Food is decent, but overpriced. Ambiance is a solid 'meh', certainly not consistent with the prices.

The place has an awesome vibe and I love that they have live music! Service was great as well! Good spot to go hang out and have a drink at the bar. Food is just mediocre. Brussels are super fried and instantly hurt our stomachs! Everything else was meh... (steak, scallops, calamari) The spinach and artichoke dip was tasty though. We love a good meal and nothing here was up to par to come for food. read more

Been wanting to try this place for awhile now. Went tonight with my fiancé and wasn't disappointed. You enter via a small wine store which I thought was unique the food is excellent. We had the cheese platter as an appetizer which consisted of 3 unique cheese slices. For a main I decided to try the blackened gulf red fish which was one of their weekly specials. Perfectly cooked while still moist and seasoned just right. I wasn't fond of our waiter being a little slow on being attended to but that's okay. read more

If you want a leisurely meal. This is the place. Dinner prices a bit steep but lunch is a good deal

In an effort to give every negative review a second chance, I ventured to Three Blind Mice for lunch two days in a row. T H E S C E N E I find myself in a bit of the same pickle as I was in my prior review. I was working in the area for two days and decided to eat lunch there. I am a yelper who roots for businesses to succeed! So I thought I'd start off my two day food journey with the item I loved the most from my previous visit, the shrimp and grits! Not only did I think this would be a slam dunk for them, it also gave me the opportunity to see if I still love it as much as I did back in 2013. Sadly, I didn't like it... or I should more correctly say I didn't like it as much as I did 4 years ago! --- T H E F O O D * LOW COUNTRY SHRIMP N' GRITS | $15 (3 stars) Generally speaking, I have a strong memory when it comes to food. If I like something once (and you make it the exact same way), chances are I'm going to like it again the next time... no matter how many years are in between that last bite and the next. It drives my wife insane because I can taste when she has done something different to a dish that I love! I remember how blown away she was once that I could tell she'd change the cheese and mayonnaise brand on one particular dish. Although the owner told me the recipe is the same, I can honestly say if the shrimp and grits I tasted 4 years ago had been the same as the ones I had today (3/7), I would not have love them! I really disliked the coarseness of the grits and overall the dish needed more salt. From what I recall of my first visit, the shrimp and grits were perfect. * SMOKED TURKEY RACHEL | $9 (5 stars) The following day (3/8) I returned to try the Smoked Turkey Rachel sandwich. All the staff highly recommended it and said it was the primary sandwich they eat every day. So I went with their recommendation and it was spot on! This sandwich is absolutely DE-licious and truly backs up my theory from previous reviews that states: "no matter how much you dislike the food at a restaurant, there's probably at least one menu item that would surprise you." Maybe it was the mood I was in (looking for a lighter lunch), but the sandwich was nearly perfect in every way. My only wish was for the turkey to have been a little hotter! Some bites were warm while others were borderline cold. You have a choice of sides. I selected the pommes frites, which were the perfect complement to the sandwich! --- S E R V I C E / A T M O S P H E R E As stated in my previous review and in many other reviews, the Pottery Barn-ish decor here is beautiful! Other than the entrance being cluttered with a bunch of wine bottle shelves, the remainder of the decor is very attractive. As far as service, if I'm being honest, I was annoyed with my server at first. She drifted between taking my order and talking to other people and at one point just walked away. I must have looked annoyed because another server came to see if I had been taken care of and we began a conversation about the best menu items to order. Soon after, the 1st server came back and indicated to the other server I was her table, but then left again! So I continued my menu conversation with the other server when several minutes later the 1st server returned again announcing that 'nature had called'. At that point the girl I thought was going to be my server abruptly ended our discussion and for a moment I felt a little bounced around. Service got better after that with the 1st server, but initially it was off to a rough start. --- F I N A L T H O U G H T S So I'm back to being in the same position as my first review of questioning just what is the right rating in terms of star value. By my calculations, my cumulative food experiences are 3 stars + 3 stars + 5 stars = 3.67. But, I'm going to default to my two most recent experiences giving me a 4 star average! The Smoked Turkey Rachel is worth a 1 star bump all by itself and I'm happy to have giving this place another chance (or two). As for the Shrimp n' Grits, disregard my last review for I am no longer a fan! However, if I find myself in the area again, I will definitely return for the Rachel or one of three other menu items that caught my eye: the Croque Monsieur, the Peach Salad and the Montecristo. 2017/40 read more

I've been wanting to go here for years! I live 1 minute away. My husband came in on Friday for lunch. The decor is beautiful! The lighting is great! Our server was attentive and friendly enough. I ordered 1/2 blt and 1/2 Greek salad. My husband ordered 1/2 Caesar and 1/2 Rachel. The food took a little longer than expected to come out. My meal was just OK. They didn't put feta on the salad but our server brought me some so all was well there. My husband loved his meal. As a restaurant manager I noticed a lot of things I wouldn't allow such as 6 tables being dirty from the moment we walked in and as we were walking out. The ladies next to us had their empty plates in front of them while they were chatting. The hostess seemed annoyed to be there. I will be back some other time to try it again. I definitely wasn't wowed by service or product. I will update review upon my 2nd visit! read more

I went as a new customer to this restaurant. Sat at the bar. I thinking then way people were sitted this place was practicing social distancing. 10 minutes later what seems to be their friend sat next to me w/ his wife or girlfriend. Making feel very uncomfortable. The bartender came and asked if everything was ok. I said to close needed my space. She offered to move me, instead of her friend. I asked why should I move. Then she went to tell her friend that I felt uncomfortable. Then the the friend turned to me and asked me, do you feel uncomfortable " to avoid any issues I said no, "I'm fine" i actually felt uncomfortable and threatened. needless to say. Balrtender w/ tattoos never came to ask for my order or the thicker girl with a sweater. I just paid for me tab and left. Ver l disappointed. For what they did and the poor service I experienced. read more

great food, great atmosphere, great service. Very friendly and attentive wait staff. I highly recommend it.

Been here different times of the day and the service is always amazing! The people are always checking in to see if you're doing good. The drinks are delicious and have the right amount of alcohol. I've had lunch and breakfast and the foods is just as good. The decor of this place is also cute! Definitely would love to come back here soon read more

My friend told me about TBM some time ago and we finally ended up going late on a Wednesday night not long before closing at around 9:30pm. Honestly, all he had to say was great wine selection and I would have probably made my visit sooner. The ambience was somewhat Rustic yet contemporary which made for a very cozy atmosphere. We decided to sit at the bar and was greeted by a very friendly bartender. Even though we walked in not long before closing, our bartender took the time to get a idea of which wine we might like so she could offer suggestions. We decided to get a couple of appetizers to go along with our red wine so I ordered the brussel sprouts which is typically my go to appetizer if it is on the menu. My friend ordered the calamari. The portions were small even for appetizers. My brussel sprouts were bland, I had to add lots of salt and pepper and even then they were very basic I will probably not order them again. My friend's calamari was not very flavorful either but the sauce it came with helped out. I did not read the reviews till after my visit which is totally not like me so next time I will try the shrimp and grits. I am giving 3 stars for the stellar customer service, cool atmosphere, and the great wine. This is a spot I would meet up with my girlfriends at and it is also good for date night. read more

Love the seasonal menu and weekly specials. Always try the fish! They have live music on Thursdays and Saturdays and sometimes at brunch Sundays. Always doing something special for holidays or special wine tastings, craft beer nights, cocktail classes. This place is fun! And Chef Manny rocks the back of the house, kitchen is phenomenal! Bartender Kimmie always on point too. One of my favorite date night spots but also enjoy taking the family for nice dinners too. read more

If there was a way to leave -stars I would! Not only was the service atrocious by a waitress named Shary P. She or who ever inputs credit cards charges into their system FRAUDULENTLY added a 20% gratuity to my credit card! I clearly marked my receipt with "attitudes don't get tipped" along with the same words Shary said to us "we are done"! I've already disputed the $6 fraudulent tip with my bank now onto the BBB! A visit during Gwinnett Restaurant Week left me Gwinnett Restaurant Weak. I really wanted to like this place. I grew up just a few miles away, went to Parkview HS, and am so proud of this area for finally building an in-town quality establishment out in Gwinnett. I also wanted to rave about how awesome the food is, but since the appetizer made me sick before I could even get to a main or dessert (opted for the prix fixe menu)... I cannot say all those things. What I can say is that they do not completely disclose all their ingredients on the menu. While there are flags for gluten, vegetarian, and even a couple dishes mentioning wine, I very quickly discovered this information was not universally revealed. You see, I am highly sensitive to any alcohol in dishes at this particular time due to some medication I am on. That means no drinking it, eating it, or even using it in mouthwash or hand sanitizer. I've made the mistake before, and it's not pretty or fun. So how did it happen here? Well, as I always do, I peruse the menu to see if they call out specific ingredients. If so, like they did here, then I stay away from the ones I can't have and order away at the one's I can. If it's not listed at all, I ask. But it was listed on some of the dishes... Queue about 5 minutes after trying the appetizer. Tell tale signs appear. I know exactly what happened. We call over the waitress. Us: "Does this dish have alcohol in it? We didn't see it listed on the menu..." Response: "Why, do you have a buzz?" Us: "No seriously, does this have alcohol in it?" Response: "We like to cook with wine here" I'd like to say this was an urban chic restaurant with warehouse filament lighting, an upscale bar with delightful, custom cocktails and craft beers. A place where the signature dish, Shrimp and Grits, made all my dreams come true. But wait, I ordered the shrimp and grits... and couldn't eat it because of the sherry or whatever alcohol vapors were rising up to great my face. I'd love to say all those things. But the service was lackluster, couldn't get a refill on our water or teas to save our life, and I ended up sicker than a dog because they didn't divulge ingredients completely. But I'm going to go back. I'm going to go back and explicitly state this little alcohol conundrum and see if anything changes. Because this place could be awesome, but wasn't for me. read more

Cute decor, awesome beer selection!! See how they run! (yeap, pretty much had the half of the rhyme that I could remember running through my head the entire time I was there). We found this little gem when a vendor we were meeting recommended this spot as a meet-up. Ok, easy to find, easy parking, cute decor. We sat down at the bar and we were handed a drink menu. NICE. Very very respectable beer selection and the bartender knew his stuff! This was totally unexpected given the location (Lilburn, who knew you had a place like this?). We perused the menu after finishing our drinks and were intrigued enough to stay for dinner. The menu had solid choices, no surprises. We ordered a fish (salmon) and the shnitzel. The food was good! I thought the portions were quite large (I had enough for an entire shnitzel and cabbage lunch the next day). The meat was done well, moist and tender, and everything had good flavor. The wait staff here are super sweet, and I would definitely come here again if I were ever in the area. read more

"Birds of a feather flock together, so do pigs and swine, rats and mice have their chance, as will I have mine..." -- "Die Hard with a Vengeance" (1995) We came here for Gwinnett Restaurant Week and were presented with a great menu with plenty of options (3 courses, $21.21). Each course, we had 3 options to choose from, which was excellent (compared to our previous GRW2013 outing). It has taken me forever to finish this review as I wanted to write something more positive and it just brings down the entire experience when the service is lackluster. When you can't even get a refill of your water (and while they were busy, they were not THAT busy), you know your service is going to be bad. Now the food was delicious and I would go here again and give them another chance - but I know it won't be during a restaurant week and it won't be on any kind of night that might have some traffic (just to see). I enjoyed my selected dishes - Fried Green Tomatoes, Chicken Francese (holy cow it was a HUGE portion) with orzo and spinach and Sticky Toffee Pudding with a Bourbon Caramel. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned and I would order them again. However, their menu lacked some attention to detail (please not my friend Trevor W.'s review for more on that: http://www.yelp.com/biz/three-blind-mice-lilburn#hrid:yS6RTDyJ_R5nru2rMYD_xA). And being someone with food allergies (FYI, I always alert the server to them), this is an important distinction for me. I just wish our server was better. She was super nice, friendly, but did not care about her job or giving us good service. Luckily for me, they did the auto-gratuity, so she did not get any extra from me (I am a solid minimum 20% tipper). I hope they improve their quality of service and menu definitions and I would like to try them again. read more

I googled my favorite food, Monte Cristo. I then drive all the way to lilburn and order it. They said its only for lunch and not dinner. (No exceptions). So today I double checked the lunch menu and the sandwich is still there. My wife drove over to it the order one for all four of us. NOPE! The lunch menu is only good for monday thru Friday. No lunch on Saturday or Sunday. (WTF) they are open. So tired of trying to get these idiots to make a damn Monte Cristo. We wont be making that trip again. So, WARNING, Dont depend on them or their menus. There is no way of knowing what food they are serving that day. Roll the dice and maybe you will get lucky. read more

I'm glad I slept on the review I was going to give this place. It's a very cool, rustic spot in what I consider to be not that great an area. Obviously, things are changing in Lilburn, however. We arrived around 12:30pm for a late lunch yesterday and the restaurant was about half full. Great décor, the bar looks spectacular and the booths & tables are very unique in their design. Seated immediately without a reservation, we thought we were off to a good start. BTW, even if you don't use Opentable.com, restauranteurs need to know what it is. This is the second place in a month that responded, "Yes, we have an open table", when I asked if they used the Opentable system. Ugh; first-world problems... Anyway, we sat down, looked over the menu and I explained that we were in a bit of a hurry...we need to be at a funeral down the street by 1:30pm. Full disclosure, right? We took a few minutes and asked a few questions, but our order was in about 10 minutes after we got there. We talk and comment about how cool the décor is and realize that 20 minutes have passed and we haven't seen the waitress. Now we're at the point where we've got 15 minutes left to eat before we've got to leave. We flag down our waitress, who apologized profusely, explaining that one of the owners came in (after we sat down) with a large to-go order that was placed in front of ours, as well as the table next to us who was seated when we got there. Excuse me? We gave you 40 minutes to produce two sandwiches, told you up-front that we were on a schedule and you still can't feed us? In my book, there's no excuse for that. She returned to the kitchen and came back without our food, saying that the chefs were working on it, and that we would get to-go boxes...well, crap! I haven't eaten all day and now I have to go to a funeral where we won't get to eat until at least 3:30! She ran off again and at 1:20pm, I head for the door. She met me at the bar, I paid and we got out of there, but I was effing mad. I tipped her a full 20% because it wasn't her fault, but the owner should have paid it, not me. All that aside, I'm enjoying my to-go Pesto chicken sandwich as I write this. My mixed greens kept OK overnight, but the sandwich is still pretty good for $9. I've decided to give them a second chance at some point and not to penalize them with two or three stars, in the hopes the owners will read this and learn from their mistakes. I hate that this was my first experience here... read more

This restaurant is close to us and we tried so hard to like it. The food is decent when served hot, but the service has never been good. In the many times we have been there, the service topped out at "OK". Today, after being seated, it took someone 15 minutes to notice us, and it was a food runner who finally did, not a server. We did not have anything other than water on our table for 35 minutes. The drinks came after the food. We will not be back. Enough is enough. read more

This is my go to lunch spot when I am out antiquing in this neighborhood. The half and half lunch special is well worth the $10 as the ingredients are quality and the portions are just right. Pair it with a glass of wine from their extensive collection and you will linger for quite awhile which they don't seem to mind at all. The summer peach salad won't be around much longer so do try to pop in and treat yourself. Service can be a tad European so keep that in mind if you have a later engagement. Just mention it to your server upfront and all will be well. read more

Sunday morning walk-in. Got here around 11:30 wanting something to cure the hangover. Was greeted by our server after about 5 minutes. Asked for a Bloody Mary and mimosas...unfortunately they don't start serving alcohol till 12:30. We decided to wait. We had a salad as an appetizer. Our meal took a while to get out, but we didn't mind because we were killing time for the drinks. Our food arrived around 12:20. Perfect timing for us to order our drinks. Food I had the Dutch Baby! It was pretty good! It seemed a little undercook at first. I like my pancakes a little darker than how it came out. It comes out in a skillet and the apples are a nice taste with it. Overall the meal was pretty good. My bf ordered an omelette with goat cheese, tomatoes, spinach, green peppers. A side of grits and toast. Unfortunately his omelette was missing all the green stuff. He expressed this to our waiter and she was nice enough to take his meal off the ticket! He enjoyed the grits a lot! Drinks Bottomless mimosas!!! Can't mess this up! Great place locally for a quick meal in an chic ambient restaurant. Great for brunch!

I dropped in on Valentines Day for their price fixe meal and it was worth it. First, this place is pretty trendy and well appointed, but not pretentious. You'll feel comfortable, as the TVs are turned to muted sports. They have an awesome selection of wines and the servers are really knowledgeable. In the kitchen, the chefs definitely put their best into each dish. Their crab cake appetizer was moist and filling, with just enough sauce to accent the dish. The salmon was very moist and well paired with Israeli couscous and kale. I was stuffed and in heaven. read more

Hi, I'll have a big ol' plate of mediocre please. Thank you. Ok, let's be fair - the service is great and I appreciate the attentiveness of the bartender. My wife and I came here for a date night and sat at the bar. The bartender was personable, quick and we have no complaints about the service. The food though - it's absolutely not worth the price. Meat and Cheese Plate - $17 About six slices of sopressata and six slices of another small cured ham plus a small portion of two cheeses. I mean, they were tasty - but nothing overwhelming. I'm assuming they're buying the meats at a grocery store - they didn't look like they were cured in house. Either way - what it comes down to is that, for that price, I expected more quantity (and have gotten plenty more at other restaurants). Pork Saltimboca - $23 When I picture saltimboca in my head I picture a nice piece of pork wrapped in prosciutto. Heck, their menu even describes it as such! It comes out from the kitchen and I raise my hand and ask where the proscuitto is. The waitress looks confused and says "I don't think it's supposed to come with it?" We lift a few pieces of pork and find a small, crisped piece underneath one of them. Oh. Ok. There it is. Kinda. Blue Cheese Bacon Burger - $15 You know what you picture when you see this on a menu. You picture a burger with a huge chunk of blue cheese sitting on top of it. Maybe some buffalo sauce - but not necessarily. Well the burger came out with ... a mix of cheddar melted with something else? I couldn't find any blue cheese and after the issue trying to find the proscuitto I didn't really want to ask. To be clear - the food TASTED good. The pork and mashed potatoes were wonderful. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium rare. No issues there. But - it's not what we ordered or, for the price, expected? I just expect better quality for that price point. They're charging ITP prices - but not delivering ITP level food. read more

I have dined here since they opened. And, every time I have enjoyed my meal. Tonight we started with crab cakes that were delicious. Just crab meat, no filler. We followed the crab cakes with a pear salad. Pear slices with shallots, spinach, blue cheese, candied pecan and a special vinaigrette. I had sea scallops over lentils, for dinner, and my wife had Bavette steak with mashed potatoes. We both enjoyed our meals, the service and the atmosphere. Top five reasons to NEVER eat here: 1-Lunch orders for table of 5 took almost 2 hours to arrive when the restaurant was less than 1/3 full. 2-Never received correct lunch order - was delivered at least 3 orders that were not ours with surprised looks from waiter when we said they weren't ours. 3-Original order was bucket of fires as app & hamburger/ceaser for side; ceaser salad; tomato soup/ceaser salad; tomato soup and turkey/brie panini...this was not complicated. 4-Bill came & they added someone else's entree to our bill. When we asked them to remove it, they said, "so that's a problem?" 5-Comped only our drinks (3 sodas) when they should have (at least) comped the two orders that never arrived correctly (ceaser salad..ummm how can you get that wrong...and soup & ceaser...again, how hard is that?). Add in surly staff and lots of angry looking customers, and you have a restaurant that I will not only never return to but also one I will caution others to never try. read more
