I would place Throwback among the best of the best brew pubs. Great atmosphere. Unique beers to accommodate a range of tastes. Outdoor patio/sitting area is relaxing. They just added a fire pit. Not crazy about the line to order beers, but it's minor among all the good things. read more

This place deserves a much better rating and want to give it one but can't. Very cool spot and great beer. Haven't been in awhile. Food is just ok. Menu selection is excellent but have never had that really great meal. I was surprised about the no table service and plenty of signs telling us that. Go to the bar to order. Really?! Credit cards up front - ok maybe on a busy night or day in summer but when it's slow. I asked why and told people take off. Ok - I felt like a loser. I'll be back because I like their beer and atmosphere. Hopefully things lighten up there. read more

Had a great time, sat outside with a group of 12. Waitstaff was awesome, food was yummy and fresh and nice tasty beer. The only thing that needs to be added are some heat lamps and some string lights because it got very dark. A fire pit and outdoor grill would be really fun. The staff brought out some candles later in the evening which was a very nice gesture. They're new, so I'm sure things will get tweeked here and there. Overall, I will be returning and looking forward to trying the indoor bar area. Very cool decor and nice selection on menu and on tap. read more

Some seriously tasty and creative beers are being made here! I love the Red Rover Coffee Milk Stout. Also, the people running the place are welcoming, kind, and pretty darn awesome. It was well worth the drive from Boston! read more

The "blueberry beer" wasn't very blue , more like I pink and the 6 oz. glass wasn't enough to gargle never mind drink. The IPA had a kick, but the service was just so-so. The decor was well done and so was my medium rare cheeseburger. Lots of kinks to work out but a nicely done theme and a decent little brewery in a well designed old rustic farmhouse. Will give it another try in the fall. read more

The ladies who own this brewery are so nice and the beer is great! There are a lot of dark beers on tap and samples are 1 dollar.

This is a fantastic nano brewery run by women. They used a ton of local ingredients and come up with a variety of beers, from very normal drinkable hefeweizens and brown ales to funky experimental stuff with beets, basil, chiles, etc. Everyone is very friendly and they host some very fun and affordable events. It can be difficult to find but well worth the trip. read more

The service wasn't good. I got the wrong size beer than what I ordered and had to send it back. Then I got charged the wrong amount for another item which I now have to dispute with my credit card company. It was just bad. I was doing a tour of local breweries and probably bought $50-$100 of merchandise at most places I visited. Instead of doing that here I got frustrated and walked out. read more

First time visitor. Very unusal approach to serving the public. First pick a table. Next, decide what you want to drink and go to the bar area to place your order. You are automaically set up with a tab and given a kitchy bobblehead figure to represent the tab which you take back to your table. When ready to place your food order, back up to the bar, reference your bobblehead figure's name (C3PO,Tweety Bird, etc.) then back to the table to await delivery of your order from one of the few waitresses on staff. Want dessert? Another trip to the bar. Forget to sign your tab? 20% uplift on the total processed against your card. Imagine 30 people all standing in line waiting to start/pay their tab 15 of whom don't understand the process or struggle to remember what everyone at their table ordered. (think DMV) Indoor seating area not huge 35-40 seats? Now, put a mediocre two piece band(?) in there with amplifiers and you have the perfect place to avoid. Food was ok. Not great. There were 7 of us at a table each with their own tab. Confusing. Disappointing. Not worthy of a second visit. In fairness it was busy so, judge for yourself however, go prepared to pretend to work at a restaurant and pay for the privilege. read more

Really nice outdoor setting. Delicious beer and food. However, the operation is a real mess. First, we had to scramble to secure a table since no one seats you. Then, a real hassle ordering the food. It took ten minutes on line to order at the counter. Then, another half hour for it to arrive at our table. read more

Why wouldn't anyone want to have a beer and feed a pig. Great beer, food and people. Hopstruck rocks!

Beautiful building and atmosphere and the food was really good. Unfortunately the beer was not good. Tried a flight, but all the beers tasted virtually the same and all had the same horribly bitter finish. A real shame because it's such a cool place otherwise. read more

Awesome beer! The food on the other hand is inconsistent, mediocre at best, and has taken FOREVER the past few times I was there. Literally an hour and a half. Maybe they have new people in the kitchen. Either that or they have one person cooking back there. Either way Ill be going back for the beer, but definitely not the food. read more

Disclaimer: I've regrettably become a beer snob because I have easy access to highly sought after Vermont beers. Having said that, my wife and I ate dinner here July 7th and could not be any more pleased with the food, staff, atmosphere and location. My wife ordered the catch of the day which was delicious, I ordered the burger which was as good a burger as you could hope for, and the sweet potato wedges were great. I really enjoy citrus, hazed IIPA's, the Cashmere was good, but could be better. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is the family style seating, I'm not a fan of it. There are times when I don't want to share a table, or ask someone if I can share their table. read more

Great place. Loved the NH mushroom and quinoa salad. Other people's dishes were good but I totally won. Enjoyed the pale ale but would do the sampler next time. read more

Love this place. Amazing food. Great selection of beers. Our server Kelly was the best and so helpful, she added a lot to our experience and was very knowledgable. We got a few flights to try different beers and Hank's Pale Ale was my personal favorite. The poutine was killer and very traditional if you've ever had it in Quebec. I got the Duck Pastrami sandwich and it was so tasty. The kale and couscous salad was also delicious. Love the environment and the vibe and will definitely be back. read more

A group of friends and I go to the seaside every year in August. Last year we ate lunch at a seafood place and later on visited Throwback to taste beer. I saw some of their food offerings and read the food menu and wished we had chosen Throwback for lunch. This year we did have lunch there and everyone enjoyed their food. Vegetarian burgers, gluten free wings, fish tacos and squash fritters were all enjoyed along with a variety of beer and a very refreshing rose'. read more

Not easy to find, but when you do just kick back and hang out in a parking lot in a warehouse area. Get a sampler and if its nice just hit the pavement. They have some great beers and some I did not like, but you gotta give them all a try. $1 per tasting but they fill it up. We went on a beautiful day so it was great to just sit and chill. No scenery at all, but that's what makes some of these little craft breweries so unique. They are not looking to show off, just make good beer. We went on a Friday afternoon and at least a dozen people came in and out filling up their growlers. read more

Stopped here on Sunday afternoon. The black bean burger was delicious. Loved that it was topped with a slaw. I got the sweet potato salad as a side. It was so good! read more

This is my second visit to Throwback. I wanted to like the place but it has disappointed me twice now. First time, bartender was rude and overcharged me. Second time the Throwback Burger was the blandest burger I have ever been served...and I did not like any of the 4 beers (I ordered a flight) that I sampled. Only way I will go back is if someone visits me and wants to check it out. It is just not worth it. read more

Excellent location for a brewery with very friendly service. Food was delicious but, as others have noted, the portion size is way too small for the price. The beer was good--especially the brown ale and the white ale. Please consider heartier servings; visitors to breweries don't expect tapa sized servings. read more

Excellent choice of brews. Good food, though not a large choice. Sat inside, small but enjoyable. Wait staff excellent and very knowledgeable. You can sit outside if you'd like on a cooler day. read more

Good when you are seated at the bar but leaving your table and waiting in line for a drink feels like a frat party. Food is inconsistent - when they are on their game, they are outstanding but we have been there when they have been subpar. Generally the staff is friendly and on a summer night outside, you can't beat the ambience. read more

Really great place to have some good food and brew. Nice seating area outside with a great view of the farm. Service is good and I recommend the pulled pork buns. read more

Wish we lived closer and could visit this great brewery more often. We will certainly be back on our next visit to NH.

It was my first visit to the new location and I ordered the Chorizo Bowl. It was by far the best meal I have ordered out since going gluten free (over a year ago)! It was delicious and I cannot wait to go back again! read more

What a delightful place. My wife and I have been three or four times now, and enjoyed every visit. The outside dining area is so nice, we haven't even tried the inside yet. An amazing selection of beers, something like 15-20 available at any one time. You can also get a very reasonably priced flight of four if you want to sample around. Nice menu with foods well chosen to complement the beers, and excellent service. Also the fact that they are buy Hobbs farm gives a local grown feel to everything they do. Really enjoyed the wings, the burgers, and the specials menu. Definitely a new go to spot for us. read more

good beer, great service, and a good price on the tasters. the beet belgian was of particular interest.
