Obstacle Course - hard as hell!
Tinika W.

Tik Tok Brought me here and t was LIT! Took a random road trip to CT to find some thrills and man that's exactly what it was. Coming with adults is just as fun as it is with kids. It's SO much to do between the crazy obstacle courses, zip lining, arcade games, and trampoline park. We even did VR and Gyro Ride. We purchased the deluxe tickets and it was two hours of nonstop fun and laughter.

Wow, I did not know what to expect before coming here - what a fun place. Let me throw this out in the beginning I'm 35 years old and came with friends - no kids. I felt like I was on American ninja warrior! Obstacles have different challenge levels for all body types and falling is actually part of the fun! We stayed 2 hours and the price was reasonable. Staff do not bother you, it's kind of a free for all which I liked a lot. My only complaint was with the ax throwing station, which was a waste for $5... Other than that we all had a blast and I cannot wait to come back. Don't forget to charge your phone, because you will want to take a bunch of videos! A+

I LOVED this place. For starters; we went kn a Sunday around 4pm and it wasn't as crowded as it can get too. We did notice an influx of arrivals in our way out. You have a 2-hr window to enjoy yourself. They give you wrist band colors to match your time. The wait for the different obstacles was little to none, so worth it. If you're too nervous about the spread of the virus, you may not want to go here as there are people present. EVERYONE wore a mask and the staff were wiping down machines all the time. I would totally recommend this place to anyone. Make sure you purchase their socks too. It's better for the flooring :)

Laser Tag!

Our "party coordinator" was amazing. Sad I didn't catch his name. He guided us and prepped everything. We just had to worry about having fun. Even though it was packed with a group from several charter buses. He made it as fun as plausible. I recommend this place for sure. Just make sure there are no charter buses scheduled lol!!! Just found out his name was Justin. Thank you Justin for all you did!!

As a momma of 5 during COVID, getting these kids active and out of each other's hair has been something else! Safe practices of social distancing, everyone wearing masks, hand sanitizing stations through the establishment, and laser tag specifically ONLY for YOUR group. A great time out of the house and away from online school. Highly recommend for all you mommas who need a break from the everyday routine. Check them out.

No Charlie horse yet

This place was fun AF! I felt like a little big kid being that my friend and I were the only adults nearly 30 years old and jumping off of the ropes like Tarzan and Jane of the jungle. I did catch a solid 8 Charlie horses doing all of this and my hips hurt the same night but it was worth it. Maybe next time I'll stretch and show these kids how to do these courses even with a damn Charlie horse!

Log roll fun!

Considering the fact that 3 hours of unlimited attractions is $43 on its own, the Level Up package is a deal! Plus, I don't have to limit my kids' activities so everyone is happy. My boys loved the Dark Ride, which is an interactive ride with shooting elements, and the bumper cars. There was also a ropes course, rock wall, ninja warrior course, and a ballocity play area. The only bummer was that the mini bowling was out of order, and I know my sons would have loved that.

Geared towards the younger crowd, adults can partake in the play which was pretty cool. There was enough excitement from the various obstacles to provide a thrill, old and young alike. This was definitely the highlight of the entertainment center. Safety wasn't an issue and there was enough supervision even with the additional risks. There are many arcade games but 1/3 of the games seemed to be out of order for my trip. Not sure if that is because of the package my group paid for. Honestly most of the games were stale. The bumper cars were of the kiddie variety and used levers for movement instead of a steering wheel so it was a little less bump which takes away some of the fun. The overall drive space was smaller so the bumps were more like nudges. The scary 3D movie experience also didn't provide the thrill I was expecting. The aroma of buttery popcorn is very prevalent everywhere in the center, so much so that I swear it's on purpose to make you buy popcorn. The pizza was not impressive but I suppose standard for the course. During my visit the wait for the concession lines were really long. The floors were well cleaned and maintained which is a nice change from the normal food stained floors of most kiddie entertainment centers.

I like the mix of rides for big and small kids and that they are in separate areas. Lines weren't bad and went fairly quickly. The water park does not have a ton of shading, more umbrellas in the area would be nice and like always people put their towels down and don't return to the chairs. Picnic tables or some sort of eating area in the water area would be nice.

The rides were running with several open chairs which contributed to hour long waits for each ride. Security was called a couple times for line cutters and the response was to just let them keep their spot and ride the ride. The haunted houses were a joke - we waited in line for one of them for 30 minutes and were not even close to half way through because it hadn't moved more than a couple yards forward. There is no reason why those shouldn't have been close to continuous, the houses are just walk throughs! The food lines were also ridiculous, we sat in a fried dough line for 30 minutes because the staff were chatting instead of putting the pre fried dough on plates, it was already cooked they literally just had to put the toppings on it. Also they were absolutely using dirty oil or something for the fried dough, mine was inedible. Tasted like they'd been frying chicken or fish or something in it prior to the dough. Crowds really were not that bad either, we have been to this event on more crowded nights but the place was just ran so poorly you couldn't actually do any of the things advertised. Overall the experience was awful, especially compared to past years. Usually the food is great and the houses are all great but this year was terrible, we will not be returning any time soon.

The park has multiple parking lots with one main entrance. Parking was easy, but I definitely recommend completing the online waiver before you arrive; it makes the check-in process much faster. I also suggest purchasing your tickets in advance since popular dates can sell out. There were so many water activities to choose from that everyone in the family could find something fun to do. I was impressed by how many lifeguards were stationed throughout the park, which made me feel that safety was a priority. The atmosphere was lively, family-friendly, and full of people enjoying the day. There's an open-air food court with a variety of food, drinks and seating area. The scenery is beautiful, and the former quarry makes for a unique backdrop you won't find at a typical water park. A few tips for first-time visitors: * Wear water shoes; they'll make walking around much more comfortable. * Bring sunscreen, towels, and plenty of water. * Complete your waiver and buy your tickets online before arriving to save time. * Check the park's website before your visit for hours, weather updates, and any activity restrictions. Overall, Brownstone is a great destination for families, groups of friends, or anyone looking for an adventurous summer day in Connecticut. I'd definitely come back!

We visited as guests for a birthday party. The facility is spacious with lots of fun activities,…read moreand the kids had a great time overall. However, I think the staff need better training and more consistent supervision. The ball pit is about 3 feet deep, which can be difficult for younger toddlers to climb out of. I witnessed a mother ask a staff member for help because her toddler was stuck. Instead of assisting, the staff member simply stepped into the ball pit and asked the toddler if they could climb out. The child was clearly unable to, which was the reason the mother had asked for help in the first place. In the end, the mother had to climb into the ball pit herself to get her child. Then at the race car track, staff allowed toddlers who were below the recommended height to ride. I personally didn't think this was a major safety concern since the cars have seat belts. However, after one toddler had started riding, the staff asked the child's mother to remove them because they couldn't drive properly. I understand that other children were waiting (including mine), but if staff decide to allow younger children to participate, they should let them enjoy the full experience unless the parent chooses to end it early. The most disappointing experience happened at the Sky Rider attraction. Children under the height requirement were being allowed to ride, but when it was my son's turn, he was stopped and told he was too small. The child in front of him was visibly shorter and had already been allowed to ride several times. Naturally, my son was very upset. I spoke with the staff member to understand why the rules were applied differently. His response was that after he made the comments, he let my son ride once, but "he got sour and ran away." That comment was unnecessary and unprofessional. My son is on the spectrum, and assumptions like that can be especially hurtful. More importantly, all children should be treated fairly. Overall, the playground itself is excellent and offers plenty for kids to enjoy. My biggest concern is the lack of professionalism in some staff interactions.

The check-in area was very crowded due to the many birthday parties, and the long line was also confusing. At first, a staff member approached us and asked if we had completed the waiver. By the time we finished it, the line looked even more confusing. I had to stop another staff member to clarify whether we were in the right line. It turned out we weren't. The front desk staff responsible for check-in seemed overwhelmed and stepped away twice, so it was a little chaotic just trying to get in. The rest was fun, though. They have a spacious seating area for adults, and overall it felt pretty safe for kids.

There were just a handful of activities they really couldn't do. That being said, I saw a bunch of toddlers who were also having a blast. The namesake slide was closed all morning, which was a bummer, but I'm also not sure my kids would have actually done it. We used a Groupon and had no issues redeeming when visiting on a Friday morning. We were instructed to complete the waivers at the kiosks near the entrance. We did have to purchase the mandatory socks which was $18 for three (3) pairs. Before proceeding to the play areas, we put our things in the little cubes they have for storage...i.e. shoes, bags, etc. Keep in mind these are open cubes which anyone can access. I never felt unsafe in leaving our things there...but as always, there is a risk. It was not very crowded on a Friday morning at around 10:30am (they open at 10) so it was a pleasure navigating the space with minimal crowds. There are lots of areas to enjoy for both adults and children. The main area has trampolines as well as some interactive areas where you jump to tap buttons and two video screens where you mimic the movements on screen...both area great. There are a few obstacle courses: ninja, balance beam, and swing pit. The basketball area is also great with a cushioned surface, two hoops, and targets where you can throw balls at. There are two huge slides in the center which are fun. Finally, there a "rock climbing" area with a few different climbing options. You must have the "climb" option added to your pass in order to use it though. You will be belayed during the climb. Be mindful that the gripped socks provided do NOT offer the best grip while climbing in my opinion...climbing was much more difficult that I experience in traditional rock climbing places that provide rock climbing shoes...then again, maybe it is just me. There is a food area which sells some snacks: soft drinks, chips, candy. There are also a few tables nearby where you can eat. Overall we had a great time here...the space was very clean and well-maintained. All staff we encountered were very nice. Be sure to check ahead if visiting with toddlers as there are some restrictions on which areas they are able to visit.
