When I moved out of state in 2021 I asked for their help again with the entire first floor and one of the bedrooms in my new home. They helped me figure out how best to reuse what we selected for my old living room, as well as furnish a dining room and sitting room, make efficient use of a garage that had been converted to a bonus room, and select flooring and wall colors throughout. Probably the best thing you can say about our original furniture is that it was eclectic. More truthfully, it simply didn't really look that great, pretty much a "before" project on what you'd see on HGTV. Once Vanessa and Michelle got through with it, the interior of the house was totally transformed. The first step was Vanessa came through the house with her contractor, Arlin, and recommended changes to be made, including updating ceiling fans, light fixtures, installing recessed lights, etc. We didn't do everything she recommended but we did most. Vanessa coordinated all of the contracting work done by Arlin and his team, and provided all the quotes. The prices for the various jobs were very competitive, generally cheaper than other estimates I received from other contractors. The bottom line is that the results speak for themselves. We received multiple offers and sold the house for $110K over list within 5 days for the highest price ever sold in our neighborhood. I couldn't have asked for much more than that. I first contacted Allison as I needed advice regarding paint colors. I was going to have my entire…read moreapartment repainted and I was in a complete quandary as to colors. Allison came over and helped me select the right grays for my redo. She also helped to find a source for a custom headboard and custom decorative pillow covers. She helped me pick out new tile for my kitchen backsplash and recommended a tile installer, as well as someone who could remove a door and dry wall it in, a great painting company, and an expert wallpaper installer. Her charges are reasonable, and I really appreciated her help. When it was time for two bathroom redos, Allison worked with the renovator and plumber to help make the project go smoothly and help me make design choices. They all worked smoothly as a team, with great communication and teamwork. They understood my goal and made it happen. I recommend Allison for something as simple as a paint color consultation to a complex, full-flung renovation. She is friendly, brings samples of various colors and fabrics to your home, and will work with you to understand and achieve your personal vision. She gives excellent advice and has great sources and contacts.

My Christmas present from my Mom this past Christmas was dressing up the windows in my kitchen. So…read morewe had Warrenton Decor come out and look over the windows, take measurements, select a fabric and style - and get a quote. I decided to go for valances over the two windows - instead of curtains. I also had her price out a new curtain rod for the window in the dining room - that curtain rod had snapped and fallen of the wall due to the mounting hardware being inadequate to hold the weight of the curtain (the place that sold me the curtains and installed them has since gone out of business). Dawn brought in a ton of fabric sample books. I was having a hard time selecting something - nothing really resonated with me. I asked if there were any other fabric options? She brought one more book in from her car and Bingo! This one pattern immediately sang to me! So my Mom made the arrangements, a few weeks later the valances were completed and ready to install - they came out and installed them and they look really nice. The quality of the work is quite good. Additionally, the installed the new curtain rod and mounting hardware - this time that curtain is going nowhere!
