Shades down- filters out the sun to keep the room cool but lets in just the right amount of light

Highly recommend Window Wears! We have a wall of windows that face West and the sun was really heating up the room every afternoon. I contacted Window Wears and was glad to hear that they cover Fairfax .They replied to my call that day and set up an estimate. Sandy was fantastic- she gave us great recommendations and helped us pick out the materials and answered all our questions. The estimate was very reasonable and they arrived as promised .Hector did a perfect job on the install. Window Wears has some of the best customer service of any company we've dealt with.

Bill from Window Wears was fantastic - great design sense, patient with decision making and re-making and a pleasure to work with. The installation was good also. The reason I am giving Window Wears a low rating is because of what happened later - the broken shutter and the company's response, or lack thereof. We purchased Sunland Shutters and after about one year, the staple connecting the tilt rod to one of the shutter pieces broke off. I called Window Wears and they said it would cost $150 to send someone out to repair. They said we could try to do it ourselves and sent me some staples. We still haven't tried it because we don't want to do more damage. Mike, the manager, told me it happens sometimes with the tilt rod and asked if I use it a lot. I said at least once a day or every other day. Then he told me he has these shutters but doesn't move the tilt rod much, indicating to me that if I want to keep the shutters from breaking, don't use them. We don't have young kids and we are careful with the shutters. The product is faulty. I even contacted the maker, who referred me back to the retailer. The guys at Window Wears know a lot and we've had no problem with the blinds they put in. However, their response to this broken piece was quite frustrating. The shutters were expensive, and came highly recommended by them. Before you buy, ask them what their warranty is and steer clear of Sunland Shutters.

I am obsessed with my new blinds! I had the pleasure of working with Sandy on picking my blinds. I had four window panes that needed to be covered but really two windows. I couldn't decide if I wanted one blind for each pane or one big blind with the window. Sandy recommended one big blind and I am SO glad I went with her recommendation. It looks amazing!! Hector was my installer - he was super professional and quick! I'd recommend window wears to anyone! I'm thinking about using them again to redo the blinds I self installed because these are just SO much better!!

I had started the job myself but got an anchor screw stuck and figured I should have a pro step in so I didn't wreck my new walls. All the supplies were here, placed where they needed to be, holes were measured and marked for custom made rods and drapes. He charges by the hour and moves very, very slow. He didn't have his own step ladder or anchor screws. In the first hour, he managed to put in 3 screws in holes that had already been marked. He claimed he "needed to remeasure" and that's why it took so long, but he used the holes that I had already marked. He also said it was too hard to do with custom cut rods. He also said it wasn't his fault because I had an anchor screw stuck in the wall already, which was the whole reason I hired him. This is what pros do: they come prepared, know the required materials and techniques, and advise the customer on the best way to proceed. I knew we needed to cut it off when he asked me how to use an anchor screw. He didn't know if you needed to pre-drill or not for a very basic and common anchor. I cannot imagine a professional handyman not knowing that. He used a level to stare at the pre-marked holes for what seemed like an eternity, just eating up time. 3 screws = $200. Seems like a nice enough man, but handyman may not be the profession for him, and that's giving him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't just trying to take advantage of someone he assumed was too naive too know how long the job should take. He became very defensive, making excuses when I said we'd need to end the job at one hour. Im sure judging by other less than 5 star reviews here (that I really wish I'd have taken the time to read) he will post a very defensive response here as well. Please just don't take a job you don't have the required expertise to complete, and I don't want to hear defensive excuses when I'm still out $200 for almost no work completed.

Had him hang about 8 paintings throughout the house. Very good, professional, responsive. Good…read morevalue for money spent.
