I have purchased blinds in the past and had a very good experience. This last experience has been poor. Part of it may be the sales rep. I had to place additional orders for hardware that I expected to come with the blinds. For example I had to place a separate order for the clips at the bottom of the blinds that hold the blinds in place when we open and close the door. I told the sales rep I was using them for the door but he never asked if I needed them. Either way they were an additional $5 for each window even after spending almost $1,000 on blinds. They don't ship to your house. You have to go back to the store. The blinds are good quality but so are the blinds at Lowe's. I can't justify giving my business to blinds to go for future purchases. I do not recommend. read more

My husband and I came here today specifically to shop for some window treatments for a new home that we just purchased. The current blinds in the place are at least 25 years old, and they barely work. We found this store online, and we were surprised by the enormous selection that they have here. Our Sales associate Sara gave us tons of information, and after talking thru the options , we decided to go for interior window plantation shutters. We've had regular blinds in the past and they always end-up broken or tarnished. I've seen this type of plantation shutters before and they are studier and will last 10 times longer. They are made from faux wood, and we liked the 3.5" luvers versus 2.5" luvers. They come in white, silk, and grey, and we liked the silk color which is more of an off white color. They have a great promotion going on which is buy 1 with the 2nd unit for 50% off that ends tomorrow. This is a deal that we could not pass up, and we pulled the trigger and purchased 8 sets of the plantation shutters. read more

I purchased 2 horizontal blinds and 3 verticle blinds for my home in August. Khadija was incredibly helpful in assisting me to select blinds. They work with a few installers so it was easy to schedule one of them to come to my home to take measurements of the windows and sliding glass balcony doors. My order was processed very quickly and I was able to have them installed in late August. The installer was able to install them in a very reasonable time. The valances for bedroom and dining room windows were velcroed to the blind's head to make it flush with the wall instead of using clips. The valance on the bedroom window has fallen off multiple times. This last time I noticed the headrail has a slight dent. I replaced the velcro strips with command strips and velcro pads. My windows are 55" wide and the velcro and command strips at each end of the valance were not strong enough; hopefully, the additional velcro in the center will provide enough support to prevent the valance from falling off again. The valance for the dining room window has not fallen down, although it does not get as much direct sunlight. The valances for the verticle blinds have metal clips at the top of the headrails. The valance on the balcony door that mostly faces East has fallen down once. I haven't experienced any problems with it since reconnecting it. read more

The showcase room experience was fun, but the ideas and products we were sold on did not work in application. And it was very, very expensive. Update with more detail: We were so excited to be purchasing professional blinds for the first time as first time home buyers, and there were so many wonderful options in the store. My wife and I had a very high level of confidence in our designer. Based on her demonstrations and guidance, we decided to go with blackout blinds upstairs, and something more aesthetic for our tall windows downstairs. It turns out that the blinds we picked will not work for our windows. Unfortunately, this was not identified by the installation professionals, even after they came and took measurements. Instead, we have had blinds partially-installed, after weeks of waiting, that do not work for various reasons/constraints. We have been told that our options are to keep the blinds that are basically reducing our property value, or get different blinds that must be installed externally. The external installation requires more blind material, and more damage to our window frames. We have also been told that we will need to pay the whole difference for the new blinds. Update 2 with follow-up info: We were eventually contacted by a manager who was very nice and worked with us on pricing to get blinds installed that worked with our windows. We are very thankful that he was empathetic to our situation and open to helping. However, even with the awesome manager's help, half of the new blinds installed are not level, we had to wait weeks for them to be put up, and after weeks of waiting, we had to reschedule the installation appointment since the gentleman did not arrive within the planned window of time (pun intended). Summary: I am increasing my rating to three stars because of how awesome the manager was, and his willingness to take partial responsibility for the mess we found ourselves in. However, I don't plan on using Blinds to Go in the future, aside from needed warranty interactions, which I am dreading the thought of, lol. read more

These guys do an excellent job! We highly recommend this company. They gave us a better price than Home Depot to buy the blinds, and they gave us the best install price of anyone. More importantly, they were courteous, flexible, (they came a different day at no extra charge when I needed to reschedule due to a hectic move-in schedule), and the lady working the sales was able to get us taken care of in a timely fashion and saved a lot of time. She was also really helpful with recommending different options and she knew all the features/benefits between synthetic and real wood blinds. Today I walked into this store with a broken blind (the wand mechanism had fallen out) that was purchased from Blinds to Go back in 2001 (that's 16 years ago!). Much to my surprise, the woman behind the counter, Ms. Nur, said she could fix it immediately. Wow! I thought they'd have to send the blind away to repair it. I was very excited when completing my order on November 5 hoping the sheer draperies and hardware would arrive by Thanksgiving. I received a text that there was a delay and to expect items around December 10. Sheryll with BTG was amazing to work with. Upon receiving the draperies on Dec 1 (sooner than expected) I discovered the measurements were incorrect and instead of 88" in length they were 36". In addition to the length error, there was no hardware and my family was told BTG would ship the hardware at some point. I will never be able to use the draperies and I don't see a refund or exchange option on the website. I contacted Sheryll and she responded immediately. It appears that the hardware will be sent at a later time, no date, but an option to return or exchange the items has not been presented. This is my first Blinds to Go order as I historically used Next Day Blinds. I will update this post when I receive the hardware and if I am permitted to exchange for longer sheer draperies, otherwise I will be purchasing 88" draperies elsewhere. read more

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at blinds to go. We went in a little hesitantly expecting a full force offensive sales pitch but it was the complete opposite. Ginger answered all of our questions only when we asked and was not pushy at all. Mohammed, the guy that does the installs was great as well. He was quick, efficient, on time, and very personable; couldn't have asked for better. I don't know how the prices really compared, but coming from home depot looking at the same type of quality they seemed competitive and obviously had way more selection. The whole process took less than a week. We went in the store and ordered them on Sunday, Mohammed came out to do the measurements on Monday morning (really early at my request so I could take care of it before work), the blinds came in on Thursday, and Mohammed came back to install them on Friday morning. read more
