really nice little place! the exterior is super cute and inside is very clean and welcoming. they are fast, friendly, and professional, and the prices are pretty standard (for sf) for the services offered. i would recommend scheduling an appointment rather than just walking in. usha made sure she knew what i wanted and then cleaned up my eyebrows without losing the natural shape or thickness at all. she also gave some advice as to how to keep growing/managing my brows and where to avoid plucking in order to achieve their best shape, which i appreciated! read more

I came here with my boyfriend yesterday and was so glad I did! While $16 for eyebrow threading is not the cheapest I've ever seen, it was still worth every penny. My bf has these GIANT HUGE CATERPILLARS GROWING ON HIS FACE. Usha cleaned them up and made them look like normal luscious eyebrows. He doesn't look over groomed, and they are a very clean natural shape. I also got threaded, and Usha told me that my left eyebrow was a little thin. She pointed out all the patchy spots near the bottom of the brow that I had never noticed! I couldn't believe that I had been going to the same time place I was and getting my eyebrows messed up again and again. I will only be going to Usha from now on. She did a great job cleaning up my brows, though there were a few areas where my skin got pulled. Despite that, I will continue to trust her with my brows because she clearly knows her stuff! Upon reading the Yelp reviews, I decided to try Usha for her threading services. I messaged her on Yelp, and got a response very quickly. She has a chair in a salon, but there's a sign outside letting you know that's where she's located. You'll need to check in at the front desk, sign your name, and indicate what services you're getting. The woman at the front desk seated me and asked if I wanted anything to drink. I just needed water, so I'm not sure what else they offer. When it was my turn to get threaded, Usha was quick and effective in shaping my eyebrows. My eyebrows aren't symmetrical.. one is higher than the other, and an injury also left a slight bump. But she worked her magic and my brows look fantastic! She recommended that I grow them out as much as I can to make them look even as possible for the next time I get threaded. She also did my upper lip. The total came out to $25 (not including tip), which is affordable for me considering I used to pay that much for just an eyebrow wax alone. What I also liked about the way she threads is that I don't feel the tiny hairs all over my face. It's probably by the way the chair is angled. At another location, I have to lay down on a bed, and all the tiny hairs get rained upon my face. Not at Usha's. She does ask that you use your hands to keep the skin taut as she threads, so I recommend washing your hands first in the restroom located in the salon, especially if you use public transit. I recommend getting an appointment. By the time I was finished, there were 2 ladies already waiting and she only had about 15 minutes before she was done for the day. And one walk-in wasn't able to get in. read more

After Usha showed me my brows I was honestly speechless. I have never once had my brows look as perfect as they did when she was done. They looked like they were filled in even though they weren't. The arch was perfect and everything was very clean and crisp looking. My left brow has always had this section that looks like a bald spot and she somehow made it blend in and look even with the rest of my brow without thinning the brow. Prices are very affordable. She has a monthly price that could benefit you depending on how often you need to do threading. I live in Sacramento but will ABSOLUTELY be coming to SF just to get my brows done by her. I always make an appointment because she is really busy but there have been times I have called and gotten in on the same day. Both she and her husband are extremely friendly. She is quick, efficient, and incredible at her job. I have followed her regime for the last year and my brows have finally evened out. They are in the best shape they have ever been in. I've been a loyal VIP customer for over a year. Usha used to be so friendly, accommodating and reliable. Ever since her husband took over I started to notice a difference with the service, the vibes of the salon(bad attitude) and consistency. I've been canceled on multiple times by Usha with very short notice. ever time I go in both Usha and her husband come off very unwelcoming and rude. I've been apart of the VIP monthly unlimited program and I expect to get treated like a loyal customer. Just recently she told me she was going to "up the price" because "I take longer and have more hair than others!!" At first, I was highly upset but I agreed to pay more (even though this is unfair)....two weeks later I come in and her husband told me he's upping the price up even more!! The price of what they are charging is NOT worth the customer experience I receive. I'll be taking my money elsewhere to someone who deserves it and will treat me with respect! Don't waste your time here. EXTREMELY disappointed with how things ended after being a loyal customer for almost two years! read more

Great threading spot on Union Street! Usha is phenomenal. She has great vision and she definitely listens which is so important in an eyebrow stylist. She really understood that I wanted to keep my current shape and didn't want them to be too thin and stuck with that. She is very quick and on time as well! I started visiting Usha for eyebrow threading last March and consistently made appointments every 3-4 weeks as she had recommended. I have sparse brows but they do need to be shaped as they grow in a pretty shapeless way. Usha originally helped me understand where I needed to grow out my brows and said we'd plan around where I needed to grow them out, which I was really excited about. However, after almost a year, the spots that she said I needed to grow out never grew out and my brows always looked a bit messy and without a clear, defined shape since we were always "waiting for them to grow" in certain places. I finally decided to try another salon for my eyebrows and realized that they could have been shaped so much better this whole time, even while addressing parts of my brows that might need a bit of growth. Given the other reviews, I think sparse brows might just not have been something Usha is used to working with. I only took off 2 stars as making appointments was always easy since they have online scheduling/are very accommodating with walk-ins and Usha and her husband have always been wonderful. read more

2 years ago I met USHA and she completely changed my eyebrows for the better (and now there's no going back)! She is the only person I trust to thread my eyebrows (I'd rather go an extra week or two without plucking than see anyone else). Place seems nice but after waiting 15 minutes they let someone cut in front of me because she had "somewhere to be in 30 minutes". After waiting another 15 minutes for this woman to thread her entire face, there was an appointment that they had to take in front of me as well. Poor management and time management. If they had said the wait was 45 minutes when I walked in I wouldn't have stayed. I too have places to go and appointments to make so I had to walk out without even getting my brows done because the woman with the appointment (rightfully so) didn't want to have to wait. I did not have a good experience getting my brows threaded by Usha. The place was simple and clean, but she was rude and radiated bad vibes from when I walked in. I expressed clearly that I did not want threading too high above my brows and into my forehead as it causes me to breakout, but she didn't even acknowledge my request and continued on to do so. She also burped loudly in my face while threading which needless to say, was extremely rude and disgusting (she didn't even say excuse me or apologize!).
