We had them replace the fabric on an existing retractable awning. They did a great job, on time, reasonable price.

Fantastic company! Hassle free and so easy to work with. I did my research online for an awning…read moreafter building a deck on the back of the house this past summer and decided we needed an awning. I found Awnings by Clark and looked through the website and liked what I saw and read and reached out to them. They returned my call a few days later (I called on a weekend) I set up a consultation at home and the sales agent showed up on time and was very professional and answered all of my questions with a satisfactory answer and explanations. He showed me awnings color samples and we selected the frame color and awning color and went from there. He explained that it takes about 8-10 weeks to make it and that they would call to set up the installation date around that time. Well temper actually ended up being quicker than the 8-10 weeks called to set a date for install. The woman setting my appointment explained it would take 3-4 hours to install and that if the day of installation turned out to be a bad weather day they would need to move it. That is completely understandable. My install day came and they ended up showing up earlier than my scheduled appointment and called to ask if it would be okay which I said it was but I needed an hour to get home from work and asked if they could grab lunch and kill some time, they said they could and they will see me soon. The installation crew showed up and were professional and courteous and explained the process of hanging the awning from the house and as they got it set up they would let know so they could ask for my input. Once they were completely finished they showed me how to use the Manuel crank to bring the awning in and out should the power fail, they showed me the open and close remote control and how to change the batteries on the wind sensor should the batteries die and how the awning will act if the batteries are dead. From start to finish the process was stress free and handled professionally and quickly. The awning we had installed was a motorized retractable awning with remote and opens to cover a 14' X 18'6" area. We paid for the optional wind sensor that detects winds that get up to 20 MPH and will retract itself so the wind won't damage it. The price tag at first seemed steep but after seeing it, using the remote and seeing the amount of sun it blocks I am extremely pleased with it and believe it is worth every penny.

The Deck Awning Company is great...when they want your money. Impossible when you need service…read more We hired The Deck Awning Company to install a Sonesta retractable awning for nearly $5,000. At the time, they were responsive, polite, and easy to work with which, in hindsight, makes sense because they were trying to secure a $5,000 job. Less than three years later, one of the awning arms developed a problem, and that's when the experience completely changed. For over three months, I've been trying to get them to come out and look at the awning. Instead of service, I've gotten multiple excuses, delays, and the general runaround. Phone calls and email requests frustratingly lead nowhere, and they have consistently shown zero urgency or accountability now that the job is apparently no longer profitable. To make matters worse, because it's a Sonesta awning, many other companies won't work on repairs unless they were the original installer (I would know, I was forced to contact many, to no avail). That effectively leaves you stuck with the company that installed it and in this case, a company that apparently has no interest in servicing its own work once the initial installation is completed. This business seems very happy to take thousands of dollars for installation, but when it comes to supporting their own product afterward, they magically disappear. Avoid this company entirely. If you're considering an awning installation, take your business to a company that actually stands behind its work and values customers beyond only the initial payment.

I was able to replace the batteries in sensor, and the issue is fixed. I will of course use them in the future. Not only for their expertise, but for their honest and professional advice. They could have easily said: " we need to come out and fix it" I would have done that. Integrity and great communication is the cornerstone of any company. The Deck and Awning Company's mantra. How refreshing. Particularly because the previous day I was totally scammed by a vent cleaning service who charged me double than market rate, but not telling me it would be more until they were at my house. Total scam. So - my experience today with Nick and Dave, restored my faith in human nature!!! I so very highly recommend them. Don't look ANY further. Rhonda J

It is like this company doesn't exist when you actually need support. Even more appalling is that the owner is completely unresponsive. There is a total lack of accountability from the top down; they are happy to collect your money, but they vanish the moment an issue arises. WARNING TO POTENTIAL BUYERS: Do not be fooled by any sales pitch. Once you are in, you are on your own. You will be met with a wall of silence from customer service and an owner who couldn't care less. This is an unprofessional, poorly run organization that should be avoided at all costs. Go elsewhere where the management actually communicates and respects its clients.

Getting them to rectify this has been insane. We have to initiate all communications, after 4 months, not sure this was worth the effort!!! December 2025: One of our screens tore (either from wind or installation). Gave David $2500. Now on March 13th, still do not have my screen, NO communication (I always initiate), VERY frustrated. Taking steps to escalate this through the courts and Local TV Consumer Investigative Reporting assistance. Interesting that Yelp has 2.9 stars (17 reviews) and only positive reviews on their website :( Respond to David's comment re: mfg issues - MY issue is his LACK of communication through both processes. Two weeks ghosting me :(
