So I ended up buying everything individually which came to about $25 because I ended up ordering cornbread separately as well. The food! I was not particularly a fan of the sweet cornbread with the birthday cake drizzle on top. The Ambiance The restaurant is pretty nice, with a full bar, projection screen and pretty good seating. I am definitely on the fence with this place, maybe I will try the rasta pasta next time.

Inside, the booths and tables were plentiful and they also had a bar that people were dining at and having a great time at also. Cute photo op by the door too. I got the oxtail Rasta pasta and he got the oxtail plate with Mac & cheese and fries. Both dishes came out hot and extremely flavorful. The Mac & cheese also had a bit of BBQ sauce or something drizzled on that added to the sweetness. Oxtail was tender and plentiful. You may look at the prices and get a bit of sticker shock, but the fresh quality and portion you get is 100% worth it. I will be back! My only recommendation is for them to update their hours online, because they were closing around 9pm when online it says they're open until midnight on Fridays.

Then when she finally comes and you ask for the menu she will disappear for 20 minutes. I saw her sitting at the table with other patrons while I'm waiting on the menu. I had to call her out because what's going on in her mind to just stop working while I'm waiting to order food/drink. As I said each visit got worse with her just disappearing before an order was placed. 8/14, was by far the worst night ever with her. We waited 20 mins in the outside sitting area before I went inside to find our waitress. And guess who it is? Yep, the same one. I gave her my food order at 10:20 It didn't get put in. She came to our table at 10:30 with a spiel on a new drink menu. We waiting 20 mins for that but still I assumed she had place the food order. Next comes out drink order finally. I ordered a peach tea. My friend orders a rum/ coke. After 20-30 mins we get our drinks. She actually fucked that up too. I received a crab crown drink while my friend got a cherry cola with rum. Like how did you f that up? The manager came out outside and we told her. She shook her head and said , "I don't know what's wrong with her tonight. It's worse than ever'. Finally got our drinks from the manager. The waitress comes back and say what did y'all order? I said boneless lemon pepper wings. My friend said fries. She ASKS do you want crinkle or straight? He orders straight. I wonder why wasn't the order for the wings not placed a long time ago at 10:20. I kid you not, I got my wings(20 piece) at 11:43. Now I'm asking where are the fries. Oh they're coming. 10 freaking mins later she brings us crinkle fries. I said, we asked for straight. She responded, oh I won't charge you for them. My friend was so disgusted by the whole night that he got up and went to the car. I got the bill and guess what, she indeed charged us for the fries. I paid the exact total and left. How does Legends have such a terrible waitress? Oh, at one point she came to our table while taking the drink order and was vaping. Not professional at all! I will never go to Legends again!

Recently, I made my way out to Grayson, GA, to check out Cornbread & Butter. It was an absolute vibe from the moment I walked through the door. First off, special shout-out to Chef Jernard Wells. I hadn't been to Grayson in a while, and I was so delighted to see all the incredible local upgrades. I stopped in early for brunch and even caught a glimpse of Chef Ingraham. The interior aesthetics are effortlessly warm and welcoming. The staff was on their A-game. They were super friendly and eager to seat me right away. As I settled into my table, Anthony Hamilton's classic Best of Me started playing and I was at ease. When it came time to my order, I decided to get the Sweet Potato Waffle and the Salmon Bites. Everything came out perfectly hot and fresh. The Sweet Potato Waffle was massive. Much larger than I expected and delightfully dense. It arrived topped with caramelized smashed sweet potatoes. It was so rich and tasty that I knew right away I'd be taking most of it home for round two! The Salmon Bites were an absolute revelation! Lightly battered and flash-fried. They were cooked to perfection with virtually no excess oil. I don't think I've ever had salmon prepared quite like this before. Just like the waffle, the portion was so generous that I couldn't finish it all in one sitting. My to-go box was packed and ready to feed me all over again the next day! This was an incredible outing from start to finish. Between the phenomenal comfort food, the welcoming community atmosphere, and the stellar hospitality, Cornbread & Butter has easily won me over. After two previous visits, we were finally able to make a reservation and actually experience brunch. First, I want to say that the staff were genuinely kind. We were greeted and seated right away, and the manager was very apologetic once they became aware of our experience. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. We were a party of four, and we waited almost three hours for our food. We placed our drink orders and waited about 45 minutes without receiving them. Our waitress never brought them out; someone from the kitchen eventually came through, and we stopped her to ask about our drinks. She brought us Arnold Palmers, although that was not what we originally ordered. All four of us ordered the catfish plate with collard greens and macaroni and cheese. The macaroni and cheese was actually pretty good, but the collard greens were extremely salty, so we had to send them back. Unfortunately, the catfish was also much too salty. To make matters worse, my food came out about 15 minutes after everyone else had already started eating. At that point, I asked for my meal to be wrapped up to go. I really do love the concept and potential of this restaurant, and I genuinely want to see them succeed. However, based on our experience, I would not recommend visiting just yet. There are definitely some kinks that need to be worked out, especially with the kitchen and service. We received a sincere apology from management, which I appreciated. I may give them some time to get things ironed out and try again in the future. I really wanted to love this place. Unfortunately, this visit just wasn't it.
