Probably the best thing you can say about our original furniture is that it was eclectic. More truthfully, it simply didn't really look that great, pretty much a "before" project on what you'd see on HGTV. Once Vanessa and Michelle got through with it, the interior of the house was totally transformed. The first step was Vanessa came through the house with her contractor, Arlin, and recommended changes to be made, including updating ceiling fans, light fixtures, installing recessed lights, etc. We didn't do everything she recommended but we did most. Vanessa coordinated all of the contracting work done by Arlin and his team, and provided all the quotes. The prices for the various jobs were very competitive, generally cheaper than other estimates I received from other contractors. The bottom line is that the results speak for themselves. We received multiple offers and sold the house for $110K over list within 5 days for the highest price ever sold in our neighborhood. I couldn't have asked for much more than that. Attached are a few pics of the finished product. I definitely recommend using Inspired Home Design for updating and staging your home. I'm sure glad I did.

Our clients have all been very happy with her work, as well as happy with our painting and remodeling finished product. We have a large painting and remodeling company that does high-end work for our clients, and we do around 200 projects a year. We are a high-end company so naturally our clients expect the best, and have high expectations. And FTC Interiors always delivers. We have worked with other designers (from different companies) who fell short, didn't show up on time, or provided design advice that our clients didn't like- but every single client has been very satisfied and felt completely helped by FTC Interiors and Andrea in particular. She is the best designer we have ever come across, and we've been using her as our go-to designer for many months now. I can't speak for Melissa, but from what I know about contracting and design, it sounds like a classic example of Melissa hiring a designer to do design, and then complaining and trying to unfairly hurt Andrea's reputation when the designer did not also act as a contractor too. It is not the designer's responsibility to install or remodel a home, only to design it. If Melissa chose to not hire a contractor, (and by her own words, she admitted she declined to hire the window treatment company) then that is on Melissa, not on Andrea. If you refuse to pay for an installation service, then how can you turn around and complain that you didn't receive an installation? ‍

I didn't know there were so many pieces to coordinate, but Andrea led me through the process of choosing everything to fit together. She had great advice and also had a good sense of my personal tastes. The installation was later than expected, so Andrea rescheduled (more than once - thank you!) the supplies delivery (which took up my whole garage) so they wouldn't be sitting around my house taking up space. Upon delivery she arrived to go through every single item to make sure everything needed had been delivered. During the remodel Andrea made timely visits to make sure everything was going as planned. She had a good relationship with my contractor and was always warm and friendly. During the project we were short a few tiles and Andrea scrounged up the extras in 24 hours and brought them over herself. Andrea is professional, knowledgeable and amiable. We had never worked with an interior designer before, but we knew an expert's assistance would be helpful given the amount of furniture and other decorating assistance we needed. Ali was a great listener and developed a vision for the house that fit both our lifestyle and tastes. She introduced us to pieces and patterns beyond those we would have found on our own. For each room, she provided multiple choices for furniture, patterns, rugs, etc.--at various price points and styles--and made sure that we could mix and match the different pieces while maintaining the overall vision for the room. In addition to her aesthetic talents, Ali was a huge help with logistics--placing orders, securing samples, and staying on top of suppliers and vendors. With the ongoing supply delays due to the pandemic, Ali kept us up to date as shipping and delivery dates changed. Drew does a nice job on his projects and is highly committed to his customers. He brought our…read moremid-century Broyhill Sculptra china cabinet back to life and did so with plenty of communication about our preferences on finishes and issues encountered, etc. Overall we're happy with the result. He is a very knowledgable and friendly guy. I was encouraged by his strong interest in the history of our piece and how it may have been constructed or refinished in the past. Once he started in on the refinishing, his work was very thorough. Since the cabinet has glass doors and displays dishes, he needed to sand and refinish the inside shelves and walls as well as the outside, and he completely took apart the door frames, installed new glass, and shored up the hardware. Being an older piece, the doors had some challenges with closing and always seemed a bit flimsy before the job, but after Drew's work they feel much more robust (in addition to looking great). I'm sure that working with these fragile doors was challenging and appreciate the care Drew took to get them and the inside finishes right. When we got to the finishing stage, Drew found a good solution for testing finishes in an area of the piece that wasn't visible and sent several pictures to help us preview and select the final finish. He made several helpful suggestions along the way about which finishes might look best. In the interest of full transparency, Drew quoted our job at 4-9 weeks and $1400 (we had another refinisher quote us the same price but with extra for delivery fees, so Drew's quote seemed fair). He turned the piece around in about 8 weeks and at the quoted price. He seems to have quite a few customers and due to other project obligations, he probably didn't start in earnest on our job until about week 6, so keep in mind that depending on conditions your project could end up on the long end of his range. This wasn't an issue for us, though, as Drew was very responsive and gave us regular updates on project and expected delivery timeline. Lastly, I think Drew's delivery methods could be improved a bit - transport is on a trailer that looks susceptible to some movement and bumpiness. One of our glass doors has a small and not very noticeable scratch that I'm guessing happened at some point in transit. Goes with the territory and certainly doesn't change our overall positive view of Drew's business, but an area where an upgrade may be warranted in the future.

Moreover, he came to our home to pick up and drop off the piece, which was unexpected and most appreciated.
