None of them impressed me until Greg from Windows on Washington came over. He walked me through several options and explained how the windows they used were manufactured and why. Windows on Washington got the job. My windows and my doors were being manufactured. So they sent out a wonderful gentleman to get the final accurate measurements. Great guy. After that, communication was wonderful as were were assessed of the stage we were in. This included when we got the email and calls explaining that, since we were on a higher floor, they needed to bring in some equipment to lift the new doors up to our balcony. No surprises. Installation day was amazing as Joon and his team came in, got everything into place, and cleaned up the areas to better than when they got here. Joon then went over the features on our windows and even explained how we get to and clean the outsides of the glass. Wonderful man and amazing team. Since then, we have gotten copies of our warranty and the guarantees. And the company has reached out twice to ask if we have any questions and to ensure that we are happy with our windows. We are. We are very happy with our windows. Almost as happy as we are with the people who got them into our home.

Because it is a big project, I actually contacted at least 7-8 companies for quotes and ended up using American windows because of their best price and the best windows brand and glass package. Energy efficiency was my priority so I want the best price and best windows which seems to be very hard. But Jay (the project manager) made sure I got what I wanted. The team went out to install 40 windows and they absolutely did an excellent job. They were super friendly and professional. I'm very neat and detailed so they made sure all windows are cleaned and properly installed. After installing, they vacuumed and even mopped the floor for me. I'm very pleased with their work !

Ben was our point of contact throughout the entire project. He came out to take the initial measurements, talk through the project, and generate a quote. It was a complete zero-pressure experience. After receiving the quote I made an appointment to visit the showroom (though Ben also offered to bring some window samples to the house). We really liked the windows (Sunrise Restorations) and moved forward with the project. The installation went flawless! I'm a bit of a perfectionist and usually have to stop myself from nitpicking on small little flaws from general contractors, but American Windows did such a stellar job I couldn't find a single flaw in their work. I had to comply with HOA guidelines and they were very accommodating with that. The screens came on time and the installation was excellent. You can't just drive up to the Budget Blinds address and expect to look at blinds. Their address is…read morethe business address, not a showroom. Budget Blinds sends a rep to your house to show you samples and measure your windows, therefore, they don't need a storefront. It makes sense anyway because you need to see the colors of sample blinds/shades against your walls and trim. You think your trim is white? Maybe not. Hold up a sample of white shades and you can see you might be way off! The fiance and I used Budget Blinds a year ago to cover all our bare windows in our new house. Wayne, the owner came over and went over all sorts of options. We used roman blinds on our patio doors, honeycomb shades in our sunroom, shutters in a few rooms, then wood blinds throughout the rest of the house. That may seem like a lot of different styles, but they really fit each individual room and we've been super happy with our choices a year later. We had another lady come by first when we were looking at blinds and she suggested we get all the same blinds throughout the house so it would look uniform from the outside. Wayne was great because he pointed out that you're in your house 95% of the time you're looking at your blinds...so get what you want and don't worry about what they look like from the street! One of the things with the houses out here in Loudoun County, is that so many have these 2nd story windows in the front foyer of the house. And you can't reach that window. Ever. That means any peeper, neighbor, or random solicitor walking up to your house can get a full view if you want to streak across your upstairs hallway in the nude. The fiance and I disagreed a year ago if a covering was needed for that window. I, of course, wanted a blind on that window. He argued there aren't any peepers in the neighborhood. Well, after continuing to be creeped out for a year leaving the window bare, I called Budget Blinds again. Wayne came by and suggested I get a motorized blind for the peeper window. That way we could raise and lower the blind with a remote control. The blinds should arrive in a few weeks, and I'll feel so much more comfortable that strangers on the street won't get a full view into the 2nd story hallway of our house. Give Budget Blinds a try if you need window treatments. They aren't the cheapest, they aren't the most expensive, but a good middle ground with plenty of expertise where you see a full spectrum of choices. Once I was able to speak with someone, it could not have gone any smoother than it did. Tom arrived on time and brought everything I asked to see. He measured all the windows where I wanted to put blinds. We thought we knew exactly what we wanted, but Tom had many more choices than we expected. The cost was about half of what I expected - plus it included installation. I received an email when the blinds were being shipped and then another to schedule installation. The two people who arrived on time again, got in, installed everything, and were out the door about an hour later. That was 15 windows now covered with blinds in a hair over an hour! And they answered my questions after I checked every window to make sure they were all installed to my satisfaction. It's over a month later and I'm still very happy with the selection we made and the installation. I've already recommended them to others who are now scheduling their I installations.
