Windows on Washington got the job. My windows and my doors were being manufactured. So they sent out a wonderful gentleman to get the final accurate measurements. Great guy. After that, communication was wonderful as were were assessed of the stage we were in. This included when we got the email and calls explaining that, since we were on a higher floor, they needed to bring in some equipment to lift the new doors up to our balcony. No surprises. Installation day was amazing as Joon and his team came in, got everything into place, and cleaned up the areas to better than when they got here. Joon then went over the features on our windows and even explained how we get to and clean the outsides of the glass. Wonderful man and amazing team. Since then, we have gotten copies of our warranty and the guarantees. And the company has reached out twice to ask if we have any questions and to ensure that we are happy with our windows. We are. We are very happy with our windows. Almost as happy as we are with the people who got them into our home.

Was this really the time to experiment with Pinterest while spending thousands of dollars? & I needed the furniture to last long enough that I wouldn't have to think about this again for a very, very long time. I also needed to buy everything during a pandemic, when everything was delayed... So I turned to an option I never had considered before - hiring interior designers. I had heard great things about this team and wanted to explore sourcing this huge project out to them. It's a pretty simple process. You go to their website and fill out an intake form that introduces yourself and the project. Then they'll sell up a virtual call to meet and discuss your style, and budget. Then they came and looked at the space, took measurements. Then they pitched a proposal. From there you have to make some decisions. They are going to present you with options that may be outside of your budget. This is where we gotta grow up a little and recognize that if you want nice things, this is how much that actually cost. I was happy to increase my original proposed budget to get what I needed. But there were some peices that I wanted to spend less on and they quickly came back with lower priced options. They were very adaptable there. With that, they placed the order! Over the course of the next few months, the furniture started arriving. They work with a contractor who you can hire (through them, they handle all the admin work) who can assemble, hang, etc do all that work for you. They even came over to make sure everything was hung in the right spots. There is a science and art to design that they are factoring into every decision for your space, and it's worth their fee to get all your nice new furniture all in the right place. They look for beauty and functionality in every detail of the space. So now I have this gorgeous dining room [photo provided]. Our guests are blown away whenever they walk even towards the space. It's exactly what I wanted when I described the target ambiance to the team. Beautiful, relaxed, warm, stylish. I can't tell you how happy I am with my experience with Splendid & Swanky and the confidence it brought me about my home. There were many companies around the country advertising online and a number of local companies that sell bath shower glass door enclosures. But we had difficulty finding area companies that would provide wall cabinet glass or that would come to us and take measurements. The owner, Ben, responded immediately and came to us in Maryland the next working day, arriving on time as scheduled. He also called and texted to let us know his status and ETA. We explored different design elements, including bubble and wave designs for the wall cabinet glass door inserts and the thickness options for the shelves. Ben worked patiently with us as we finalized our selection, advising us of the pros and cons of different options, and giving us multiple estimates. We finally decided on low-iron shatterproof glass. Ben was very quick coordinating with the materials suppliers and giving us the final estimate. He came out a second time for the down payment, remeasured and followed-up to gave us an estimated delivery date. When the materials arrived earlier than expected he rearranged his schedule to accelerate the install date. This was a huge help as we were living out of boxes during the renovation and did not want to unpack until all the work was done. Ben did an excellent job delivering and installing the glass in the midst of inclement weather. This included an additional trip to Home Depot during the install to get better quality anchors. Because of the limited number of companies in our area who were willing to come out to measure for a job this small, we could not compare pricing. But we think the price was fair and can recommend this company with no reservations. Note: According to the website, this company installs and repairs all types of glass, including not only glass cabinet fronts and shelves, but shower doors, windows and other glass.
