis the new owner of Aromas auto is one of the best mechanics we have ever met. He has worked on all three of our company trucks and has done an outstanding job. Honest efficient, he is now our families and companies new mechanic . He installed transmissions on two of our trucks and a radiator on another truck. If you want a mechanic that knows what he's doing and gets the job done right he's your man. Big Thank You to Aromas Auto and Louis. Jason Walsh and Ken Telford Superior Pump Company read more

Exceptional service! Towed my car early in the morning and they have a drop-off box in case you need to get to work early! Within the same day Valente was able to assist me and fix my car troubles, amazing service would recommend this place for anyone and also got a great quote for fixing the starter on the car. Will definitely go back 10/10. read more

I had a small problem--a blown fuse, apparently--and just wasn't sure where to go for it. I tried to fix it myself but couldn't get the fuse out, and it turned out I was reading the diagram wrong and would have removed the wrong one! Anyway, I was asking for advice on Next Door on a Sunday when Aromas Auto--who wasn't open that day--piped up and offered to help. I drove there first thing the next morning and was on my way back home in 10 minutes! I'm glad they're on my radar and will definitely return for other work--it looks like they offer quite a range of services, and the locals love 'em! read more

Big Attaboy to Rick @ Aromas Auto Repair! My daughter had a brake job on her 2003 Tahoe at another shop I will not name. They replaced everything - shoes, parking brake, rotors & calipers. Cost her a small fortune but at least it it's all good - right? Wrong... Even after a return visit they couldn't stop a squeak and couldn't get the brakes bled to where they felt right. Told her it was normal for these Tahoes? I took it to Aromas Auto here in town and when Rick pulled off the wheels, he immediately diagnosed the problem. The other shop had installed the rear calipers on the wrong sides! Rick fixed them and re-bled the system - Happy, Happy, Happy! We have outstanding auto service right here in Aromas - don't overlook them. Neil Lefmann Carpenteria Road read more

My wife and I have always valued and used Ramon's expert advice until recently. He's performed work on our Honda Pilot and my 1998 Chevy pickup with no complaints from either side I counted Ramon as a professional acquaintance who I thought would treat me fairly. That suddenly changed and I'm still at a loss to understand why. My truck needed brakes. Ramon took the truck examined it and told me what it needed. We agreed on a price. While waiting for parts to arrive he was supposed to replace a wheel bearing, lube the truck and change various fluids. Done deal so I thought. A day or two later he called and asked me very nicely to move my truck to my house as the parts had not yet arrived, No big deal, so I thought. I went to move my truck to my house but while there I noticed that Ramon's demeanor had changed from friendly to being somewhat annoyed due to a lack of parts. I asked why he was so annoyed as the truck would be stored at my house and in no way affecting any potential space considerations that he may have had. Finally Ramon told me flat out that he wouldn't work on my truck because he lacked a "timely delivery" of parts. What ?? I complained LOUDLY ! How could he justify himself ? He simply told me to get out. An employee "Eddie" involved himself in the discussion by yelling at me to get out then taking a fighting stance when I continued trying to understand what the heck had happened. I was both annoyed and embarrassed to be treated in this manner with no forewarning or precursor to violence. As I was facing Eddie, ready to defend myself, another employee, much bigger than me (76) who I had not seen before creeped up on me from behind and got me in a bear hug pinning my arms to my sides, then twisting me backwards and forcing me onto a very hot car engine resulting in painful and scarifying second degree burns to my forearm. Police called and the D.A. will decide whether to file assault charges. Stopping the fight was one thing and acceptable but holding me down against a hot engine was in my opinion, unnecessary and assaultive behavior. I still don't know why it happened and the sudden turn of events. read more

Mike did an excellent job fixing an issue with my husband's SUV. He was quick and efficient and his service was fairly priced.

Luis was very generous with his time and advice. We were traveling on a Saturday afternoon when the engine light started flashing. He stayed late to inspect and fix the car - $229+tax, inspection plus replacing the spark plugs - to get us back on the road. If we didn't live far away, would definitely return. read more

They may have changed owners but the quality of their work and awesome level of customer service hasn't decreased at all! I called in yesterday for a price estimate. They got me in today in less than an hour for what I was quoted. They told me the other issues my car has that need to be addressed but did it in a non-salesman, not pushy at all way. I will definitely be back and sending anyone in the area their way! read more
