Stopped on our way to Albuquerque. Service was awesome! They had a special of orange marmalade stuffed french toast. Didnt sound good to me so i tried it to challenge myself. It was AMAZING. 10/10 for sure. Best part, they made it gluten free for my wife and also made gf avocado toast!! Sooo good!! Not fast but thats ok cause its a chill environment. My wife and I were heading home from to the valley from Show Low. We saw the sign and stopped in very hungry. I love breakfast and one of my go-to's is Country Fried Steak and eggs. So I would consider myself a Country Fried Steak aficionado. They guys nailed it! The gravy was just right, not too flowery or salty. The best part though was the steak quality! The meat was really really good! No chewy stuff and lots of flavor! My wife got the Breakfast Burrito with turkey sausage and she was really impressed as well! Both plates were more than enough as far as portion goes. We both got breakfast for under $30 with tip and coffee. The staff was warm and friendly and they were doing a great job! Can't say enough good things about this restaurant! My husband & I spent Christmas between Heber & Payson. Driving east one day on our trip, we figured we would stop in Heber for some food. This little gem exceeded our expectations! I have enjoyed reading all the previous reviews - we are all on the same page - this place needs to stay in Heber! Future trips out east will HAVE to incorporate a stop here. We had the chicken pot pie - special of the day. Come to find out our wait staff was Michelle the owner (Mama Bear), & she personally makes the chicken pot pies! We really enjoyed talking with her & hearing about the journey that led her family to open the restaurant. She suggested dessert for us to try. She also mentioned their breakfasts, so we decided that if dinner was this good, we needed to come back to have their french toast, pancakes, & biscuits & gravy. So the next morning, we headed back for more! Michelle helped us 'customize' our menu options so we could try a bit of everything. We love that hospitality from any restaurant. Over the weekend, November 2016, I went to several local restaurants and this one had such a hometown feel that made me smile. The food was well prepared and even when a dish was not up to my standards, they replaced the item to something different without charging extra. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and kind to all that walked into their restaurant. I felt as though I could take my time and did not feel rushed. Our kid loves this place!! He is hooked on their grilled cheese. He typically doesn't order grilled cheese, but theirs is out of the ordinary! I don't know how they make it so tasty!! Even I order a grilled cheese when we eat here! The adult grilled cheese sandwich comes with homemade tomato bisque and it too is VERY tasty!! We were told this menu item is only available in the winter. We had it our first time here, but it was not available last time we visited. My hubby had a burger and he smiled when I asked him if it was good and he just kept on chewing!! Their fries and onion rings are very good too!! In response to those who complain it takes too long to get their food, there is a sign inside the restaurant that states something similar to: "This is not a fast food restaurant. Everything is made fresh when ordered." We have never waited too long, but I can imagine if it is super busy (because the food is so good!!) you will have to wait your turn as the kitchen cooks your meal, and the meals for those who ordered before you, with LOVE!! This is a super cute and clean mom and pop, and I guess baby bear, place to get your food fix!! We appreciate the large parking area!! We can pull our camper in and out with ease!!! Amazing food, amazing service. We went twice in a 2 day period because we loved the staff and the food (once for dining in and once for take out). I recommend the pancakes, they're SO tasty. But beyond that we would come back again because we love supporting small business, especially when the service is so excellent. For instance, we wear masks because our son is recently in remission from cancer and our daughter has asthma. When they saw it would make us more comfortable, all the staff masked up and didn't make us feel awkward about it. When we ordered take out the next day, they called us when the food hit the grill because there was a wait and they wanted us to get our food when it was hot and not have to wait to long in the cold. What a cute little place. From what I understand it is brand new. Some friends and I went to brunch here on Sunday and it was okay. There were about 10 of us in our party and unfortunately they couldn't seat us together (the dining area is small). The waitress was kind, but we didn't see her often. This place was a great find in a small town. Nice staff and owner and very on point with checking in with my wife and I. It shouldn't go un-noticed that around 930 10 am or so a family came in asking if they could serve lunch. Being in their breakfast prime it was kindly explained how they couldn't because of the grill size but referred the next local business and talked about how great they were too. This is what makes small towns rock! They have great food and support their community. We will be back! read more

The Three Bears was such an amazing, cute little cafe. We ordered the burger and country fried steak sandwich. I highly recommend the Fried Steak sandwich! Accidental pancakes are a thing. I joined 6 other motorcycle enthusiasts for what started out as a planned ride to Payson for breakfast. Turned out, about 1,000 other biker-peeps had the same idea so we rerouted to Heber and stumbled upon Three Bear's Cafe. Cute little place. Waitress came by and told us all about their pancake batter and then said these 4 little words: "They taste like cake". Sold. Y'all they do taste like cake. Best. Pancakes. On. The. Planet. She chatted with each table briefly , which was awesome, but still managed to be right on top of orders . The food was great and I will be stopping by whenever we go to the cabin in Heber. Came up to Heber for a UTV ride and grabbed some breakfast before hitting the trails. Michelle the owner is so awesome and the food is amazing!! She makes pancakes of the month and lucky for us we got July and August pancakes. Lemon curd and peach cobbler pancakes and her biscuits and gravy are to die for!!! They're pancakes taste like a delicious vanilla cake and that batter is mixed to order! They support local businesses by using one companies pepper sauce, wish I could remember the name, was yummy! We were warned their food had a flare by the sweet waitress. It did!! The potatoes had Rosemary in them. The sausage gravy has 3 types of sausage in it. And really nice decaf coffee. Something funny I noticed, the ladies room had a regular sized toilet and a smaller one, very thoughtful. Glad we stopped here on our road trip!! read more

BEST place in town for quality service and a decent meal. After a terrible experience at a popular establishment in town, we decided to try Three Bears for our weekly breakfast date. I tend to be picky as far as customer service goes. I figure if I am spending my money to be waited on, I should be made to feel as if I am important rather than a burden. We were greeted immediately by our server. She seated us quickly and gave us a brief run down of the morning special. She was quick on our drink order and our coffee was never empty. This was quite the opposite experience we had at another restaurant in town. Our meals also came quite quickly considering the amount of customers in the restaurant. My husband order the pancakes and they are HUGE. I had the avocado toast with bacon. It was seriously the best bacon I have ever tasted. The owners obviously spend more on quality product. The avocado toast was also very tasty and I would definitely order it again. The prices are a little high for the area but no more pricy than the other restaurant referred to previously. read more

I just want to add that this is the best place to eat in the area! The owner, Michelle (Mama Bear) took great care of us! I ordered the to-die-for strawberry shortcake. I was hesitant at first, but, wound up in pie heaven. My friend ordered the caramel pie and liked it too. Will definitely be back. (I am told my friend already returned for a delicious breakfast.)
