Cinnamon raisin bagel
Suzanne A.

This is a cute little coffee shop right off of South St in Queen Village. It's small with about 5 tables and bar stool seating. The space is crisp and clean in mostly white with bistro chairs and bench seating. Outdoor seating is available in nicer weather. The staff were very nice and helpful in explaining the food options. I was happy to learn they use a homemade chai tea concentrate! It was very good with a lot of chai flavor. So many places get chai tea wrong but not here. I really enjoyed this chai latte! The bagels were also very good. The outside was a little crusty with a chewy inside. They can be toasted or not. The cinnamon raisin was just right. Of course my friend and I also shared a brownie that was soooo good!

Got a vegan lemon blueberry scone - it was really yummy. Nice and soft and the flavors weren't too strong. Definitely recommend trying - went back to get another one!

The best spot, we absolutely love it! Ambiance & coffee quality is great! Service is very good! No bad things to say. We also love that it is quiet, no loud talking, no chatter from or between barristers. Just great

Sparkling yuzu matcha & honey lavender latte

Cute modern cafe- more of a grab and go vibe than a work/study spot. Sparkling yuzu matcha latte was delicious and the honey lavender latte was the best one I've had!

Strawberry matcha latte

Good coffee with fun options. This summer they have strawberry flavoring you can add to coffee and matcha options. Small seating options usually just grab and go.

I don't know which i loved more the ambiance, the fact that dogs were allowed, or the coffee.

Splendid new spot in Queen Village with great covid precautions, great coffee drinks, and great carbohydrates right by the register.

DRINKS I had their iced mocha. I liked that it wasn't too…read moresweet, but I did not enjoy the grainy texture of the chocolate. The flavor also felt off, tasting more like binding ingredients in chocolate candy rather than a actual chocolate. FOOD Located next to Machine Shop, most guests don't come here for pastries, but they do have a limited selection of donuts and croissants. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly. It's a small storefront so the line can seem quite long, but they are efficient in filtering people through. AMBIANCE Located in the Bok Building, there's ample seating in the general seating area right by and behind the storefront. The space is shared with other guests visiting Machine Shop and the stores in Bok. I saw some people working/studying, but it can get quite busy/loud. PARKING Paid street parking is available at a limited capacity. Most people park in neighboring streets or take the bus. BATHROOMS Bathrooms are located throughout the building.

My family and I got breakfast at Enswell during our stay in Philadelphia. This swanky, hip place…read moreoffers up elevated tasty food and superb service in an exquisitely decorated, albeit small, cafe. We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

I thought this place was very cute. Outdoor limited seating…read moreand indoor area as well. The appeal was to get a quick read in amd have my pup with me. I felt like I ordered the wrong combination. I was able to do an egg sandwich and swap for sourdough bread vs eng muffin. Love that. Didn't love the copper sharp cheese that was a bit messy and tangy. I kept thinking they must have added some type of sauce on it. I'd much rather come back for a simple fried egg combo and chedda cheese. I was also offered sparkling water, but I do wish it had more fizz. The service start to finish was superb in friendly and fast service. I'd come back for mimosa/bar for sure.
