I went in spontaneously yesterday for a Brazilian and to get a full face thread. Backstory I've never actually gotten a Brazilian so walking in I was a bit nervous. After sitting down I told her I was going to opt out of the Brazilian because I was too nervous, which she encouraged me to do. Since she reserved the slot and I requested it I did agree to follow through. She started w the wax. It was quite literally the worst pain ever. Lmfao she ripped off half of the hair in one go and it was already quite grown out. OUCH! Then she proceeded to do the other side which I told her I didn't want to do but again she insisted. And she did the other side in strips but idk I was bleeding, and the skin is bruised. So I did not finish but idk I don't think I'll ever do that one again Eyebrows though came out very nice! And ended up doing a face wax over the thread and it was not as nearly as painful. As much as I would love to give a fantastic review, my groin still burns :/ and she made wait like ten minutes while she mopped before starting. LOL read more

Munira made my first brow threading experience so awesome. I've heard that threading hurts so I've been scared to get my brows threaded, but I notice people with the best brows say they get their eyebrows threaded. I decided to take a chance and the results did not disappoint. Munira made sure I was comfortable in her chair and had me look at my brows in the mirror every step of the way as she was threading the hairs. Afterwards I chose aloe from the options they had soothe my brows. When applying the aloe to my brows it turned into a head massage which was very nice. I've never had a head massage. I will gladly be making a return to get my brows threaded by Munira. read more

Came here while in town visiting a friend. Small shop, very clean. Not usually a fan of threading *ouch* but got my eyebrows done by Radha and she was great! My right eyebrow has always been hard to shape. It doesn't have the same natural arch as the other. Most threaders/waxers end up making it too thin, mishaped, etc. So I'm always hesitant to go to new places (even though I'm terrible at cleaning up my own eyebrows). I was recommended to come here by my hairstylist. I walked right in and was greeted by Rodha. She is so lovely, she explained the state she thought my eyebrows were in and what she intended to do. The results are gorgeous. I randomly seen some henna on her hand and she asked if I wanted to get one. So I don't know if this lady cannot read or if she is just lazy, but I made a waxing appointment online that states what I want done for my fiancé and for myself. (See picture as proof) as you can see my fiancé is from 230 to 315 and I'm from 330-450. We both left at 330. Why? Well when she did my fiancé "full face" all she did was his cheek and forehead and stated a man should have more hair so that's all she's doing. When she did mine it was not a full face as well but more that what she did for him. When I went back for the body. She gave me attitude saying I did not ask for the services. When I asked her about my arms she said (after staring at me for 3 mins) " next time be upfront with the services you ask for in the beginning" I said look at your own book where I stated exactly what I want. She tells me to NOT book online but instead to call because online does not work well. Ok, so why after I booked the appointment someone from the store called me confirming the services I needed since I had 2 people who needed many services? She says " oh I don't know, just call next time" when I finish my wax, my fiancé walks in the room for the body services and both girls yell at him saying he needs to wait for someone else because she has an appointment. If it's 330 and we're supposedly occupied from 230-450 how is there another appointment???? I left because I could not deal and most of the hair is still on both of our bodies anyway so she did a horrible job. This was supposed to be for our wedding smh edit since I cannot respond: IF YOU DO NOT DO FULL FACE FOR MEN. WHEN I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL WHICH I CONFIRMED (WITH HIS NAME UNDER THE APPOINTMENT) THAT HE WAS RECEIVING A FULL FACE WHY WAS I NOT TOLD ABOUT THAT POLICY THEN??? I have been here before, told the older lady natural eyebrows and she did a great job. Went today, and there was a line. Clearly they were rushed. I asked for an eyebrow threading and tint & even showed her a photo of how I wanted the tint to look (natural). Instead she globbed it all on, took it off after 2 minutes and left me with this MESS! It's so embarrassing I'm infuriated. She then tried to argue with me about her messing up my eyebrows. It went past my eyebrows! How does this even happen? I seriously look awful and can't stop crying. They mess up people's faces and don't even care or feel bad just cause they're in a rush. Shame on this business & the girl who did my eyebrows. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Waste of money & time just to look like a clown. Edit, since the owner is full of shit and replied: I voiced my opinion to the lady IMMEDIATELY while sitting down, and while i was at the register. I said multiple times they did not look good at all. In no way did I walk out happy, I'd love to see the camera since he's blantaly lying saying I didn't look "not happy" walking out. This review is for BIKINI waxing services - I notice that most of the other gushing reviews are for eyebrows/lip. And the woman doing the eyebrow waxing was different from the woman who did my bikini wax. This wasn't the *worst* bikini wax I've ever had ... but it was close. * The waxing room was FILTHY. I tried to take some pictures but the full extent of the grossness didn't show up. The floor hasn't been properly washed in months, the towel draped on the table she wanted me to lie down on was .... beyond disgusting ... the 2 waxing pots themselves were even super dirty. It's worth noting that the front area - where the eyebrow waxes happen - wasn't nearly so bad. * It was extremely painful, because she took way too much hair at once. When I complained, she said "It hurts more to go slow." No, actually, it doesn't. * She made me do a bunch of the work! This was the weirdest part, and also unpleasant. I've NEVER had a wax tech ask me to put my hands on my own body in such a way that I was assisting her process. * Even after all that, it was an incomplete wax! I was left with a bunch of prickly little hairs that I had to pluck myself when I got home. * I was also left with sticky wax residue all over me. Thank goodness I had some almond oil at home, and knew that that's what removes the residue. read more

Radha is meticulous in cleaning up around my brow without disturbing its shape. I trust her with the brows that frame my face, the first thing people see up close. I don't feel nervous that my brows could be misshapen, because she has maintained them for almost a year. She knows my preferences for little details that make a difference. For example, on tinted brows, some people like sort of a squared edge to the center of their brows (not for me) others like a rounded gradual-growth look (yes, for me). After going to Deeba's on Devon St. for over 6 years for threading when switching jobs into the City I could no longer make the hike to the far north-side. I had my brows waxed while in beauty school which left them uneven and resulting in my old brow spot constantly making them too thin. She proceeded to show me where my eyebrows were slightly uneven but managed to achieve my desired shape while not making them thin. Went yesterday to have eyebrows threaded. Patiently explained what I wanted. I got the total OPPOSITE!! They really messed up my brows...I hate thin brows! Had to stop her from threading...if I hadn't I'm sure it would have been much, much worse. Thankfully, they will grow back albeit slowly!! Do NOT patronize this business. They have zero integrity and even less skill. Not only did the woman burn my entire groin with the wax, but I have never had a more painful, unskilled, immodest experience. I had to shave the stubble the next day. To add insult to injury, one of the workers hung up on me when I called to complain and the management did not call me back for over a week. Once he finally did, he said "the only thing we can do is have you come in to show us what happened." I asked for a refund and he refused, trying to explain they had already paid the worker...as if that meant anything. I'm really torn about this place. I like how easy it is to get an appointment and location is great. However, twice I came here to get my nose waxed and the lady was too rough and my skin ended up scabbing. They only accept cash tips and don't even have the option to tip on a card. I understand it's cheaper for the owner but it's so inconvenient for your customers to have to worry about having cash. If you don't have cash to tip you're left looking like a jerk for not tipping. I definitely think this place has potential but just needs some tweaking. read more
