I've been hooked since I tried it 2 years ago, and no one comes close to it. Their pastries are really fresh and delicious and the atmosphere is so relaxing. The inside of the restaurant has a really rustic feel to it, and they had some good indie tunes playing in the background, which made for good ambience. The service was very fast, and we had our food within 10 minutes. We both had one of the breakfast burritos, a mimosa, and split a chocolate croissant. All of the food was really delicious and you can tell that it was made in house. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting!

I saw affogato on the menu and since that is one of my favorite snacks, I had to try it. Not sure if it was the unsweetened espresso, but I didn't really like the flavor of that particular coffee and I felt like it was a little sloppy, they handed it to me with the coffee already poured over the ice cream, which if you know this dessert means those first few seconds and first couple of bites are the most precious when the hot coffee meets the cold ice cream, but hasn't fully cooled off yet itself. in the coffee itself is good quality & I'm sure I would come back and enjoy a latte again in the future!

A very cozy atmosphere with couches and tables (which respectfully ask you to limit table time). Like much of the Breck staff, they were very friendly and prompt with the coffee order. I'm not sure how they do it with the tourism rush! On the note of coffee, I'm not the biggest fan of iced drinks in paper cups. That seems to be a common practice in town. It doesn't work well with iced drinks, but I'm probably an insane tourist that always orders iced drinks in the Winter. Check it out though, even just if it's just for the food.

I remember being somewhat impressed with this French bakery when I first visited it over 10 years…read moreago...but on my recent trip to Breckenridge, I left a bit puzzled. The layout of this bakery is super-tight for one (NOT comfy!), and the bakery selection is quite small. For some reason, I remember the selection being much bigger in the past. I've been to so many bigger-better bakeries in the past decade, this one was just a huge let-down. In any case, I just tried their Ham & Cheese Crepe, with a Latte w/ Cream. Well, again, so disappointing! The Ham & Cheese Crepe was just SO basic (no fruits, no whipped cream, nothing!). Also, it was poorly made...with the cheese only in the middle section. I thought I misordered! The taste was also BLAH...I kept thinking, this CAN'T be the same bakery I visited years ago, is it??? Also, the presentation (if you can even call it that!) was beyond bad. The crepe and the latte was delivered in cheap paper...not even a logo. OMG...basically a dive in terms of a bakery. I'm kinda amazed at the high ratings here. I mean, really?!? Sadly, I don't think I'll be returning here on my future trips.

Everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression. We sampled a little bit of everything: the fried cinnamon roll, bear claw, blueberry donut, and the ham and cheese omelette with hash browns. There wasn't a weak item in the bunch. The omelette was fluffy, loaded with ham and cheese, and paired perfectly with crispy, well-seasoned hash browns. The blueberry donut was fresh and soft, but the true stars were the fried cinnamon roll and the bear claw. Both had incredible texture, weren't overly sweet, and tasted like they were made fresh that morning. They're the kind of pastries you'll still be thinking about later in the day. In a town with no shortage of breakfast options, Daylight Donuts stands out by delivering excellent food, friendly service, and an operation that handles the morning rush with ease.
