I have spent an exhausting amount of time trying to reach even a single person in customer assistance with zero success. It is like this company doesn't exist when you actually need support. Even more appalling is that the owner is completely unresponsive. There is a total lack of accountability from the top down; they are happy to collect your money, but they vanish the moment an issue arises. WARNING TO POTENTIAL BUYERS: Do not be fooled by any sales pitch. Once you are in, you are on your own. You will be met with a wall of silence from customer service and an owner who couldn't care less. This is an unprofessional, poorly run organization that should be avoided at all costs. Go elsewhere where the management actually communicates and respects its clients. read more

From previous review 2023: I love the product, but dealing with this company has been arduous!!! Of the 3 screens we had installed 1 is incorrect. Getting them to rectify this has been insane. We have to initiate all communications, after 4 months, not sure this was worth the effort!!! December 2025: One of our screens tore (either from wind or installation). Gave David $2500. Now on March 13th, still do not have my screen, NO communication (I always initiate), VERY frustrated. Taking steps to escalate this through the courts and Local TV Consumer Investigative Reporting assistance. Interesting that Yelp has 2.9 stars (17 reviews) and only positive reviews on their website :( Respond to David's comment re: mfg issues - MY issue is his LACK of communication through both processes. Two weeks ghosting me :( read more

If you would like $7,000 screen doors that have openings large enough for small insects to get inside, then I recommend this company. They set up an appointment to repair but never showed and do not answer phone or return messages read more

DO NOT TRUST!!! Terrible customer service. Will not answer calls, will not show up for appointments. They get their money, do the installation and that is it. I have been having issues from the start, and am beyond frustrated! 100% STAY AWAY! David Firke has ducked my calls for two years, and now I heard he is not with the company any longer. I set up a new appointment for this morning at 10 am and nobody showed. Nobody is answering there phones and nobody cares. STAY AWAY!! read more

Clearview Retractable Screens - The awning is coming apart at the seams. - Shades & Blinds Near Me - Reston, Virginia

Although the awning we ordered is as advertised, customer serv ice from the company is awful to non-existent. There were two problems with our installation, one of which is that a key part was missing. Although David Firke sometimes (rarely) answered his phone, he never followed up. On the phone he was pleasant and repeatedly promised to come out and fix the problems, but he never did. We probably called a dozen times. Do not be fooled by how pleasant he is in conversation. His promises are vacuous. I would never use him again. read more

Abysmal service from David Fikre. We have used him a total of three times, once screens and twice for awnings, over several years. He was fine until recently when we had to replace our awnings. He took our final payment without any authorization and without any contract beyond his original estimate. He then became totally unreachable and unresponsive, despite a flawed and incomplete installation. DON'T USE HIM. read more

Terrible! I agree with all the one star reviews, we have had the same issues! Do not trust David, he is awful! He will not call you back or contact you. Once he gets his money, he moves on. The installation was awful. They installed it too low and the screws came through our drywall, into our house--he won't answer any of our calls to come and fix it. This guy is a snake and his company should be reported. That is my next step! read more

I called on the 4th of June and David came out the same day. *Happenstance * they were quick, efficient, and professional. I was advised if the timeframe for delivery, being they customize and as advised my door was delivered and installed within 3-4 weeks. I highly recommend Clearview! read more

When I decided to install a retractable awning, I got 2 bids and David Fikre from Clearview was very responsive. The prices were comparable and I decided to go with Clearview because he seemed to be the more "buttoned up". I was happy with the awning with one major exception. He did not run the power cord behind the slate siding and it looked awful. Fortunately, I was able to get the installer for the other company - Shout out to Scott Peterson of Awnings and More - to rectify this. The second problem with Clearview was that once they got paid, they went MIA. I've been calling them pretty much every day to discuss an issue and they never call me back. One day, David accidentally answered my call and said he was on the floor of a trade show and thought it was his wife. He promised to call me back. Surprise, surprise, he never did. I love my awning now, but really can't recommend Clearview. And, I still have the issue I was calling David about which I guess will never be resolved. Check out Scott; he's awesome! read more

I LOVE these screens! They are so clear that our pets have made a run for it several times! The screens held up well. The dog checks it first before trying to run through now. :) I would have given 5 stars except for the lack of clean up of drilled materials and other bits and pieces and the technician did not wear a mask as asked when installing till we asked him to. I had asked for that protection from the start of the order. When I went outside (I wasn't home for the completion of the project), I stepped on a bit of metal with my bare feet that was scrap from the drilling. I wasn't hurt as I felt it before a puncture. I would have definitely appreciated a clean up of the work area. I definitely recommend the product and I think, if you ask it, that the issues above will not occur. read more

This company has been horrible to deal with. We purchased 2 screens and they were installed within a month. Within a few months both screens came off their tracks and needed to be fixed. After numerous calls, they came and picked them up. That was 2 years ago and we still haven't seen our screens returned. We have called many times and get excuses, or promises it would be taken care of, and nothing happens. We have been told numerous times it would be taken care of. Stay away from this company. read more

Initially we really liked the product. The price point was a bit high but not completely unreasonable. However after receiving our initial deposit, Clearview had delay after delays, with one excuse after another. We understood Covid and manufacturing delays but there have been no responses now to our emails or phone calls. One screen we are waiting for hasn't arrived and it's been about a year and another one doesn't work. I understand that there are supply chain issues but returning A phone call and fixing a broken screen under warranty should be easy. I would definitely recommend going with someone else. read more

Great company. The owner, David, was very nice. They were efficient, communicated well, were on time and installed two beautiful screens for us. Very happy with the process. Would use them again. read more

I am only reviewing the contact I had with Clearview; I did not choose this solution and did not work with Clearview. I called their number, they answered on 2nd ring and didn't put me on hold. I explained what I was looking for, and the gent on the other end graciously explained exactly what they do -- and the challenge I'd have trying to implement their solution into my needs. I love the solution that they offer -- retractable screen door(s). I was not careful in fully reading their excellent reviews...they ONLY do retractable screen doors, and I need a pet flap (dog door) which requires stable mount/frame at the bottom of the door. Today -- not all days -- I'm writing a review about a nice experience I had with someone that I can't do business with, at this time. Hopefully another time, the solution is great and my experience with them was terrific. Good luck, call Clearview if retractable screen door is for you. read more

We have a 20 ft deck of the kitchen and we are unable to use the deck during the summer months. My neighbor bought an awning from Clearview Screens and Liberty Awnings. I saw the way they did the installation and I was convinced that we needed to get one. We did out consultation wiyh David and we ordred our retractable awning the following week and we just just had installed. These Awnings are amazing. The installers were very professional. They cleaned up after themselves. They even used a blower to make sure theyy got everything. Great company. Great product. Professional installers. Ask for David for a sales consultation. He was as very thorugh and know what he talking about. read more

Great company with a great product, fast service, and excellent customer service. My husband and I have out swinging French doors and had Dave come by to measure and order screens. We loved it so much we got screens for our front door and basement door. I have both cats and dogs...this screen stands is holding up extremely well. Next year we'll be calling them to install an awning over our deck! I recommend these retractable screens for everyone. Changed the game for our household. read more

I had a Clear View screen door and a retractable awning installed end of last summer. I am so very happy with the products! I get compliments from everyone who visits my home and deck. David and his team are friendly and customer focused. David was also excellent with helping me select the color for the awning. He knows these products so well you get a consultation versus a sales pitch. I am totally pleased with my installation. read more

I never write yelp reviews but I had to write one for Clearview. David and his crew were the best. He was punctual to all the appointments and worked professionally to get our beautiful retractable screen doors installed. David was clean and cleaned up after all the work was done. I LOVE OUR NEW SCREEN DOORS!!!! We have two sets of double French doors and one single French door that were useless because I couldn't leave the doors open of fear of bugs or animals getting in the house. Now we can leave the doors open all we want! The screens are aesthetically pleasing because you only see the screen when you are using them; otherwise they are neatly tucked away in the retractable portion. I could not be happier with the product and service. If you are on the market for screen doors or awning, give them a call. read more
