I had a great idea to trap a skunk that had been digging up my garden. Didn't really think what I would do if I caught it, which I did. I called the county and they said I had to release it. No idea how to get the cage open without get sprayed. I called Thomas and they could do it but because of the risk and the distance it was going to be more than I could afford. We were having issues with pigeons roosting on our roof and under our solar panels and were referred to Thomas Wildlife by two other contractors who had helped us before; gutter cleaning company as well as our pest control (NEAR You). Contacting was most difficult as emails were not replied to so that would be my only gripe. However they were extremely responsive to phone calls and we were able to schedule a consultation. We were given detailed explanation that Thomas Wildlife were in fact a roofing company that dealt with the niche market of pests which was more reassuring that they were expected to be very adept working on top of roofs and would be able to provide any solution to any unforeseen problems that may have arisen during the procedure. Ultimately we were able to expeditiously schedule a time for cleaning bird debris from the roof with power washing of the roof and solar panels, application of an enzyme deterrent, and installation of netting around the solar panel array. The crew was prompt, professional, and efficient. It was a bit more costly than what we had anticipated but we feel that it was worth the investment. After paying $10K to "rat proof" the property, I asked if it would be better just to replace the roof, and was told it didn't need replacing. Long story short--it definitely needed replacing, and now the $10K I paid was all for nothing. Also, their crew--many of whom were newbies--did a lot of damage to my house, and I am still paying for repairs. Lastly, if they plan to subcontract work to other companies, get a company you trust to do the work. I can't tell you the nightmare we experienced from the company they subcontracted to. Pigeons had gotten into the soffits at 2 places in the front and back of our roof and left an unbelievable amount of poop in there. Brandon was very professional and took care of the problem by first sealing off the areas with galvanized steel screen and later coming back and removing all the poop and disinfecting. This is a "dirty job" I could not have done on my own. His price may seem high but is rightly justified due to the high level of skill needed to accomplish the job and at great safety risk. Zero stars if I could. I paid Thomas Wildlife Control to do rodent exclusion work in my attic. Within three months the rats were back in the attic. After arguing back and forth with me about how much it costs them to send someone back out, they finally came to do an inspection. It took me sending them photos of a decaying rat in the trap they left to "prove to me that the rats were not in my attic" for them reinspect my roof. Of course they found additional access points and gave me an estimate for nearly $3500 to do additional exclusion work after paying them over $1,500 for their initial work. I should include that my house is a single story and less than 1500 square feet. Steer clear of them if you like your money. read more

About a week ago, I called a competitor using an online search, and told them my issue: I was hearing scratching through my wall and ceiling in my bedroom and needed someone to please help me figure out what it was and how to get it out. We are sleeping easy for the first night in a week (the sleep deprivation was so real, you guys) and honestly cherishing such a strange and magical day, seeing beautiful baby owls and no longer stressing about a wrong assumption. I could not be more grateful and impressed. They were able to repair the duct, block the entrance where the owls were entering, and were just so easy to have here. On a Wednesday evening when I came home from work I smelled something faintly putrid. The odor came from the 1/2 bath and my master bedroom closet (they share a wall). My plan was to have my regular pest control come out the next day to locate the carcass(es). By 3:30 a.m. the next morning, the odor was so bad, it woke me up. I had already closed up the 1/2 bath, so I emptied out my closet and closed that up. Pest control came and basically sprayed an odor neutralizer in every crevasse which seemed to make the odor worse. After researching online, I called Thomas Wildlife Control with fingers crossed because it was a Saturday and I was pretty sure I would demo the walls myself if I didn't reach them. Brandon, the owner, was able to fit me in and he and Karl came over, inspected the house, sniffed around and found where the rat was behind the drywall! I loved Thomas Wildlife Control because Brandon (the owner) and his staff took care of the squirrel problem @ our attic. We do not know squirrel(s) are above our attic until a hole was punched through our 2/F ceiling early last month. Then we know for sure that some "uninvited guests" were living up in our attic. We were referred by Salvador of Barrier Pest Solutions since these 2 companies work together before. Brandon sent his crew to our house within 2 days after he called us. It took him a total of 4 visits to finish up the repair and force the squirrel(s) out of our attic. Brandon put 2 traps at the attic during his 3rd visit. During his last visit, he confirmed that there are no more rodents in our attic. He then sealed the 1-way exit opening set up on the 2nd floor eaves of our house. It has been 3 weeks since Brandon sealed the 1-way exit opening. In the past 3 weeks, we saw a squirrel trying to enter our attic via the sealed entrance. Of course, it can't and we hear no more noise from the attic area since then. Brandon gives us a year of warranty for his repair. We definitely hope that we don't need to call him back. One thing which we need to mention about - the repair cost is a sticker shock for us but worth it since we are now in peace with no further damage done to our attic area. Several alarm wires at the attic are broken since last year and this is an early warning sign. Unfortunately, we keep ignoring this early warning sign until the ceiling is punched through. Brandon Thomas & his team came out to my father's place to look at a rat problem in his attic. The rats had destroyed his previous HVAC system and were running rampant in the attic. Terminix gave my father a quote for excluding the rats and replacing the insulation for $10K. Their plan would not have fixed the issue and was extremely expensive. Brandon is a full service contractor. He proposed excluding the rats from the roof. He found softball sized holes the rats had chewed in various places on the roof. He also fixed a lot of roof tiles. He took the tiles off and put new roof paper and mortar under the tiles where the rat entrances were. The cost was less than Terminix but most importantly, this wasn't just a way to make the attic look clean, it was a way to truly exclude the rats and repair the roof. Brandon came back and checked the traps he placed in the attic two times. He caught the rats that remained in the attic and we believe the issue is solved. We had a raccoon chew a hole in the roof over our master bedroom a few days before we were scheduled to leave the country for spring break. He is an absolute expert - gave us several options to remove the raccoon and babies - oh yeah, the babies, I forgot to mention the babies - and get everything sorted out so we could leave without worrying about a raccoon tunneling a hole into our bedroom while we were away. Not only did we have a critter problem in our attics ( he took photos, disgusting feces everywhere) we also had some pretty severe roof issues ( also photos). The recommendation was to seal access to attics, repair roof issues, remove existing insulation, sanitize and replace with new. We could chose to do do some or all of the work. We did it all. I needed some major exclusion work done on my 150 year old house after rats got into my walls, crawl space, and AC/heat ducts several years ago. Brandon charged me $125 to do an inspection and estimate, which amount would be applied to the cost of the job. I was initially impressed and hired him. The day the work was scheduled, Brandon never showed up or called to explain why. I tried to find out what happened; he promised to get back to me to reschedule, but never did. I left numerous voicemails and messaged him through his website, finally requesting that he refund my $125, since Brandon effectively defaulted on the job. I never heard from him again. I like to hire local people whenever possible, so was especially disappointed that a Folsom business owner would act so unprofessionally. I ended up hiring Official Pest Prevention out of Elk Grove.
